A wire-equipped crimp terminal includes a wire, a crimp terminal and a coating agent. The wire has a conductor exposed from an insulative sheath. The crimp terminal has a crimping piece which is press-deformed to embrace the conductor. The coating agent is coated to a first part of the crimp terminal. A recess is formed at a non-coating part of the crimp terminal where the coating agent is not coated. The coating agent is cured by irradiating light or an electron beam to the first part in a state where a part of the coating agent flowing out from the first part is received in the recess.

A fiber conductor wire structure includes a fiber conductor and a terminal. The fiber conductor has a first portion with an outer insulating resin and a second portion with an outer conductive metal. The second portion defines a knot. The terminal has a hole for inserting the fiber conductor. The hole has a receiving portion configured to receive the knot in locked engagement and electrical connection with the terminal. A connecting method for the fiber conductor wire includes forming a knot with a portion of a fiber conductor having an outer conductive metal, inserting the fiber conductor into a hole of a terminal, and pulling the fiber conductor through the hole to engage the knot with a receiving portion of the terminal to place the knot in locked engagement and electrical connection with the terminal.

Connecting structure and connecting method of fiber conductor wire

A crimping apparatus includes an anvil for supporting a metal terminal including a base plate portion for mounting an electric wire thereon and a pair of crimping piece portions extending upwardly respectively from opposite side edges of the base plate portion and a crimper which includes a groove portion being opposed to a supporting portion of the anvil. An inner surface of the groove portion of the anvil and a terminal support face of the supporting portion of the crimper cooperate to press the crimping piece portions for crimping the crimping piece portions to the electric wire mounted on the metal terminal. A width of the groove portion of the crimper is not more than 1.0 mm. The terminal support surface of the anvil is formed into a concavely curved surface in which a depth of the concavely curved surface is not smaller than 0.06 mm and is not larger than 0.17 mm in a cross-section of the anvil perpendicular to an axis direction of the electric wire.

This invention provides with an electric wire press fitting method, in which an aluminum core wire of each of two aluminum wires are stranded to each other and inserted into a sleeve, and the aluminum core wire of each of the two aluminum wires are compressed and swaged along with the sleeve, wherein the sleeve includes a main body made of copper or a copper alloy; and the compression is performed on the aluminum core wire of each of the two aluminum wires at a compression ratio of 50 to 85% by the main body.

A crimping terminal includes a pair of core wire crimping pieces raised up from a bottom plate. A contact strip is provided with gaps formed between the core wire crimping pieces and the contact strip for inserting core wires of an aluminum electric wire. The contact strip has a sloped wall or a curved wall for guiding the core wires from the gaps toward the bottom plate. The contact strip is formed in a flat plate shape, and has sloped walls at both left and right sides thereof. A female terminal, includes: a tubular portion which is formed by bending a metal sheet into a tubular shape; a peripheral wall which has a trapezoidal cross section having a pair of opposed shorter and longer sides to form a space extending in an axial direction of the female terminal inside the tubular portion; and a spring portion for pressing a male terminal inserted in the space, in a direction toward the shorter side of the peripheral wall. A crimping apparatus includes an anvil for supporting a metal terminal including a base plate portion for mounting an electric wire thereon and a pair of crimping piece portions extending upwardly respectively from opposite side edges of the base plate portion, and a crimper which has a press-fastening portion for press-fastening the crimping piece portions. A height of the sheath crimping portion is measured in a direction intersecting with or parallel to the direction of gripping of the core wire crimping portion in a state that the core wire crimping portion is gripped in a direction perpendicular to an extending direction of the base plate portion.
