The content of the A element, [A]/([Ni]+[A]+[Zn]), is 5 to 16% (where [A] represents the molarity of the A element,[Ni] represents the molarity of nickel, and [Zn] represents the molarity of zinc in the crystallite). [Zn]/([Ni]+[A]+[Zn]) is 1 to 10%. The nickel hydroxide includes &#x3b1;-phase nickel hydroxide and &#x3b2;-phase nickel hydroxide.
