An exhaust-gas introducing passage is branched, on an outlet side of a valve, into parts, correspondingly to the number of an exhaust port of an internal combustion engine and the branching section is located at a position directly opposed to a movable valving element of the valve so as to cause exhaust gas to easily flow only in the direction of the outlet, which has introducing passages of exhaust gas communicating with a plurality of intake ports of the internal combustion engine to approach as near as possible a state in which each of the introducing passages is isolated from another introducing passages, and they assume an aspect just as if the introducing passages do not substantially communicate with one another.

Exhaust-gas recirculation system

An exhaust gas recirculation device in accordance with the present invention has an exhaust gas recirculation valve interposed between the exhaust system and the intake system of an internal combustion engine, an exhaust gas recirculation cooler for cooling exhaust gas sent from the exhaust gas recirculation valve to the intake system, and a bypass valve that bypasses the exhaust gas recirculation cooler and sends the exhaust gas to the intake system. The exhaust gas recirculation cooler is put adjacently between the exhaust gas recirculation valve and the bypass valve.

Exhaust gas recirculating device

In the exhaust gas recirculation system disclosed herein, two closure valves (,) are provided on the movable shaft (,) so that exhaust gas can flow into a movable space (,) through openings formed by the movement of the two closure valves (,) in their movable range. The pressure effecting on the two closure valves (,) is canceled out and the movement of the movable shaft (,) is not prevented by high pressure of the exhaust gas. Therefore, even in the case of high temperature and pressure exhaust gas of the diesel turbo-type car or like vehicles, the movable shaft can be driven accurately with a relatively small power stepping motor (,).

Exhaust gas recirculation system

An exhaust gas re-circulation valve which allows the accurate control of high temperature and pressure exhaust gas flowing through the engine exhaust gas re-circulation passage of a turbo diesel vehicle or the like. Valve seats,, valves,and a valve shaft are mounted on a valve housing,and an adjustable adjusting mechanism,is provided which allows both the first valve,and the first valve seat,and the second valve,and the second valve seat,to close in abutment by displacement or deformation. In this way even if there is an irregularity in the process or assembly accuracy of the components of the exhaust gas re-circulation valve, it can be absorbed by the adjustable mechanism,. As a result the formation of gaps between the valve and the valve seat as a result of irregularities in the in the process or assembly accuracy of the components of the exhaust gas re-circulation valve can be prevented and valve accuracy can be improved.

Exhaust gas re-circulation valve

The present invention relates to a mounting device for an exhaust gas re-circulation valve which prevents the overheating, due to high temperature exhaust gas, of a stepping motor powering the opening and closing of the valve and the valve main body of an exhaust gas re-circulation valve which opens and closes the exhaust gas re-circulation passage of an engine. The valve body,of the exhaust gas re-circulation valve is buried in a component,of the engine having a lower temperature than the exhaust gas. In such a way, the high temperature of the exhaust gas may be absorbed, dispersed and radiated and as a result there is no need to provide a separate cooling structure such as a coolant chamber and the overheating of the stepping motor,due to high temperature exhaust gas may be prevented.

Mounting device for exhaust gas re-circulation valve

Exhaust gas re-circulating valves are provided in an exhaust gas re-circulating passage communicating with an exhaust system and an intake system of an engine provided with a plurality of cylinders such that the distance between the exhaust gas re-circulating valve and a corresponding cylinder is identical for all the cylinders.

Exhaust gas re-circulating apparatus

A supercharge pressure control apparatus comprises a crimped member for securing an enclosure to a mounting member fixed in an internal combustion engine by crimping, a notch formed at one end portion of the crimped member for preventing the end portion from becoming cracked, a diaphragm disposed inside the enclosure for partitioning the interior of the enclosure into a first pressure room and a second pressure room, a holder disposed on the diaphragm and inside the second pressure room, a spring disposed inside the second pressure room for urging the diaphragm in the direction of the first pressure room or in the opposite direction through the holder, and a rod which is able to move backward and forward in accordance with the pressure of gas applied to the first pressure room for controlling the pressure of air to be supplied into the internal combustion engine. Furthermore, the mounting member has a generally circle-shaped hole through which the rod is penetrated, and the crimped member is crimped over an edge portion of the mounting member surrounding the hole so as to rigidly secure the enclosure to the mounting member.

Supercharge pressure control apparatus

A secondary air supplying apparatus for an internal combustion engine and a gas heating apparatus are provided to enable high-performance exhaust gas purification in a catalytic apparatus of the internal combustion engine, in particular, even at a low-temperature starting time. A secondary air supplying apparatus supplies secondary air to the catalytic apparatus through a secondary air introducing path for communicating the intake side of the internal combustion engine with an exhaust manifold. In the apparatus, a gas heating apparatus having an exothermic body is provided for the secondary air introducing path.

A flow quantity valve controller includes a unit for positioning so that a phase of a stepper motor becomes a predetermined phase when a motor shaft making a linear move with rotation of the stepper motor is pulled most into the stepper motor side. When the motor shaft is pulled most into the stepper motor side, a flow quantity valve controller changes a stepper motor drive signal to a drive signal corresponding to a predetermined phase.
