A vehicle controller includes: an engine controller configured to perform an IS control upon satisfaction of a predetermined stop condition and an engine restart control upon satisfaction of a predetermined restart condition; an HDC controller configured to perform, when the vehicle is traveling on a downhill road and a deceleration request according to an HDC control occurs, a target vehicle speed-based deceleration irrespective of brake operations by the driver; and an information acquisition part configured to acquire progress status information related to the engine restart control and including information on initiation and completion thereof. When an engine restart request according to the IS control and the deceleration request according to the HDC control occur in a temporally overlapping manner, while the engine controller performs the engine restart control in a prioritized manner, the HDC controller allows performing the target vehicle speed-based deceleration on the basis of the progress status information.

A vehicle control apparatus includes: a VSA-ECU and an ESB-ECU that perform braking control to apply a braking torque in response to a brake operation by a driver of a host vehicle, and also perform brake holding control to hold the braking torque even when the brake operation is cancelled; and an engine control unit that performs idling stop control to stop driving of an engine that is a drive source of the host vehicle when a stop condition is satisfied, including that a vehicle speed of the host vehicle enters a predetermined low vehicle speed region, and also performs restart control to restart the engine when a predetermined restart condition is satisfied. The engine control unit prohibits execution of the idling stop control during execution of the brake holding control.

Vehicle control apparatus and vehicle equipped with vehicle control apparatus

A control device configured to control a vehicle is provided. The device comprises: a traveling control unit capable of executing stop hold control in an automatic brake hold function and a one-pedal function; and an output control unit capable of displaying a first indicator indicating that the one-pedal function is enabled and a second indicator indicating that the automatic brake hold function is enabled. The traveling control unit exclusively executes the automatic brake hold function and the one-pedal function. In a brake-by-wire vehicle brake system using a feedback control unit () for producing a brake fluid pressure according to a brake input, a response restricting unit () restricts a response property of the feedback control unit when an extraneous brake fluid control operation is detected. In a brake-by-wire vehicle brake system that uses a solenoid shut-off valve (), the electric power supplied to the solenoid () of the solenoid shut-off valve is controlled so as to decelerate a movement of a plunger () of the valve as the plunger reaches a point immediately adjacent to a terminal point thereof. Thereby, a highly responsive property can be achieved while the noises that are generated by the plunger striking a stopper () or a valve seat () can be minimized. When actuating the plunger in the valve closing direction, the solenoid may receive electric power at a first level, a second level lower than the first level and a third level intermediate between the first and second levels in that order.

An antilock brake control system for a vehicle including normally-opened solenoid valves, normally-closed solenoid valves, and diodes. Each of the normally-opened solenoid valves is switched over among a turned-on state in which a predetermined first electric current is permitted to flow through the coil, a turned-off state in which the supply of the electric current to the coil is topped, and a middle state in which a second electric current lower than the first electric current is permitted to flow.
