The present disclosure provides a transceiver device and scheduling device, and communication methods for transceiver device and scheduling device. The transceiver device comprises a transceiver which, in operation, receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), indicating a frequency range included in a carrier and applicable for transmission to be performed between the transceiver device and a scheduling device and a slot format indicating a sequence of symbol types by which the transmission is to be performed on a plurality of symbols included in a slot on the frequency range, the symbol types including at least one of an uplink symbol type, a downlink symbol type, and a flexible symbol type, and circuitry which, in operation, determines, based on the PDCCH, the frequency range and the slot format. In a base station, control circuitry determines, based on an offset for defining a frequency position of a narrowband allocated to an MPDCCH and a resource block group size of a system band, allocations of a first EPDCCH set and a second EPDCCH set that constitute the MPDCCH. The MPDCCH is a PDCCH for MTC. The second EPDCCH set has a different number of PRBs from the first EPDCCH set. A transmitter transmits a control signal according to the allocations of the first EPDCCH set and the second EPDCCH set. Further, the control circuitry controls a number of RBGs in which both the first EPDCCH set and the second EPDCCH set are allocated to be zeto or one.

The present invention relates to selection of synchronization source among various synchronization sources which include sources determining the synchronization signal from the network such as base stations (network nodes) or user equipments which receive the synchronization signal possibly over other hops from the base station, and which further includes sources which do not determine their synchronization signal from the network. The selection of the synchronization source is performed by choosing the source with the most reliable synchronization signal based on a metric calculated for each of the sources considered. In particular, the metric is based on the type of the source, number of hops between the network and the source and/or received signal quality. After selecting the source, the timing of the device is adapted accordingly.

In the present invention, a terminal can appropriately perform a random-access process. In a terminal (), a wireless transmission unit () transmits a random-access signal including at least a data part. A rank determination unit () controls the configuration of the data part on the basis of a parameter regarding the transmission of the random-access signal.

Provided is a base station that performs feedback with regard to data transmission. The base station includes a downlink feedback information (DFI) generation unit and a transmitter. On the basis of a resource allocation configuration that was configured by a terminal, the DFI generation unit determines a transmission method for feedback information that includes a response signal regarding uplink data. The transmitter transmits the feedback information on the basis of the transmission method.

A base station () is provided with a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter () transmits a downlink signal in a downlink transmission region, in a time unit that includes the downlink transmission region, an uplink transmission region, and a gap period that is a switching point between the downlink transmission region and the uplink transmission region. Tracking area code transmission in non-terrestrial networks

The present disclosure relates to a user equipment comprising a receiver receiving a minimum-system-information message from a first radio base station. System information for the first radio cell that can be acquired by the UE is carried within the minimum-SI message and one or more additional-SI messages. The minimum-SI message includes system information for accessing the first radio cell and at least one system information index, each of which is associated with one of the additional-SI messages. The SI message index comprises a value tag and an area pointer, the latter pointing to one area already defined. Processing circuitry determines whether the UE had already acquired before the additional-SI message associated with the same value tag and the same area. If the determination is positive, the processing circuitry determines that system information included in said additional-SI message acquired before is applicable to the first radio cell.
