To improve a distance measurement accuracy by combining a plurality of distance measuring methods while avoiding interference of projection light. A light source projection unit projects intensity-modulated spatial pattern light. A time-of-flight distance measurement camera measures a distance to an object on the basis of a time of flight of a modulated component included in reflected light of the spatial pattern light from the object. A spatial information distance measurement camera measures a distance to the object on the basis of spatial information included in the reflected light. A depth synthesizing unit synthesizes measurement results of the distances in the time-of-flight distance measurement camera and the spatial information distance measurement camera to determine a depth value of each pixel position of an image imaged by the time-of-flight distance measurement camera or the spatial information distance measurement camera.

The coordinate transformation processor executes coordinate transformation processing for collectively transforming coordinates of the image captured by the image pickup portion in such a way that effects on the image caused by camera shake of the image pickup portion, and by a distortion of an optical system used to obtain the image, are suppressed based on the motion of the image pickup portion detected by the motion detector, and based on a correction coefficient with which the distortion of the optical system is corrected. Technology used for the camera module may be applied to a CMOS image sensor.

The present technology relates to an image processing device and method, and program, whereby a high-quality loop moving image can be obtained more easily. Upon continuous shot images of multiple frames serving as material of a loop moving image being input, the continuous shot images are divided into multiple segments including motion segments including a moving subject and a still segment including a subject with no motion. An image of the motion segment region of the continuous shot images is formed into a loop moving image, and a segment loop moving image is generated. Also, an image of a still segment region of the continuous shot images is clipped out, and a segment image which is a still image is generated. Further, these segment loop moving image and segment image are integrated, to form one loop moving image. The present invention can be applied to an image processing device.

The present technology relates to a signal processing device, a signal processing method, a solid-state image sensor, an imaging device, an electronic device, and a program capable of generating an interpolated pixel such that occurrence of jaggies may be inhibited without blurring an image with a small calculation amount. Two candidate lines are set in each of a horizontal direction and a vertical direction in positional relationship symmetrical about a current pixel. The candidate lines are narrowed to two lines in the horizontal direction or in the vertical direction according to a pattern to which the current pixel belongs. Furthermore, searched pixels on the candidate line are narrowed according to the pattern. A weight value is calculated on the basis of similarity between a current block and a block in the same phase at the same distance from the block by block matching by a block to which the current pixel belongs. A pixel value of the interpolated pixel is generated by weighted addition of a pixel value on the candidate line and the weight value. The present technology may be applied to an imaging device.

An imaging apparatus which is an aspect of the present disclosure includes an image sensor unit for generating pixel data of a pixel constituting a frame by photoelectric conversion, a calculation unit for calculating an amount of camera shake in each of areas obtained by dividing the frame, and a control unit for controlling exposure time of the image sensor for each of the areas according to the amount of camera shake calculated for each of the areas. A signal processing unit obtains a binary image as additional information, the binary image being obtained by binarizing the in-image, for example, and adds the additional information to image data of the out-image. Additionally, the signal processing unit combines the binary image serving as the additional information with the out-image when the out-image is reproduced, and displays the resultant image. In such a manner, information obtained from the in-image is added to the out-image as additional information, and thus it is possible to more effectively display an image and improve convenience.

The present technique relates to an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program for obtaining a high-quality panoramic image when a 360-degree panoramic image is generated. A projected image generation unit generates projected images by mapping, on a cylindrical surface, captured images taken by a camera being rotated 360 degrees. A cumulative difference value calculation unit calculates a cumulative difference value in each position between the adjacent projected images. Based on the projected images and the cumulative difference values, a diagraph generation unit generates a diagraph reflecting the cumulative difference values in the energies of edges. Based on the diagraph, the path search unit searches for such projected image joining positions as to minimize defects when a panoramic image is generated by joining the respective projected images. A panoramic image generation unit joins the projected images based on a result of the search, and generates a panoramic image. The present technique can be applied to image processing devices.
