The disclosed technology is directed to an ultrasonic probe comprises a probe main portion configured to transmit ultrasonic vibration generated by an ultrasonic transducer. A treatment portion is configured on a distal side of the probe main portion along a longitudinal axis thereof. The treatment portion includes first direction surfaces disposed in a first direction intersecting the longitudinal axis and second direction surfaces that are adjacent to the first direction surfaces and are disposed in a second direction different from the first direction surfaces. The first direction surfaces further includes a plurality of surfaces formed into a staircase shape when being viewed from the treatment portion and one or more surfaces formed into a staircase shape when being viewed from a side opposed to the distal side of the treatment portion. The second direction surfaces further includes a plurality of surfaces formed into a staircase shape toward the distal side.

Ultrasonic probe, ultrasonic treatment instrument, and ultrasonic treatment assembly

A vibration transmitter includes: a proximal end extending portion; a supported portion; a distal end extending portion; a first relay unit provided between the supported portion and the proximal end extending portion; and a second relay unit provided between the supported portion and the distal end extending portion. The second relay unit includes a horn that is constructed such that an outer diameter at a position continuously adjacent to the supported portion is larger than: (i) an outer diameter of the first relay unit at a position continuously adjacent to the supported portion, and (ii) the outer diameter of the distal end extending portion. The horn expands amplitude of vibration output from a distal end of the distal end extending portion to be larger than a maximum amplitude at an antinode of vibration in the first relay unit or the proximal end extending portion.

Vibration transmitter, ultrasonic transducer structure, and medical device

An ultrasonic vibration transmittable probe includes a probe body configured to transmit ultrasonic vibration generated by an ultrasonic transducer. A treatment section is provided on a distal end side of the probe body along its longitudinal axis and is configured to cut a treatment object with the ultrasonic vibration. The treatment section includes first to third cutting surfaces disposed at progressively proximal positions. A portion of the first cutting surface has a dimension along a first orthogonal direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis that is smaller than a dimension of the second cutting surface along the first orthogonal direction.

Ultrasonic vibration transmittable probe and ultrasonic treatment assembly

An ultrasound probe includes a probe body, and a treatment unit. The treatment unit includes: a cutter that is provided at a distal end part of the treatment unit and that cuts the bone according to move of the treatment unit along a longitudinal axis in a state where ultrasonic vibration is being transmitted to the probe body; and a path that is provided in the treatment unit and through which debris of a bone that is cut by the cutter are discharged along the longitudinal axis toward a proximal end side with respect to the cutter. The path includes a first opening that is provided in a distal end surface of the cutter; and a second opening that is provided in a side surface part of the treatment unit, wherein the path allows the first opening and the second opening to communicate.

Ultrasound probe and ultrasound treatment tool

A method of performing a procedure on a meniscus, via an ultrasonic surgical tool. The ultrasonic tool includes a probe capable of transmitting ultrasonic vibration from a proximal end toward a front end. The probe includes a bent portion that is inclined with respect to a longitudinal axis of the probe, and a procedure portion that is disposed at the front end of the probe and has a plurality of cutting surfaces. The method includes: inserting the probe in a body; moving the probe through a space in between the femur and the tibia to position the procedure portion adjacent to the horizontal rupture in the meniscus; positioning a cutting surface of the procedure portion on a posterior portion of the meniscus; and resecting the horizontal rupture along an inclination of the meniscus to form an inclined resection plane.

Ultrasonic probe

A curving section is always disposed in a projection plane of a probe main body section. The curving section includes a first bending surface which bends relative to a peripheral surface of the probe main body section to approach a longitudinal axis, thereby intersecting the longitudinal axis; a second bending surface which bends relative to the first bending surface toward a bending direction of the first bending surface and a direction away from the longitudinal axis; a third bending surface which bends relative to the second bending surface toward a direction to approach the longitudinal axis on a side reverse to the bending direction of the first bending surface, and extends toward an extension line of the first bending surface.

An ultrasonic probe includes a treatment portion that has a through-hole or concave portions. The through-hole extends from a first outer surface to a second outer surface facing in an opposite direction to that of the first outer surface. The concave portions include a first concave portion on the first outer surface, and a second concave portion on the second outer surface. The treatment portion includes a blade formed along an edge of an opening of the through-hole or the first concave portion. An outer relay surface extends from the blade to the second outer surface and faces away from a center axis of the through-hole or the concave portions. A distance from the center axis to the blade is greater than or equal to a distance from the center axis to the outer relay surface at a position between the blade and the second outer surface.

Surgical device

An ultrasound device includes: an ultrasound generator; an ultrasound probe; and a distal end treatment portion capable of forming a bone hole when pressed against a bone. The distal end treatment portion includes a base portion, and a distal end portion. The distal end portion includes projections and a valley portion between adjacent projections. Each projection is formed of at least one excision surface that is inclined from a base of the projection to a distal top of the projection. The excision surface is capable of finely crushing the bone. The valley portion includes a valley peak at a distal-most meeting point of adjacent projections such that a surface of the valley extending distally from a point at which the valley meets an outer surface of the base portion to the valley peak is inclined.

Ultrasound device

An ultrasonic probe includes a first bent extending portion provided on a distal side with respect to a narrowed portion and extending in such a state as to bend toward a first crossing direction side crossing a longitudinal axis, and a second bent extending portion continuous with the distal side of the first bent extending portion and extending in such a state as to bend toward second crossing direction side opposite to the first crossing direction. The second bent extending portion includes a blade portion, and in a projection seen from the distal side, the first bent extending portion and the second bent extending portion are located within a minimum inside diameter of a sheath.

Combined ultrasonic treatment device and probe for arthroscopic surgery

A vibrating body unit includes a vibration generator, a vibration transmitter and first amplitude enlarger. The vibration generator generates ultrasonic vibration whose amplitude has a predetermined correlation with a frequency. The vibration transmitter has a proximal end and a distal end while the vibration generator is attached from a proximal side, and transmits the ultrasonic vibration to a distal side in a longitudinal axis direction. At least one first amplitude enlarger is provided in the vibration transmitter, and enlarges the amplitude of the ultrasonic vibration at a first amplitude enlargement rate in a direction of transmission of the ultrasonic vibration, the first amplitude enlargement rate having a correlation with the frequency opposite to the predetermined correlation.

Vibrating body unit and ultrasonic probe

An ultrasonic probe includes a probe main body section; and a curved extending section which is extended in a state of curving relative to the probe main body section toward a first intersecting direction side. The curved extending section includes a first curved outer surface facing the first intersecting direction side, and a second curved outer surface facing a second intersecting direction side. A first curve start position at which the first curved outer surface starts curving relative to the longitudinal axis toward the first intersecting direction side is positioned on the distal side with respect to a second curve start position at which the second curved outer surface starts curving relative to the longitudinal axis toward the first intersecting direction side.

An ultrasonic probe includes a probe main body section to which the ultrasonic vibration is transmitted from its proximal end to its distal end; a curving section which is bent relative to the probe main body section; and a treating section which is continuous with a distal portion of the curving section to treat the knee joint. The curving section has a central axis which is bent at an angle of 5 degrees or more and 8 degrees or less relative to the longitudinal axis of the probe main body section, and is always disposed in a projection plane of the probe main body section, when the probe main body section is seen along a longitudinal axis from the proximal end toward the distal end.

In an ultrasonic probe a tapered section in which a sectional area perpendicular to a longitudinal axis decreases from a proximal side toward a distal side is provided on the distal side with respect to a probe main body section. When the probe main body section and the tapered section vibrate in an established frequency range, a most distal vibration node positioned most distally among vibration nodes is positioned on the proximal side with respect to a proximal end of the tapered section, and a &#x215b; wavelength of the vibration is smaller than a taper dimension from the proximal end the tapered section to a distal end of the tapered section in a longitudinal axis direction.
