A communication system includes a master device, a connector, a superordinate trunk cable connecting the master device and the connector, a superordinate slave device connected to the connector, a subordinate slave device, and a subordinate trunk cable connecting the connector and the subordinate slave device. The connector includes a superordinate power line via which power is supplied from the master device, a power branching unit to divide the superordinate power line into a first power line connected to the superordinate slave device and a second power line connected to the subordinate slave device, a superordinate signal line via which communication data between the master device and the superordinate slave device is configured to be transmitted, and a subordinate signal line via which communication data between the superordinate slave device and the subordinate slave device is configured to be transmitted.

Communication system and connector

An industrial communication system includes multiple industrial instruments connected in series and including a first industrial instrument and a second industrial instrument connected to the first industrial instrument. The first industrial instrument includes a first storage that stores a first communication setting that is applicable to communication established between the industrial instruments, first reception circuitry that receives, based on the first communication setting stored in the first storage, a first signal from the second industrial instrument of the industrial instruments, a second storage that stores a second communication setting that is applicable to the communication established between the industrial instruments and that is a predetermined communication setting common to each of the industrial instruments, and second reception circuitry that receives, based on the second communication setting stored in the second storage, a second signal including at least a part of the first signal received by the first reception circuitry.

Industrial communication system, industrial instrument, and industrial communication method

A motor control system includes first processing circuitry that controls a motor. An upper-level communication path connects an upper-level communication port of the first processing circuitry to second processing circuitry that sends an instruction to the first processing circuitry via the upper-level communication path. A lower-level communication path connects a lower-level communication port of the first processing circuitry to a plurality of devices connected in series to each other. The devices include rotational angle detection circuitry and output circuitry. The rotational angle detection circuitry detects a rotation angle of the motor. The output circuitry outputs associated information that is associated with the motor and is different from the rotational angle or that is associated with an industrial device associated with the motor. The first processing circuitry performs a predetermined processing based on the rotational angle and the associated information, and sends a result of the predetermined processing to the second processing circuitry.

Motor control system, robot system, and communication method for motor control system

A synchronized communication system is provided in which even when communication devices are connected in series to a transmission path, devices connected to the communication devices are synchronized so that a communication cycle can be reduced. A second communication device includes a relay path and a return path which do not pass through a storage device, and a path selection switch therefor. A first communication device instructs switching of the return path from the transmission path, measures a transmission path delay time, notifies the second communication device of it, and sends a reference time of the first communication device for each communication cycle. The second communication device corrects its reference time using the transmission path delay time and the reference time. When a new second communication device is found during synchronized communication, the first communication device also performs transmission path delay measurement using the remaining time in the communication cycle.
