Provided are a tube which has good transparency, flexibility, and solvent adhesion, and also has excellent clamp resistance, anti-conglutination property, and kink resistance, and a medical device using the tube. Specifically provided are a tube produced by forming a resin composition into a tube shape, which contains a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer (a) and a polypropylene-based resin (b) and does not contain a softening agent, in which: the elastomer (a) is a product prepared by hydrogenating a block copolymer including at least a polymer block (A) formed of an aromatic vinyl compound and a polymer block (B) formed of isoprene and/or 1,3-butadiene; the content of the polymer block (A) is 5 to 40 mass % before hydrogenation, the polymer block (B) has a hydrogenation ratio of 70% or more, and the polymer block (B) includes a 1,2-bond and a 3,4-bond at a content of 30 to 85 mol %; the mass ratio of the styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer (a) to the polypropylene-based resin (b) [(a)/(b)] is 90/10 to 40/60; and the tube has a ratio of a diffraction peak intensity [I(14)] at a scattering angle of 14&#xb0; to a diffraction peak intensity [I(15)] at a scattering angle of 15&#xb0; [I(14)/I(15)] of 1.4 or more in X-ray diffraction, and a medical device including the tube.

Tube and medical device using same

The present invention relates to a tube in the form of a molded article of a resin composition including a hydrogenated block copolymer (a) which includes a polymer block constituted mainly from an aromatic vinyl compound unit and a polymer block constituted mainly from a specific conjugated diene compound unit and has a glass transition temperature of from &#x2212;45 to 30&#xb0; C., a hydrogenated block copolymer (b) which includes a polymer block constituted mainly from an aromatic vinyl compound unit and a polymer block constituted mainly from a specific conjugated diene compound unit and has a glass transition temperature of less than &#x2212;45&#xb0; C., and a polyolefin-based resin (c), at a specific proportion, said tube being excellent in transparency, flexibility, anti-kinking property, anti-sticking property, clamp resistance, solvent adhesion property, low-temperature impact resistance and heat resistance, as well as a medical device using the tube.

Tube and medical device comprising the same

A lubricating oil additive containing at least one acrylic block copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000 to 1,000,000 and a molecular weight distribution [ratio of weight-average molecular weight (Mw) to number-average molecular weight (Mn), i.e., Mw/Mn ratio] of 1.5 or below; and lubricating oil compositions containing the additive. The lubricating oil additive exhibits a thickening effect higher than those of conventional acrylic lubricating oil additives and can improve the viscosity index of lubricating oil even when added in a small amount. Further, the additive can also improve the low-temperature characteristics, flow characteristics, and shear stability. The lubricating oil compositions enable energy saving and can lengthen the lifetime of lubricating oil and reduce the load on the global environment.
