The present invention provides a coated solder material that is capable of preventing the advancement of oxidation of the surface during long-term storage and when melted, and that has excellent wetting extendability and bondability, without the occurrence of gaps in the bonded areas. A coating film is formed on the surface of a solder material; the coating film including a carbon compound that is formed by introducing an organic compound having a carbon number of 8 or less together with a carrier gas into a reaction gas that has been plasmatized under atmospheric pressure, and after a radicalized organic compound has been formed by radicalizing the organic compound, causing the radicalized organic compound to react with the metal on the surface of the solder material; the thickness of the coating film is 4 nm to 200 nm, and when heated at 150&#xb0; C. to 300&#xb0; C. and melted, the mass-reduction rate is 60% or greater.

Coated solder material and method for producing same

To provide excellent lithium-nickel composite oxide particles which have high environmental stability and are thus capable of suppressing generation of impurities due to absorption of moisture and a carbon dioxide gas, while being prevented from easy separation of a coating film because of high adhesion thereof and having lithium ion conductivity. Coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles, which are obtained by coating the surfaces of lithium-nickel composite oxide particles with a predetermined coating material, have electrical conductivity and ion conductivity and are capable of suppressing permeation of moisture and a carbon dioxide gas. Consequently, the present invention is able to provide coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles for positive electrode active materials of lithium ion batteries, which is excellent for use in lithium ion batteries.

Coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles and method for producing coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles

Provided are: superior coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles which have an environmental stability that enables suppression of the occurrence of impurities due to absorption of moisture or carbon dioxide, which have high adhesion that prevents a coating layer from readily separating, and which have lithium ion conductivity; and a method for producing such particles. Provided is a method for producing coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles, the method being characterized by contacting a cyclic siloxane with the surfaces of nickel-based lithium-nickel composite oxide particles to form surface coats. The particles have high adhesion to a coating layer and as a compound can suppress the permeation of moisture and carbon dioxide, and also have lithium ion conductivity. It is therefore possible to provide coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles that are excellent for use in lithium ion cells.

Coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles, and method for producing coated lithium-nickel composite oxide particles

Disclosed herein is a primer composition for metal materials, capable of forming a primer layer excellent in adhesion properties and film-forming properties on the surfaces of various metal materials such as common steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, copper, and zinc plating to impart high bond strength and high bond durability when the metal materials are bonded with an epoxy-based adhesive. The primer composition is intended to be applied onto the surface of a metal material to be bonded with an epoxy-based adhesive and includes an epoxy resin containing both a bifunctional epoxy resin containing at least a bisphenol A-type epoxy resin and a multifunctional epoxy resin containing at least a phenol novolac-type epoxy resin, a curing agent composed of cyandiamide, a curing catalyst composed of imidazole, and an inorganic oxide filler composed of silica and titanium oxide.

Primer composition

Disclosed herein is a primer composition capable of forming a primer layer excellent in adhesion properties and film-forming properties on the surfaces of various materials that may be bonded with an epoxy-based adhesive. The primer composition includes: an epoxy resin containing at least a bisphenol A-type epoxy resin and a phenol novolac-type epoxy resin; a curing agent being dicyandiamide; a curing catalyst being imidazole; and an inorganic oxide filler containing fumed silica, at least a surface of which is hydrophobic and which has a primary particle diameter of 7 to 40 nm and a specific surface area of 50 to 380 m/g, in an amount of 0.5 to 3 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the epoxy resins, wherein the primer composition includes no solvent.

A coated metal sheet has undercoat and topcoat paint films formed on the metal substrate. The undercoat film is composed of polyester paint, which is preferably prepared by adding methylated or butylated melamine resin as a curing agent to hydroxyl group-containing macromolecular polyester resin having a glass-transition temperature of 10.degree. C. or higher. The topcoat film is composed of the polyester paint which is preferably prepared by adding an isocyanate curing agent in an amount of 10 wt. % or more to hydrocyl group-containing macromolecular polyester resin. The substrate metal may be a chemically converted steel sheet, galvarnized steel sheet, stainless steel sheet or aluminum sheet. Since the coated steel sheet is bonded with excellent shear strength and durability, it is useful as the casing of electric home appliance or business machine, or a structural member or part for building or furniture.

Coated metal sheet bondable with adhesive

A method of manufacturing a vinyl chloride-coated steel sheet involving the steps of coating electron ray curable adhesives on the surface of the thin metal sheet, such as a zinc plated steel sheet or cold rolled steel sheet, laminating a vinyl choride film of decorative and corrosion resistant protecting property to the coated surface and irradiating electron rays the upper surface of the coated sheet with thereby bonding the film with the metal sheet as raw material, wherein the vinyl chloride film is formed by applying a calendering or extruding process to a blend including a vinyl chloride resin obtained by suspension polymerization and, from 20 to 40 parts by weight of a plasticizer, dialkyl tin mercaptide type stabilizer, an acryl oligomer type lubricant and, optionally, pigments and other ingredients. Combined use of the dialyl in mercaptide stabilizer and the acryl oligomer lubricant has been found to be particularly suitable for electron ray irradiation, as well as to the subsequent UV-ray exposure which would otherwise cause significant degradation in the vinyl chloride coating.

Vinyl chloride-coated steel sheet

A method of manufacturing a vinyl chloride-coated steel sheet involving the steps of coating electron ray curable adhesives on the surface of a thin metal sheet, such as a zinc plated steel sheet or cold rolled steel sheet, laminating a vinyl chloride film of decorative and corrosion resistant protecting properties to the coated surface and irradiating the upper surface of the coated sheet with electron rays thereby bonding the film with the metal sheet, wherein the vinyl chloride film is formed by applying a calendering or extruding process to a blend including a vinyl chloride resin obtained by suspension polymerization and from 20 to 40 parts by weight of a plasticizer, dialkyl tin mercaptide type stabilizer, an acryl oligomer type lubricant and optionally, pigments and other ingredients. Combined use of the dialkyl tin mercaptide stabilizer and the acryl oligomer lubricant has been found to be particularly suitable for electron ray irradiation, as well as to the subsequent UV-ray exposure which would otherwise cause significant degradation in the vinyl chloride coating.
