A distance measurement device for measuring a distance to an object that exists in a distance measurement region includes: a light source configured to emit laser light; a lens configured to converge the laser light emitted from the light source, into substantially parallel light; a tubular light blocking member disposed on an optical path of the laser light emitted from the light source and surrounding the optical path; a photodetector configured to detect reflected light, of the laser light, reflected at the distance measurement region; and a condensing lens configured to condense the reflected light passing through the outside of the light blocking member, onto the photodetector.

Distance measurement device

A light source device includes a mounted substrate which is a multi-layered substrate, a semiconductor light-emitting device which emits a laser beam, a wavelength-converting member which radiates fluorescence by being irradiated with the laser beam emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting device as an excitation light, a state detection circuit, an electric field effect type transistor which adjusts an electric current amount applied to the semiconductor light-emitting device upon receipt of an output from the state detection circuit, and an external connecting member, and the semiconductor light-emitting device, the state detection circuit, the transistor, and the external connecting member are mounted on the single mounted substrate.

Light source device

A light source device includes: a holder that has a first surface and a second surface located higher than the first surface, and is an integral structure; a semiconductor light-emitting device on the first surface; an optical element unit that is disposed above the semiconductor light-emitting device, and has a reflective surface that inclines with respect to the first surface and reflects emitted light from the semiconductor light-emitting device; and a phosphor optical element that is disposed on the second surface and irradiated with reflected light from the optical element unit.

Light source device and projection device

A light source device includes: a semiconductor light-emitting device including a flat-shaped base having a first main surface on a first side and a second main surface and a semiconductor light-emitting element disposed on the first side; a first fixing component having a first through-hole and a first pressing surface that presses the first main surface; and a second fixing component having a second through-hole and a second pressing surface that presses the second main surface. The base is fixed between the first and second pressing surfaces by an engagement between a first inner surface surrounding the first through-hole of the first fixing component and a second outer surface of the second fixing component. A distance between the first and second pressing surfaces is smaller than or equal to a thickness of the base, and a void is formed lateral to the base between the first and second pressing surfaces.

There is disclosed an optical pickup apparatus in which an optical axis of an objective lens can be kept perpendicular to a recording surface of an optical disk regardless of a warp or a curvature of the optical disk. In this optical pickup apparatus, a lens holder can be moved in a focusing direction and a tracking direction. In order that the objective lens can be tilted in accordance with a skew of the optical disk in a radial direction, second magnets are mounted on the lens holder whereas second coils are mounted in opposed relation to the second magnets, respectively. The second magnets and the second coils cooperate with each other to tilt the objective lens.

Optical pickup apparatus of tilt control type

An optical pickup apparatus suited for reducing the size and thickness and capable of performing a tilt control of an objective lens with ease, and an optical disk apparatus. The optical pickup apparatus comprises: an objective lens for focusing a beam emitted from a light source onto an optical disk; a lens holding cylinder for holding the objective lens; wires and elastic tilt members for elastically supporting the lens holding cylinder so that it can be moved; and a yoke base for fixedly supporting the wires and for fixedly supporting magnets, the magnets being adapted to movably drive the lens holding cylinder; wherein the lens holding cylinder has a circular space portion and an almost rectangular opening portion in which the magnets are inserted, the circular space portion being adapted to hold the objective lens and guide the beam emitted from the light source to the objective lens; wherein the wires have one end thereof secured to a suspension holder and the elastic tilt members have one end thereof secured to a nearly central part, with respect to a tangential direction, of the almost rectangular opening portion of the lens holding means; wherein the lens holding cylinder is supported so that it can be pivoted in the tangential direction about the elastic tilt member as a rotating center.

A disk holding device of a thin design is provided which can positively hold disks of different thicknesses, and also can automatically align the disk. The disk holding device includes a plurality of claw-like members, a center hub receiving the claw-like members therein, resilient members which are received in the center hub, and respectively urge the claw-like members in a radial direction of a disk, a turntable for supporting the disk thereon, a cone ring which is provided at a lower side of the center hub, and is movable along an axis of a spindle shaft and an urging member urging the cone ring in a disk-unloading direction away from an upper surface of the turntable. The cone ring has a slanting portion for engagement with a center hole portion of the disk, and each claw-like member is received in the center hub in such a manner that the claw-like member is slidable in the radial direction of the disk, and is angularly movable in the disk-unloading direction. With this construction, a force, required for loading and unloading the disk, is small, and therefore the deformation and strain of the disk can be kept to a minimum. And, the disk holding mechanism and the disk alignment mechanism can be combined into an integral construction, thereby achieving a thin design of the disk holding device.
