A circuit breaker includes a main case containing a contactor section, an arc-extinguishing device and an overcurrent tripping device; a middle cover laid on the main case, the middle cover having in a central section thereof a recess partitioned with a bottom wall for containing a switching mechanism and at least one interior attachment; and a top cover covering the top side of the recess in the middle cover. The main case, the middle cover and the top cover are arranged to be dividable from one another. The middle cover has an auxiliary cover, covering the switching mechanism, and the auxiliary cover has the top cover mounted thereon.

Circuit breaker

A circuit breaker includes an elongated movable contact having a contact at one end thereof for flowing a current therethrough and the other end rotatably supported with a holder, and a protection cover made of an insulating material for covering and protecting a movable contact from short circuit and discharge. The protection cover is made of only the insulating material, covers the movable contact, and has elasticity to tightly hold the movable contact.

A contactor device of a repulsion-type circuit breaker includes a first movable contactor with a first movable contact to be driven by an open-close mechanism; a fixed contactor; a second movable contactor having second and third movable contacts; a first contact spring for urging the first movable contactor toward the second movable contactor; and a second contact spring for urging the second movable contactor toward the first movable contactor and the fixed contactor. The first movable contactor, fixed contactor, and second movable contactor are arranged such that when an over-current flows, an electromagnetic repulsive force is generated so that the first and second movable contactors are rotated against the first and second contact springs to open between the first movable contact and the second movable contact and between the fixed contact and the third movable contact before the open-close mechanism opens the first movable contact.

Contactor device of circuit breaker

A circuit breaker includes a movable contact, a fixed contact, a switching device, a switching operation handle, and an over-current tripping device. The switching device has a switching lever connected to the handle, a toggle linkage having an upper link and a lower link for connecting to the movable contact, a tripping mechanism for activating the toggle linkage in response to over-current, and an operation spring tightly stretched between the switching lever and the toggle linkage. A locking member is provided in the switching device for interconnecting the toggle linkage and the switching lever and for restricting a movement range of the switching lever according to an operational position of the toggle linkage. When main-circuit contact points are stuck, the locking member restricts the movement of the switching lever and prevents the handle from moving to the OFF position.

A circuit breaker includes a fixed contact; a movable contact disposed in a rotary-type contact holder; a switching device; an operation handle; and an over-current tripping device. The operation handle is operated to open and close main-circuit contact points through the switching device. The switching device includes a handle lever connected to the operation handle; a toggle linkage having an upper toggle link and a lower toggle link; a switching spring placed between the handle lever and an arm connecting point of the toggle linkage; and a side plate for holding the components. The circuit breaker further includes a device for preventing the operation handle from moving to an off position when the contact points are stuck together. The device includes first stoppers formed on a cross bar of the contact holder and the handle lever facing the cross bar, and a second stopper formed on the side plate.

A circuit breaker has a main housing, and a pocket-shaped auxiliary equipment storage section is formed in the housing. A cassette type auxiliary switch is inserted into and attached to the auxiliary equipment storage section. The auxiliary switch is connected to a switching mechanism in the main housing of the circuit breaker so that the circuit breaker performs switching operations. The circuit breaker includes a locking device for positioning the auxiliary switch inserted into the auxiliary equipment storage section at a predetermined position. Further, an engagement-type stopper is provided for fixing the auxiliary switch at the position where the auxiliary switch is inserted into the auxiliary device storage section.

A circuit breaker includes a molded case comprised of a case and a cover. Terminal parts to be connected to a power supply and a load are provided respectively at front and rear ends of the molded case. A control mechanism for switching a movable contact is disposed between the front and rear terminal parts. The cover is divided into three parts for covering the control mechanism and the terminal parts disposed at front and rear of the control mechanism, respectively. The front and rear parts of the cover covering the terminal parts are detachably mounted on the molded case as terminal covers.

In relation to a circuit breaker, a left-side accessory switch storage section and a right-side accessory switch storage section are provided in a breaker case . A contact point of an ancillary switch provided in one of the accessory switch storage sections is opened or closed in conjunction with an output protrusion formed on an open-close lever of an open-close mechanism section on the main unit. A contact point of an alarm switch provided in the remaining accessory switch storage section is opened or closed in conjunction with an alarm output plate which operates in association with tripping action of the breaker. The output protrusion is caused to oppose an operation lever of an ancillary switch which is formed into a symmetrical bifurcated shape and which is provided in the accessory switch storage section. The alarm output plate constitutes a pivotal lever coupled to a toggle shaft of the open-close mechanism section. An output protrusion provided at the extremity of the pivotal lever is caused to oppose an operation lever of the alarm switch provided in the accessory switch storage section.

Circuit breaker, and accessory switches thereof

A circuit breaker of the invention is formed of an attached switch installed in a breaker main body case and moving synchronously with an opening and closing lever of an opening and closing mechanism section to detect ON or OFF status of the circuit breaker. The attached switch has an operating lever moving vertically and placed opposite a tip of the opening and closing lever when the attached switch is installed in the main body case. The operating lever has an interlocking hook additionally provided thereon and linked with the opening and closing lever so as to hook the tip thereof, and an attached switch housing section formed in the main body case has a hook guide at a bottom thereof for guiding, in a position where the attached switch is installed, the interlocking hook to a position where the interlocking hook engages the opening and closing lever.
