Provided is a control device for an internal combustion engine, employing a microprocessor to control a load other than an ignition device, the control device being provided to an internal combustion engine in which is installed a magnet generator that has a magneto coil for successively generating, in association with revolution of the internal combustion engine, a first half wave voltage, a second half wave voltage of different polarity than the first half wave voltage, and a third half wave voltage of identical polarity to the first half wave voltage; and the magnet generator employing the second half wave voltage to drive the ignition device. The device is provided with an electricity storage element which draws excess power from the output that is output by the magnet generator for the purpose of driving the ignition device, and which is charged by the first and second half wave voltages, as well as being charged by the second half wave voltage as well at times that the internal combustion engine is in the exhaust stroke, in order to supply power to the load and to the microprocessor. The power source circuit is constituted to use the energy stored in this electricity storage element to generate power source voltage for presentation to the microprocessor and to the load other than an ignition device.

A battery charging control device comprising a control circuit that performs control to keep a voltage across a battery charged by an output of an AC generator around a target value, comprising: a load driving switch inserted between the battery and a load; and a load driving switch control circuit that performs control to turn on the load driving switch when the AC generator generates the output and a voltage across the load is equal to or lower than a set value, and turn off the load driving switch when the voltage across the load exceeds the set value lower than the target value of the voltage across the battery.

Battery charging control device

A generator apparatus driven by an internal combustion engine and comprising a revolution controller to control a revolution of the internal combustion engine so as to maintain a desired value of a terminal voltage of a battery which is charged by an output of an AC generator driven by the internal combustion engine while controlling an actuator for operating a fuel supply adjuster, an engine start controller to give a start instruction from a timer circuit to start means when the battery is discharged until the terminal voltage is lowered to a set value and an engine stop controller to give a stop instruction from the timer circuit to stop means when the battery is perfectly charged by the operation of the engine until the revolution of the engine is lowered to a stop revolution thereof whereby the starting and stopping operations of the engine are controlled without undercharging and overcharging the battery.

A battery charging apparatus comprising a controller to control on-off controllable switch elements of an AC power source output short circuit and including a first control section to control the on-off controllable switch elements so that they are at an on-state when an instantaneous terminal voltage of a battery exceeds a first set value and a second control section to control the on-off switch elements so that they are at an on-state when an average voltage of the battery exceeds a second set value and serving to control them when a power source switch is closed.

Battery charging apparatus

A rotational speed control system for an internal combustion engine capable of preventing a dead time or dead section from occurring in controlling of a rotational speed of the engine. An integrating circuit is controlled by means of an output of a comparator for comparing a rotational speed detection signal with a target rotational speed setting signal, to thereby obtain an integral voltage which falls and rises when the rotational speed detection signal is above and below the target rotational speed setting signal, respectively. Comparison of the integral voltage with a sawtooth signal voltage leads to a pulse signal subjected to pulse width modulation. The pulse signal is fed to an actuator driving circuit to carry out on-off controlling of a drive current for the actuator. Connection of voltage limiting circuits to the integrating circuit causes a variation of the integral voltage to be limited within a range of amplitude of the integral voltage, to thereby eliminate the dead time or dead section.

Rotational speed control system for internal combustion engine

In an electronic governor for an internal combustion engine provided with a fuel injection pump having a control rack for adjusting fuel supply, a constant speed control signal Vnd for control to maintain the deviation of the actual speed N from a designated speed No within a permissible range, and a maximum rack position control signal VLd for control to maintain the deviation of the rack position from the maximum position for the particular speed N within a permissible range, are inputted into a control mode selector, which outputs the constant speed control signal Vnd when a speed detection signal Vn is not smaller than a designated speed signal Vno, or when the speed detection signal Vn is smaller than the designated speed signal Vno and the rack is below the maximum position, and outputs the maximum rack position control signal VLd when the speed detection signal Vn is smaller than the designated speed signal Vno and rack is above the maximum position. The output of the control mode selector is used to control the rack to cause the deviation of the actual speed N from the designated speed No or the rack position from the maximum position to be within a certain range.

Electronic governor for an internal combustion engine

In an electronic governor for an internal combustion engine provided with a fuel injection pump having a control rack for adjusting fuel supply, an accelerator position signal Vs and a speed detection signal Vn are inputted into a speed deviation operation circuit for producing a speed deviation signal, which is integrated by an intergrator. The integral signal from the integrator is used for controlling the rack. The integral signal is also inputted into a droop operation circuit producing a droop factor signal Va whose magnitude is proportional to the intergral signal. The speed deviation operation circuit produces, as the speed deviation signal, a signal corresponding to Vn-(Vs+Va) or Vn-(Vs-Va).
