Coin receiving and dispensing machine

A coin wrapping machine having a pair of stacking drums rotatable in opposite directions, spiral coin support guides formed on the pair of stacking drums for supporting coins by their upper faces and stacking coins and a pair of wrapping rollers for wrapping the thus stacked coins, the coin wrapping machine being constituted so that the stacking drums are hollow and one of the wrapping rollers is disposed in each stacking drum in such a manner that a part thereof projects from an opening formed on a periphery of the stacking drum and that when coins are being wrapped, the coins can be held by the wrapping rollers and a driven roller disposed upstream of the pair of wrapping rollers with respect to the coin transportation direction. The thus constituted coin wrapping machine can be made considerably compact.

Coin wrapping machine

The invention provides an apparatus for separating one specified kind of coins from a plurality of coins including various kinds of coins. To this end, a coin sorting apparatus in accordance with the invention is characterized by a sort-out opening formed on a surface of a coin guideway downstream with respect to a coin identifying device; a rotor having an axis about which the rotor is rotatable, which rotor having a larger diameter portion having elevation equal to or slightly higher than the coin guideway and a smaller diameter portion having elevation lower than the coin guideway, the axis lying substantially beneath the center of the sort-out opening and under the coin guideway, the axis parallel to the coin guideway and normal to the coin feeding direction; and a controller for controlling the rotation of the rotor so that the larger diameter portion of the rotor aligns with the coin guideway when coins belonging to a first group are fed to the sort-out opening and the smaller diameter portion of the rotor forms a gap between the rotor and the coin guideway when coins belonging to a second group are fed to the sort-out opening.

Coin sorting apparatus

A coin wrapping machine which discriminates genuineness, denomination, etc. of coins, counts the monetary amount of the coins, sorts them out by denomination and wraps them in a desired order in separate denominations.

A coin sorting apparatus including a coin receiving section provided with a rotary disc for receiving various denominations of coins of various diameters, an excluding path including guide plate disposed at one side of the path and communicated with the rotary disc for engaging with a peripheral portion of the coin carried, guide member disposed at the other side of the excluding path and formed with a slant surface on which a larger diameter coin than the predetermined denomination of coin is engaged to climb up to be excluded from the excluding path and a lead wall for engaging with a coin other than the coin to be excluded from the excluding path and restricting portion disposed over the slant surface of the guide member and swingably mounted on the guide member for engaging the larger diameter coin introduced on the slant surface, a selecting path provided with selecting rail for excluding the smaller diameter coin smaller in diameter than the predetermined denomination of coins and pass them to a small coin container to select only the predetermined denomination of coin.

The present invention relates to a coin handling apparatus for coin receiving and coin wrapping operations. A coin receiving apparatus of the present invention is provided with a safe means in which coins received in the apparatus are stored after the total value of the coins has been calculated. The apparatus is also provided with a transfer means for taking out the coins stored in the safe means. In another aspect of the present invention, a coin receiving and wrapping apparatus is provided having both coin receiving and wrapping operations functions.

A coin receiving and wrapping machine comprising upper hopper for receiving coins, discriminating sensor for discriminating denominations of coins to introduce a predetermined denomination of coins to be wrapped to one direction and coins other than the predetermined coins to another direction, accumulating section for receiving said predetermined denomination of coins to accumulate them, wrapping section provided downward of said accumulating section for wrapping said predetermined denomination of coins in the form of a coin stack, holding section removably mounted on said machine for temporarily holding the coins from the discriminating section other than said predetermined denomination of coins, selecting box removably mounted on said machine and positioned downward of said holding means for receiving the coins from the holding section and for discharging the coins from the holding means, lower hopper located at the lower portion of the machine for receiving said coins from the selecting box and coins from the outside of the machine. The selecting box is provided with inlet means adapted to be communicated with the holding section when the selecting means is mounted on the machine and provided with outlet means which can be opened by applying a key from the outside of the machine.

Coin receiving and wrapping machine

A coin handling apparatus comprising a coin introducing section for introducing various kinds of coins of various diameters into the apparatus, a discriminating section for discriminating the coins introduced into the apparatus and counting the number of the respective kinds of the coins, a large coin separating section for separating coins larger in diameter than a predetermined kind of coins among the discriminated coins and introducing the larger coins to a large coin container, a selecting section for excluding coins smaller in diameter than the coins of the predetermined kind of coins to pass to a small coin container whereby only the predetermined kind of coins remain, an accumulating section for accumulating one by one the predetermined kind of coins selected in the selecting section, and a wrapping section for wrapping a predetermined number of the accumulated coins. The apparatus removes both the larger and smaller coins than the predetermined kind of coins so that the coins introduced into the apparatus can be handled to be wrapped in any order of diameter.

The automatic coin depositing and paying machine has a function of depositing coins and another function of paying out a portion of the deposited coins. The deposited coins are discriminated by one discriminator into acceptable ones and unacceptable ones. The accepted coins are stored in coin storing tubes in accordance with their kinds which are discriminated by another discriminator. Some of coins stored in coin storing tubes are used as paying money. The unaccepted coins are returned to the customer through the exit. The recovery hole is provided to be opened and closed by a recovery cover for providing communication between the safe and the exit.

Automatic coin depositing and paying machine

An automatic coin depositing and paying machine having the function of receiving coins for deposit and paying out deposited coins. The coins are received in the machine through an inlet opening and are discriminated by a discriminator into acceptable coins and unacceptable coins. The acceptable coins are respectively stored in coin storing tubes in accordance with the denomination of coins discriminated by another discriminator. The coins stored in the coin storing tubes are used as pay-out coins. The paid out coins are conveyed by a lift belt to an exit which is located adjacent to the inlet opening. The unacceptable coins are also conveyed to the exit by the lift belt.

There is provided a stacking cylinder for use in a coin handling machine. The stacking cylinder is provided at the top portion thereof with a guide member for guiding coins in a certain direction so as to prevent coins from interfering with each other and thereby to correctly stack coins in the stacking cylinder. The stacking cylinder is assembled by inserting a resilient metal sheet into a cylindrical recess formed inside of the cylinder body without adhesive.

In a coin processing machine, a coin passage defined by a fixed guide and a movable guide is provided to supply the coins to be packaged to an accumulating cylinder. The width of the coin passage is varied in accordance with the diameters of the coins to be packaged by moving the movable guide and the accumulating cylinder is replaced by one adapted for the coins to be packaged. A guiding chute is provided for guiding the coins from the coin passage toward the center of the selected accumulating cylinder. An abutting plate may be provided within the chute guide for preventing the coins from striking the inner surface of the guiding chute.

A coin packaging machine in which different kinds of coins are packaged. The coin packaging machine is provided with means for supplying coins, means for transporting the supplied coins while selecting a kind of coins out during transportation, means for accumulating transported coins, delivery means for receiving accumulated coins and delivering the coins from receiving position to packaging position, means for supplying a web of paper within packaging zone and means for clamping the packaged coins. The coin packaging machine further includes means for making adjustments of various kinds of the above means in accordance with the thickness and the width of the coins to be packaged. The coin packaging machine is also provided with a quantity of packaging paper feed setting device in which the quantity of packaging paper feed is automatically determined in accordance with the diameter of the coins to be packaged.

A coin packaging machine for packaging different kinds of coins is provided with means for supplying coins, means for transporting the supplied coins while selecting a kind of coins out during transportation, means for accumulating transported coins, delivery means for receiving accumulated coins and delivering the coins from receiving position to packaging position, means for supplying a web of paper within packaging zone and means for clamping the packaged coins. The coin packaging machine further includes means for making various adjustments of the above mentioned means in accordance with the thickness and the width of the coins to be packaged. The coin packaging machine is also provided with a packaging paper near end detecting device. The detecting device is constructed so that when no packaging paper is present, an alarm is issued and the machine is stopped after the completion of the packaging operation.
