A sun visor apparatus for vehicle including a wiper apparatus that wipes a wipe area defined on an outer surface of a windshield. A light receiving sensor is arranged in the vehicle compartment facing toward the wipe area. When the windshield is stained by mud or bird feces, this does not interfere with the incident light received by the light receiving sensor as long as the wiper apparatus wipes the outer surface of the windshield. Accordingly, the light receiving sensor outputs an incident light detection signal that accurately corresponds to the incident light. A light shield body is properly extended and retracted in accordance with the incident light detection signal.

Vehicle sun visor apparatus

A pair of drive gears rotated by a drive motor is meshed with meshing surfaces of a pair of slide guides of a light shield body. A plurality of rotation rollers rotate on roll surfaces of the slide guides and hold the pair of slide guides in a thicknesswise direction of the light shield body. The drive gears have contact portions that come into contact with side surfaces of the slide guides that are arranged to face each other or face opposite directions. Accordingly, a vehicle sun visor apparatus may be reduced in size.

A wiper blade of a wiper device for wiping a windshield of a vehicle includes a primary lever to be connected to a wiper arm, a pair of secondary levers connected to the primary lever, a pair of yoke levers connected to the pair of secondary lever, and a rubber blade supported by the pair of yoke levers. The first lever has a holder member disposed above the central portion of the rubber blade and a first spoiler extending in longitudinally opposite directions from the holder member along a side of the rubber blade. Each of the secondary lever is disposed above the rubber blade and is connected to one of outer end of the first spoiler, and has a second spoiler extending in a longitudinal direction from the outer edge of the first spoiler on the same side of the rubber blade as the first spoiler. Each of the yoke lever is connected to the outer end of one of the second spoilers.

Wiper blade

A wiper blade rubber for a windshield wiper has a holding portion held by a plurality of supporting members, a wiping portion for wiping the surface of a windshield and a connecting portion connecting the holding portion and the wiping portion. The connecting portion is narrowed in a middle part thereof providing a neck portion, and has an inside hollow. The hollow extends vertically in the neck portion and horizontally above the neck portion, with respect to the windshield, thereby having a T-shaped cross-section in the connecting portion. Preferably, the hollow extends into the wiping portion. Therefore, when the wiper blade rubber turns over the inclining direction of the wiping portion, the wiper blade rubber can suppress changes in the height of the wiper blade rubber by deforming the hollow, while keeping an appropriate inclining angle of the wiping portion.

A wiper with rise-up mechanism includes a crank and a rod that is rotatably connected to the crank through a shift mechanism. The crank supports an eccentric rotor. The rod is coupled to the eccentric rotor to rotate about the axis of the eccentric rotor. A key is supported in the eccentric rotor to move axially. The key can be moved by the rotation of the crank. When the crank rotates in a normal direction, the key locks the eccentric rotor to the rod. When the crank rotates in the reverse direction, the key fixes the eccentric rotor to the crank. Only one key is used, which reduces the number of parts and simplifies the operation of the key.

Wiper apparatus with rise-up mechanism

A wiper blade of a wiper device is composed of a primary lever driven by an wiper arm to swing on a windshield, a pair of bowed secondary levers connected to the primary lever to extend on a side of the primary lever facing a direction of the swinging and a pair of bowed yoke levers connected to the primary lever to extend on the side of the primary lever opposite to the secondary levers and a rubber blade supported by the yoke levers. Thus, the primary lever, the secondary levers and the yoke levers are disposed in the same plane above the windshield, thereby reducing the frontal projected area relative to air flow. Each of the secondary levers is connected jointly with one of the yoke levers to rotate on a shaft fixed to the primary lever.

Wiper device includes an arm system composed of an arm head, arm retainer and an arm piece that are connected together. The arm system has a movable portion which is capable of moving a wiping direction. A rubber vibration damper is disposed at the movable portion which is formed, for example, between the arm retainer and the arm piece of the arm system. When the wiper device is operating, an exciting force produced between the surface of a windshield and a wiper blade is transmitted to the arm piece and tends to oscillate the arm piece in the wiping direction about the movable portion. In this instance, the rubber vibration damper elastically deforms and dampens the vibrational force applied to the movable portion.

A retractable type wiper apparatus including a first crank connected to an output shaft of a reducer of a wiper motor and a second crank rotatably secured to the first crank by use of a first pivot shaft and so arranged that the second crank is maintained in a bent orientation at a predetermined angle relative to the first crank during the rotation of the first crank in the forward direction. The second crank is extended substantially straight relative to the first crank during the rotation of the first crank in the reverse directions. A stop member is provided on the first crank for defining a first locking recess and a second locking recess. A detent is longitudinally slidably mounted on the second crank. A spring means urges the detent selectively into the first and second locking recesses to thereby lock the second crank in place when the second crank is positioned at the predetermined angled position and at the straight extended position, respectively, relative to the first crank. The link member is rotatably connected to the second crank by a second pivot shaft for transmitting the motion of the second crank to a wiper blade. A cam member is rotatably mounted over the second pivot shaft and adapted to press and lock the detent as it is urged into either the first or second recess.
