A connector has a detector () is provided in a housing () for movement in a front-rear direction, and can move from a standby position to a detection position when the housing () is connected properly to a mating housing (). The detector () includes two side walls () arranged to face each other in a width direction with a lock arm () provided on the housing () therebetween. A detecting body () is assembled with the lock arm () between the side walls () and can tilt together with the lock arm (). Couplings () have tilting fulcrums () configured to resiliently deform when the detecting body () is tilted. The couplings () extend in oblique directions intersecting the width direction from the side walls () to corresponding side surfaces of the detecting body ().

The present disclosure provides a connector device capable of simplifying an assembly work for a counterpart connector. In particular, the present disclosure provides a connector device where a work direction of a main connector and a work direction of a connector position assurance (CPA) device are the same as each other. Further, the present disclosure provides a connector device that prevents unintentional unlocking due to carelessness with a bridge part formed on the CPA device wrapping an elastic arm that determines a locked state.

Connector device

A connector device with improved workability in fitting connectors may include a plurality of connectors configured to be fitted to a plurality of mating connectors, and a holder configured to hold the plurality of connectors in parallel so that the plurality of connectors are collectively fitted to the plurality of mating connectors. The holder may include a pair of halves, and the pair of halves may be coupled to each other with the plurality of connectors in between.

A butting surface () is formed on a tip of the receptacle () of a male connector (M), and a smooth sealing surface () is formed on a back side via a tapered surface (). A pad () to be butted in a compressed state by the butting surface () when the male connector and a female connector (M, F) are connected is mounted in a back part of a terminal accommodating portion () of the female connector (F). A seal body () separate from the pad () and held in close contact with the sealing surface () in a watertight manner is mounted in front of the pad () in the terminal accommodating portion ().

A connector device includes one or more terminal fittings connected to a wire, a plurality of connectors configured to be fitted into a mating connector by accommodating the one or more terminal fittings, and a holder for holding the plurality of connectors side by side, wherein the holder includes a wire cover portion surrounding the wire drawn out from the plurality of connectors, wherein the wire cover portion includes a contact piece for contacting the drawn wire to suppress a movement of the drawn wire.

A connector device with improved workability in moving a detecting member to a detecting position may include a plurality of connectors configured to be fitted to a plurality of mating connectors, a detecting member arranged movably to a standby position or a detecting position with respect to the plurality of connectors and allowed to move to the detecting position when the plurality of connectors are normally fitted to the plurality of mating connectors, a holder configured to hold the plurality of connectors in parallel and an operation member capable of collectively moving the detecting member individually disposed in the plurality of connectors to the detecting position.

A connector includes a substantially rectangular seal ring () with four corners formed by arcuate portions (). Ear-like protruding portions () are formed on the seal ring () to extend along the arcuate portions () on the four corners and project toward an outer periphery. The ear-like protruding portions () are configured to regulate rattling in a connecting direction of first and second housings () by being resiliently compressed between a back end surface (S) of a connection space () of the first housing () and a tip surface (S) of a receptacle () of the second housing () with the first and second housings () connected. Pressure receiving portions (A,B) project from surfaces of the ear-like protruding portions () facing the receptacle () and are divided in a circumferential direction by grooves ().

A lever-type connector has a female housing (F) with a tubular fitting () that includes a lever accommodating portion () for accommodating a lever () and an inner regulating wall () on a side opposite to the lever accommodating portion (). A male housing (M) has a receptacle () with an outer regulating wall () facing the inner regulating wall (), and has a supporting wall () facing the lever accommodating portion (). A cam follower () and a regulating protrusion () are formed on an outer surface of the supporting wall () and can contact the lever () by being inserted into an opening () of the lever accommodating portion (). Contact of the regulating protrusion () and the lever () regulates inclination of the housings (F, M) in the process of rotating the lever ().

A lever-type connector has tubular fitting () with an outer regulating wall () on a side opposite to a lever accommodating portion () across a terminal accommodating portion (). A receptacle () includes an inner regulating wall () arranged along the outer regulating wall () and a facing wall () arranged along the lever accommodating portion () and facing the inner regulating wall (). Regulating protrusions () are formed on an inner surface of the inner regulating wall (). Posture inclination between a female housing (F) and a male housing (M) is regulated by contact of a tip outer edge (E) of the inner regulating wall () and an inner surface of the outer regulating wall () and by the contact of a tip outer edge (E) of the terminal accommodating portion () and the regulating protrusions ().

Lever-type connector

It is aimed to provide a connector capable of ensuring the integrity of a lock arm and a detector in the process of deflecting the lock arm and enhancing a degree of freedom in designing the lock arm. A detector () movable in a front-back direction between a standby position and a detection position is assembled with a housing (). The detector () includes a contact portion () displaceable together with a front end part () of a lock arm () during the interference of the front end part () of the lock arm () and a mating lock () contacting the front part () of the lock arm () in a height direction intersecting with the front-back direction at the standby position. The contact portion () stands up in the height direction from a front end part of the locking arm and then projects forward.

Connector

A connector has a slider () with a base () extending along a width direction and to be inserted below a lock arm (). Two arms () project from opposite widthwise ends of the base (). A coupling () couples projecting end parts of the arms () and faces an upper surface side of the lock arm (). A deflectable initial position holding portion () is provided on the base () and is configured to regulate a movement of the slider () to a connection position by resiliently locking an initial position holding receiving portion () of a housing main body () at an initial position. A connection position holding portion () is provided on the coupling () and is configured to regulate a detachment of the slider () by contacting a connection position holding receiving portion () of the lock arm () at the connection position.

A lever () is supported on a first housing () for rotation between an initial position and a connection position. A resiliently deflectable holding arm () is formed on a main body () of the lever () and is configured to be locked to the first housing () for holding the lever () at the initial position so that the lever () does not rotate toward the connection position (connecting direction B). The holding arm () is formed with a regulating projection (). The main body () is formed with a stopper () configured to regulate a displacement in a hold releasing direction A of separating the holding arm () from the first housing () by locking the regulating projection () when the main body portion () is displaced in the connecting direction B with the holding arm () locked to the first housing ().

A substrate connection part () of each of a plurality of press-fit terminals () pulled out of a housing () is inserted into a positioning hole () of a terminal arrangement member () to adjust alignment of the press-fit terminals () with respect to through-holes () of a substrate (). The terminal arrangement member () is made of a thin resin sheet material. Each positioning hole () is sized so that the press-fit terminal () is placed in position by inserting a guide portion () of the press-fit terminal () therein. Slits () extend radially out from an opening edge of the positioning hole (). When a press-fit portion () passes through the positioning hole (), both slits () and the positioning hole () expand so that the press-fit portion () passes smoothly through the positioning hole ().
