A gas measurement adapter includes a flow tube portion configured to allow gas to pass through the flow tube portion, and a window portion configured to allow measurement light for measuring a component of the gas passing through the flow tube portion to pass through the window portion. The window portion is thinner than the flow tube portion and is molded integrally with the flow tube portion. The window portion comprises an effective portion configured to allow the measurement light to pass through the effective portion and an outer peripheral portion provided on an outer periphery of the effective portion. An inner surface of the window portion is configured such that an outer perimeter of the effective portion is contiguously coplanar with the outer peripheral portion.

Gas measurement adapter

To provide a gas sensor kit and a gas measurement system in which a problem in arrangement of a signal processor and an atmospheric pressure sensor at the time of measuring a gas is solved. A gas sensor kit includes a sensor and a connector. The connector includes an atmospheric pressure sensor measuring an atmospheric pressure and a signal processor. The signal processor receives a measurement signal indicating a transmitted light quantity of a target gas from the sensor and obtains a measurement value of a concentration or a partial pressure of the target gas based on the measurement signal. The signal processor corrects the measurement value of the concentration or the partial pressure of the target gas by using an atmospheric pressure value measured by the atmospheric pressure sensor.

A respiratory waveform analyzer, operable to analyze a respiratory waveform, which is generated based on a temporal change of a concentration of a component in respiratory gas of a subject, includes: a respiratory gas concentration generator which generates a concentration signal based on an output signal from a sensor that is placed to measure the concentration of the component; a flatness calculator which calculates a flatness indicative of flat degree of the respiratory waveform based on a temporal change of the concentration signal; and a reliability calculator which calculates a reliability of the respiratory waveform based on the flatness and the concentration signal.

An airway adaptor that measures the concentration of at least one of a specific component and the flow rate of a supply gas and a return gas. The airway adapter may include a tube having a flow path in which the supply gas and the return gas passes. The tube may include a first end having a first aperture for guiding the supply gas into the flow path, and second end having a second aperture for guiding the return gas. Further, the airway adapter may include a measurement device operable to measure at least one of the supply gas and the return gas in the air flow path and a partial shielding disposed at the first aperture and structured to shield a portion of the air flow path. The supply gas may be a respiratory gas and the return gas may be inhaled or exhaled breath of a person.

Gas flow system, adaptor, and method

In a sensor for detecting a carbon dioxide gas in an expiration gas of a living body, an airway case is adapted to be disposed below nostrils of the living body, and formed with an airway passage extending across an optical axis of a light beam emitted from a right emitter of the sensor. A mouth guide is adapted to be disposed in front of a mouth of the living body so as to define a space communicated with the airway passage. The mouth guide is pivotably supported on the airway case. A retainer is adapted to retain an oxygen supply tube on the airway adapter body in such an attitude that an oxygen gas supplied from prongs of the oxygen supply tube is not directly injected into the nostrils.

Carbon dioxide sensor and airway adapter incorporated in the same
