A method for controlling a specimen analysis system including at least one measurement unit according to one or more embodiments is disclosed. The method may include automatically starting at least one measurement unit according to a schedule registered by a user; automatically supplying a quality control specimen to the measurement unit that is automatically started; and measuring the quality control specimen by the measurement unit.

A testing system according to one or more embodiments may include: a smear preparing apparatus that prepares a smear slide by smearing a sample on a glass slide; a smear transporting apparatus that transports the smear slide; a controller; and a display part. The controller may cause the display part to display a selection screen on which one or more of the smear preparing apparatus and the smear transporting apparatus can be selected. Based on a selection on the selection screen, the one or more of the smear preparing apparatus and the smear transporting apparatus selected on the selection screen may run respective start operations.

A specimen transporter transports a specimen plate to a specimen imaging apparatus. The specimen transporter comprises a plate container configured to contain the specimen plate therein, and a transport mechanism which transports the plate container to the specimen imaging apparatus with the specimen plate contained in the plate container.

A specimen transporter connected to a specimen imaging apparatus, the specimen transporter including a specimen receiving section that receives a specimen plate and a specimen storage section that stores an imaged specimen plate. Specimen transporting sections transport the specimen plate from the specimen receiving section to the specimen imaging apparatus and from the specimen imaging apparatus to the specimen storage section. A specimen transporter for transporting a specimen plate to a specimen imaging apparatus, where one side of the smearing pate is a smearing surface. The specimen transporter including a specimen transport section that transports the specimen plate to the specimen imaging apparatus. A posture changing section receives the specimen plate from the specimen imaging apparatus with the smearing surface facing upward, and changes the posture of the specimen plate so that one end side in a longitudinal direction of the received specimen plate is positioned above the other end side. A specimen inserting section inserts the specimen plate, having the changed posture, into a plate storage rack.
