The computing apparatus includes a first system having a first display unit and configured to execute processing by a first operating system ('OS'), and configured to display, on the first display unit, display information based on the processing by the first OS. The computing apparatus also includes a second system having a second display unit and configured to execute processing by a second OS, and configured to display, on the second display unit, display information based on the processing by the second OS.

Apparatus, methods, and program products are disclosed for transferring objects between multiple displays. One apparatus includes a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. The code is executable by the processor to detect a first edge swipe performed by a first set of user fingers on a first object on a first touch screen of a computing device. The code is further executable by the processor to move the first object from the first touch screen to a second touch screen of the computing device in response to detecting the first edge swipe. Methods and computer program products that perform the functions of the apparatus are also disclosed.

An electronic apparatus having a display is disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes a first main body having a first touch sensor; a second main body having a second touch sensor; a detecting unit that detects whether the second main body is in an open state or in a closed state; and a control unit that controls the first and second touch sensors. When the detecting unit has detected that the second main body is in the open state, the control unit enables the first touch sensor and disables the second touch sensor. When the detecting unit has detected that the second main body is in the closed state, the control unit enables the second touch sensor and disables the first touch sensor.

A touch pad includes: a center button region; a first button region disposed adjacent to the center button region; a second button region disposed adjacent to the center button region on the opposite side of the first button region; a load sensor configured to detect load at least at the center button region, the first button region and the second button region; and a controller configured to determine a detection by the load sensor of load of a first upper-limit value or higher at least at one of the first and second button regions as a depressed state, and determine a detection by the load sensor of load of a second upper-limit value or higher at the center button region as a depressed state. The second upper-limit value and the first upper-limit value are different. Particularly, the second upper-limit value is larger than the first upper-limit value.

Next, the computer system detects one or more touch point movements originating from one or more of the plurality of touch points and determines a type of sector in which each of the touch point movements enters. In one exemplary embodiment, a plurality of displays can each be configured to display a portion of a desktop. A duplicate can be created of a window displayed on a first one of the displays. An approach is provided that filters out inadvertent contact with a touch pad input device. A filter area is defined within a surface of a touch pad input device that is accessible from an information handling system, such as a computer system. When a user of the information handling system contacts the surface of the touch pad, an input stream is received. The input stream includes an origination point where contact was initially made by the user. If the origination point is within the defined filter area, then the input stream is filtered out (not processed). On the other hand, if the origination point is outside of the defined filter area, then the input stream is processed by the information handling system.

Filtering of inadvertent contact with touch pad input device

A tablet PC capable of providing continuous utilization of a sound signal collected from a microphone without requiring any user intervention when a use mode thereof has been changed from a PC use mode to a tablet use mode is disclosed. The tablet PC includes a set of microphones to form a microphone array. The tablet PC is able to operate in a sound emphasis mode wherein sound signals collected from the microphones are processed while forming an emphasis space, and to operate in a non-processing mode wherein the sound signals are processed without forming the emphasis space. When a user manipulates a chassis orientation of the tablet PC from a PC use mode to a tablet use mode, the tablet PC operates to process the emphasis space so that the sound signals collected by the microphones can be utilized in the tablet use mode.

A technique is provided for improving visual recognition of letters, graphics, etc., in a portion of a displayed image that has been enlarged. An image display system includes an image display component for displaying on a screen an image based on image data, a region indicator component for permitting a region to be enlarged from the image to be selected and identified, a data modification component for modifying the portion of the image data corresponding to an enlarged display region so that the selected image is enlarged and displayed within the enlarged display region on the screen, and a brightness adjusting component for adjusting values instructing brightness of the corresponding image data part such that a contrast of the image within the enlarged display is higher than a contrast of the original image within the enlarged display region.
