The present invention provides a resin composition which comprises: (A) a saponifed ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer; (B) a rubber-like graft polymer; and (C) a polyalkylene ether unit-containing polymer. The inventive resin composition, which employs the saponfied ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer, is excellent in impact resistance.

Resin composition and multilayer structural body employing the same

The present invention provides a resin composition that is added when a multi-layer structure containing hydrolyzed ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is reground into a multi-layer structure and a process for preparing a multi-layer structure using the resin composition. Specifically, the present invention relates to a resin composition comprising (A) polyolefin, (B) metal salt of higher fatty acid having 12 to 30 carbon atoms and (C) zeolite. Also, the multi-layer structure is prepared by the process of regrinding by adding the resin composition to a multi-layer structure containing hydrolyzed ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.

Resin composition and process for preparing multi-layer structure using the same

The present invention provides a resin composition containing a polyolefin resin (A), a metal soap (B), a saponified product (C), and a hydrotalcite compound and/or a hydrotalcite solid solution (D). The resin composition shows superior long-run formability (surface smoothness, suppression of fish eye, pigment dispersibility), suppressive effect on die build-up and superior transparency and gas barrier property when added to a regrind layer during formation of a laminate having the regrind layer. Therefore, the composition is highly useful as an additive for collected materials (regrind) for forming various laminates.

A saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is characterized in that, in the relationship between the heating time and the extrusion rate as measured with a Koka flow tester at at least one temperature higher by 10-80&deg; C. than the melting point thereof, it shows an extrusion rate at any time within the period of 15 minutes to 2 hours of heating which is 0.1-50 times the extrusion rate at 15 minutes of heating and an extrusion rate at any time within the period of 2-10 hours of heating which is less than 2 times the extrusion rate at 15 minutes of heating and that, in the relationship between the heating time and the torque at at least one temperature higher by 30-60&deg; C. than the melting point, it shows, at any time within the range of 1-2 hours of heating, a toruque value within the range of &frac16; to &frac56; of the maximum torque value found within the initial 20 minutes of heating.
