A maintenance management ground system includes a data management unit and a determination unit. The data management unit holds and manages information on the life of a part to be installed on a railroad car. The determination unit determines whether it is necessary to replace a first part with a new replacement part within a period in which a periodic inspection of the railroad car is performed, on the basis of the life information, and information on a scheduled carrying-in date and a scheduled carrying-out date. The scheduled carrying-in date is a date on which the railroad car is to be carried into an implementation site where the periodic inspection is performed. The scheduled carrying-out date is a date on which the railroad car is to be carried out of the implementation site. The first part is expected to reach the end of its life after the scheduled carrying-out date.

A drive control device for electric vehicle includes a motor part, and a converter part that controls driving of the motor part. The motor part includes a motor frame made of metal and accommodating a stator and a rotor. The motor part has an outer circumferential face. The converter part is disposed around the motor frame. The converter part includes a semiconductor module including a semiconductor element. The semiconductor module is directly or thermally in contact with the outer circumferential face of the motor frame.

Drive control device for electric vehicle

An electric vehicle drive system includes: a reactor; and electric vehicle control apparatuses that control electric motors for driving an electric vehicle. Each of the electric vehicle control apparatuses includes: a capacitor that defines a filter circuit together with the reactor; an inverter circuit that supplies power to the corresponding one of the electric motors; and a control unit that controls the inverter circuit. The inverter circuit is housed in a housing together with the capacitor and the control unit. The reactor is connectable to each of the housings through an electric wire having any desired length. At least one of the electric wires connecting the reactor and the housings has a length of 2 meters or more.

Electric vehicle drive system and method for protecting electric vehicle control apparatuses

A storage battery module includes battery cells, a first member and a second member opposing the first member across a substrate. The first member closes the space between adjacent terminals, and covers an open surface of a housing in a state where the terminals of the battery cells are exposed. The first member is formed of a material having a thermal resistance greater than or equal to a first threshold. The substrate opposing the battery cells across the first member has holes through which the terminals are inserted and a conductor formed therein so as to electrically connect the terminals. The second member opposing the first member across the substrate surrounds the terminals projecting from the holes and covers the substrate with the terminals exposed from the holes. The second member is formed of a material having a thermal resistance greater than or equal to a second threshold.

Storage battery module

This storage battery module includes battery cells, a first plate-shaped member, and a second plate-shaped member opposing the first plate-shaped member across an insulating member. The first plate-shaped member has conductors formed therein. The second plate-shaped member has formed therein a heat dispersion region opposing at least a portion of the conductors of the first plate-shaped member across the insulating member. Heat generated in the conductors of the first plate-shaped member is transferred to the heat dispersion region of the opposing second plate-shaped member, and the heat is dispersed inside the heat dispersion region.

Electronic components included in a power conversion unit are housed in a closed section of a first unit, and the first unit includes a heat sink exposed to an open section and releases heat transferred from the electronic components. A blower is housed in a first space of a second unit, and at least a portion of an impeller of the blower is exposed to a second space from an opening. A reactor is housed in a third unit. Outside air flows through a flow inlet into an interior of the power conversion device, passes through the open section, a first vent, the second space, the opening, the first space, a second vent, and the third unit, and then is discharged to the exterior of the power conversion device from a flow outlet.

Power conversion device

A variable gauge train control device comprises an inverter, a location detector, and a torque calculator. The inverter collectively controls torques of main electric motors. The location detector detects an entry into a gauge changeover section. The torque calculator, upon detection by the location detector of the entry into the gauge changeover section, suspends idling control that otherwise restricts the torques of the main electric motors and calculates a first torque pattern for making the inverter operate in accordance with the torques of the main electric motors.

Variable-gauge-train control device

An inside of a housing of a power conversion device is partitioned by partitioning walls, and the power conversion device is configured from: an open part, into which external air flows; a first airtight part that is adjacent to the open part and into which no external air flows; and a second airtight part that is adjacent to the first airtight part and into which external air does not flow. At least two ventilation holes are formed in a partition wall between the first airtight part and the second airtight part. A circulation fan is provided to at least one of the at least two ventilation holes. The outer surface of the first airtight part is provided with a heatsink that dissipates heat transferred from an electronic component placed in the first airtight part, the heatsink being exposed to the open part.

A housing of a power conversion device is partitioned into sealed and open parts. A first housing containing a primary-side electronic component connected to a primary winding of a transformer has a first opening through which a first connection conductor is inserted, the first opening being blocked by an aperture surface included in a third housing containing the transformer and filled with an insulating member. A shortest distance between the first connection conductor and an edge of the first opening is greater than or equal to a first threshold. A second housing containing a secondary-side electronic component connected to a secondary winding of the transformer has a second opening through which a second connection conductor is inserted, and is blocked by the aperture surface. A shortest distance between the second connection conductor and an edge of the second opening is greater than or equal to a second threshold.

A battery internal state estimation apparatus including: an internal state estimation unit, which inputs at least one of measured values obtained by a battery measurement unit at preset sampling intervals including a current flowing through a battery, an inter-terminal voltage, a temperature of the battery, and an ambient air temperature, for estimating, based on the measured values, at least one of a state of charge, internal temperature, capacity, and internal resistance of the battery as an internal state of the battery; and an internal state correction unit for correcting estimated values of the internal state obtained by the internal state estimation unit so that the estimated values are not contradictory at least to qualitative properties of the battery, and outputting the corrected values to an output unit.

Battery internal state estimation apparatus

A hybrid-vehicle power generator control apparatus includes an integrated control unit that issues a driving command and a control command to an engine control unit and an electric-power conversion system control unit, respectively, based on requested electric power requested by a load apparatus, and a limiter that limits the control command from the integrated control unit such that when rotation frequency of an electric power generator is same as or lower than a predetermined value, the value of torque generated by the electric power generator becomes smaller than the value of torque generated by an engine. A limitation of the control command by the limiter prevents torques of the engine and the electric power generator from stepping out of the stable operating points.

Hybrid vehicle power generation control apparatus

A charge-discharge control device () charges and discharges power storage devices () through control of a converter () by a controller () and through control of a converter () by a controller (). When the charge-discharge control device () acquires no warming-up operation command, the charge-discharge control device () charges the power storage devices (). When the charge-discharge control device () acquires a warming-up operation command, the charge-discharge control device () repeats warming-up operation to discharge one of the power storage devices () and charge the other of the power storage devices () using the discharged power so that the power storage devices () alternately discharge.

A hybrid drive system includes first and second power supply devices that supply direct-current power; first and second power storage devices are respectively connected to the first and second power supply devices so as to accumulate or discharge the direct-current power; a first load device that receives a supply of the direct-current power from the first power supply device and the first power storage device and drives a first load; and a second load device that receives a supply of the direct-current power from the second power supply device and the second power storage device and drives a second load. The hybrid drive system includes an inter-group contactor for electrically connecting and disconnecting input terminals of the first power storage device and the second power storage device.

A determinerdetermines, based on a value obtained from the voltage compensation signal, whether or not an abnormality is occurring in at least one of the electric motors. A shutdown controllershuts down, upon the determinerdetermining that an abnormality is occurring, the power supply from the inverter circuit to the each of the electric motors.

A charging and discharging device includes a switching circuit, an input of which is connected to a power supply, the switching circuit adjusting an output current IB to a power storing unit connected to an output of the switching circuit, and a control unit configured to generate an ON/OFF signal DGC to the switching circuit. The control unit includes a temperature-rise control unit configured to separately generate, based on a signal BTMP equivalent to the temperature of the power storing unit, a control signal FC for adjusting a ripple component of the output current IB and a control signal OFS for adjusting a non-ripple component of the output current IB and generates the ON/OFF signal DGC based on the control signal FC and the control signal OFS and outputs the ON/OFF signal DGC to the switching circuit.
