Provided is a lepidocrocite-type titanate capable of suppressing the interference with the curing of a thermosetting resin and a resin composition having excellent wear resistance. A lepidocrocite-type titanate has a layered structure formed by chains of TiOoctahedra, wherein part of Ti sites is substituted with ions of two or more metals selected from the group consisting of Li, Mg, Zn, Ni, Cu, Fe, Al, Ga, and Mn and runs of at least one metal selected from alkali metals other than Li are contained between layers of the layered structure.

Lepidocrocite-type titanate, method for producing same, and resin composition containing same

Provided are aluminum titanate capable of providing a sintered body having a low coefficient of thermal expansion, a high porosity, and high mechanical strength, a production method of the same, and a sintered body of the columnar aluminum titanate. The columnar aluminum titanate has an average aspect ratio (=(number average major-axis length)/(number average minor-axis length)) of 1.5 or more and its magnesium content is preferably within the range of 0.5% to 2.0% by weight relative to the total amount of titanium and aluminum in terms of their respective oxides.

An electroconductive compound in a flake form, characterized in that it comprises a titanium oxide which has an average long diameter of 1 to 100 &#x3bc;m and an average thickness of 0.01 to 1.5 &#x3bc;m, and contains potassium in an amount of 0.3 to 5 wt % in terms of potassium oxide (KO) and, formed on the surface thereof, a first electroconductive layer comprising a tin oxide containing antimony and, formed on the first electroconductive layer, a second electroconductive layer comprising a tin oxide.
