An intermediate transfer member for use in an image forming apparatus in which a toner image is formed on a photoreceptor, firstly transferred from the photoreceptor to the intermediate transfer member, and further secondly transferred from the intermediate transfer member to a recording medium, the intermediate transfer member, includes an intermediate transfer belt containing a volatile substance in a range of from 10 to 10,000 ppm as an average concentration of an entire intermediate transfer belt thereof.

An image forming method comprising steps of forming a toner image by developing by a toner a latent image on a photoreceptor comprised of a layer formed on a substrate, transferring the toner image onto a recording medium on which the toner image is recorded and fixing, wherein the average circular degree of the toner is not less than 0.94, and the toner contains a wax comprising an ester of a carboxylic acid having carbon atoms of not less than 16 or an ester of an alcohol having carbon atoms of not less than 16, and the layer is a layer to be contacted to the toner in the developing step and contains an inorganic fine particles having a number average of primary particle diameter of approximately not less than 1 nm and less than 100 nm.

A photoconductor for electrophotography, includes a conductive substrate; a photosensitive layer containing charge generation material formed on the conductive substrate. The charge generation material contains a substituted or unsubstituted gallium phthalocyanine dimer (GaPhC dimmer) and a substituted or unsubstituted hydroxy gallium phthalocyanine (GaPhC monomer) and has distinctive diffraction peaks at the Bragg angles (2&#x3b8;&#xb1;0.2) of 7.5&#xb0; and 28.3&#xb0; in a Cu-K&#x3b1; characteristic X-ray diffraction spectrum.

Photoconductor for electrophotography

An image forming method includes: forming an electrostatic latent image after charging an organic photoconductor; and developing the electrostatic latent image into a toner image by bringing a developer containing toner and a carrier having a weight average particle size (D4) of 20 to 50 &#x3bc;m into contact with the organic photoconductor comprising a photosensitive layer and a protective layer which is provided when needed, a total thickness of the photosensitive layer and the protective layer being 5 to 15 &#x3bc;m.

An image forming apparatus comprising an electrophotographic photoreceptor to form a toner image by developing an electrostatic latent image with a developer containing a toner and a developing device, in which the photoreceptor contains a charge transport compound having a triphenylamine structure and the developing device supplies a toner having a total content of aromatic volatile compounds of 5 to 30 ppm; an image forming method employing the foregoing electrophotographic photoreceptor and developing device.

Disclosed is an electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a substrate and provided thereon, a photosensitive layer comprising a charge generation material, a triarylamine charge transport material, and a compound represented by Formula 1: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a secondary or tertiary alkyl group; R.sub.2 represents a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group or an alkoxyl group; n represents an integer of 0 to 3, and Ar represents an aryl group.

An electrophotographic photoreceptor is disclosed. The photoreceptor comprises a conductive support and a photosensitive layer provided thereon. Electrophotographic photoreceptor having an organic

The invention provides a method of forming an image on a photoreceptor indicating a maximum value of the differential coefficient to the exposure in the light decay curve thereof. The method comprises charging the surface of the photoreceptor; exposing uniformly the surface of the photoreceptor at the same time or substantially at the same time with the step of the charging; forming a latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor by a dot-wise image exposure; and developing the latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor.
