A disk system miniaturized by sharing moving spaces of a disk clamper portion and a disk operating portion. The disk system includes a disk clamper portion () for holding a disk (R), the disk clamper portion () being provided in such a manner as to be movable substantially in parallel to a disk carrying path () on which the disk (R) is carried in a range from one end to the other end of the disk carrying path (); and a disk operating portion () for rotating the disk (R), the disk operating portion () being provided in such a manner as to be movable substantially in parallel to the disk carrying path () in a range from one end to the other end of the disk carrying path ().

Disc system

A disk system capable of sharing portions at which disks are disposed, thereby miniaturizing the entire structure of the system. The disk system includes a plurality of stockers for containing disks in such a manner as to substantially align rotational axial lines of the disks to each other. The disk system also includes a stocker moving mechanism for moving the stockers to specific positions. The disk system also includes a disk driving mechanism for rotating the disks contained in the stockers. The disk system is arranged so that the stocker moving mechanism moves, on the basis of a command, at least one of a desired stocker and another stocker for providing a first gap between the desired stocker and another stocker, and also moves, on the basis of the command, at least one of the desired stocker and a stocker facing to a specific surface of the desired stocker for further enlarging only the gap provided between the desired stocker and the stocker facing to the specific surface of the desired stocker up to a second gap.

Disc device

The construction of a vibration damping device includes a splined or generally spiral groove formed either in the outer periphery of a damper pin, which is inserted into a damper, or in the inner periphery of a hole formed in the damper for inserting the damper pin therein.

Deck bases of conventional disk memory reproduction devices are fastened at four points by side lock pins protruding from the front and rear of the deck base and the side lock plates located opposite the side lock pins. This invention reduces the parts count and makes the deck base more compact by fixing the deck base at three points using side lock pins and side lock plates placed opposite them.

In conventional disk shaped recording reproduction devices, vibrations have been absorbed by the up and down motion of protruding rods which are supported in a viscous liquid such as a silicon oil. According to this invention, an inexpensive elastic body is used, which is heated by a heater so that, by maintaining the temperature of the elastic body within a certain range, the deterioration of the vibration absorbing characteristics of the elastic body with temperature changes is considerably reduced and the elastic body can be made more compact.
