A composition ratio estimation device estimates a composition ratio of a content having mixed substances with different boiling points in a tank. The content is retained as a liquid in the tank lower part. The substances are partially floatable as a gas or liquid in a space in the tank upper part. The device includes a reference object disposed in the space, a transmitting-receiving unit that transmits radar waves toward the reference object and the surface of the liquid and receives reflected radar waves, a temperature measuring unit that acquires a level at which a boiling point of a floating substance is reached, a dielectric constant calculating unit that stores in advance a physical distance between the unit and the object and calculates a dielectric constant of a space between the unit and the object, and a composition ratio derivation unit that derives a composition ratio of the liquid.

A radar signal detecting apparatus is provided. The radar signal detecting apparatus includes a coupler diverging a part of signal from received signal, a local oscillator outputting local signal, a mixer converting the diverged signal multiplied the local signal into low frequency signal and a detector detecting, a radar signal from the low frequency signal by using a threshold above side lobe.

The object of the present invention is to provide a simple wireless repeating method and a repeater suitable for application to Time Division Multiple Access-Time Division Duplex communication methods. Transmission data transmitted from a base station and a mobile station at different time slots of a frequency for call channel use is received at a call channel receiver, analyzed every time slot at a frame analyzer and stored at a storage part. The data stored at the storage part is then read by a frame configuration unit on the timing of time slots Tb1 and Tb2 allotted to the base station and the mobile station prior to transmission and transmitted from a transmitter at the frequency for call channel use. The mobile station can therefore make calls with the base station with the same procedure regardless of whether or not a repeater is present or absent.

A digital demodulator compensates for frequency offset between modulated and unmodulated carrier signals by detecting the frequency offset during a preamble with a known modulation pattern. Samples obtained during the preamble are stored in a memory during clock recovery, and read from the memory after the recovered clock signal has become stable. Phase offset is detected from a histogram of the phase differences between the two carrier signals, calculated modulo a certain phase angle, and compensation for phase offset is applied. The maximum histogram value is found by comparisons made according to a single-elimination tournament plan. In a diversity receiver, the maximum histogram value is used to select the output data.

The shielded area 3 which is shielded from radio waves is provided at the entrance to the protected area 1, for example, installed with medical equipment. The transmitter 6 in the shielded area 3 transmits the control signal 11 to the portable telephone 5, which returns the response signal 12 in response to the control signal 11. The receiver 7 receives the response signal 12 to notify the alarm 8 that the portable telephone 5 in operation. Thus, the alarm indicative of turning off the portable telephone 5 urges the holder 2 thereof not to carry the portable telephone 5 into the protected area 1.

If a mobile station or a base station considers it necessary to perform a hand-over, a new base station is selected as a hand-over receiving base station and a hand-over supplying base station is defined as a master base station whereas the hand-over receiving base station is defined as a slave base station depending on the master base station. The slave base station receives a signal from the master base station, compares it with a frame timing signal of the master base station, adjusts a frame phase of the slave base station into a frame phase of the master base station, and adjusts a frame phase of a down link line from the slave base station to the mobile station into a frame phase of a down link line from them aster base station to the mobile station. Further, the slave base station adjusts, in response to a signal from a mobile station targeted to be handed over, a frame phase of an up link line from the targeted mobile station to the slave base station so that a hand-over without break can be performed.
