A high-pressure side discharge port of a two-stage compressor (A) and a condenser (A) are connected, condenser (A) and a PMV (A) are connected, a refrigerating side exit of PMV (A) is connected to a medium pressure side suction port of two-stage compressor (A) via an R capillary tube (A) and an F evaporator (A), connected to an F evaporator (A) via an F capillary tube (A), F evaporator (A) is connected to a low-pressure side suction port of two stage compressor (A) via a low-pressure suction pipe (A), PMV (A) can switch a simultaneous cooling mode and a freezing mode, and in the simultaneous cooling mode, a refrigerant flow rate toward R evaporator (A) is adjusted by PMV (A), and thereby a temperature difference control is performed so as to make a difference between an entrance temperature and an exit temperature of R evaporator (A) equal to a preset temperature difference (for example, 4&#xb0; C.).

The invention provides a refrigerator having a two-stage compression compressor capable of performing efficient cooling of a both a refrigerator compartment and a freezer compartment. A high-pressure delivery outlet of a two-stage compression compressoris connected to a condenser, the condenseris connected to a three-way valve, a first outlet of the three-way valveis connected via an R capillary tubeand an R evaporatorto an intermediate-pressure intake of the two-stage compression compressor, is connected and via an F capillary tubeto an F evaporator, the F evaporator is connected to a low-pressure intake of the two-stage compression compressorvia a low-pressure suction pipe, the three-way valvecan switch between a simultaneous cooling mode and a freezer mode, and when in the simultaneous cooling mode the interior temperature of the refrigerator compartmentfalls to a predetermined temperature it switches to the freezer mode.
