To improve efficiency when manufacturing a light emitting device formed using a mask to form regions corresponding to pixels on a substrate, provided is a method including, after forming a pattern on a substrate with a first light emitting material that emits light of a first spectrum, through a first opening and one or more second openings of a mask, moving the mask in a longitudinal direction of the first opening by a distance that is less than the width of the first opening in the longitudinal direction of the first opening and greater than or equal to the width of the one or more second openings in the longitudinal direction of the first opening, and then forming a pattern with a second light emitting material that emits light of a second spectrum, through the first opening and the one or more second openings of the mask.

Provided is an organic EL device which can prevent invasion of moisture to an organic EL element. The organic EL device has an organic EL element in which a first electrode layer, a functional layer, and a second electrode layer are stacked in sequence on a transparent substrate having a planar expanse, and an inorganic sealing layer for sealing at least an emission area of the organic EL element. A soft adhesion layer is stacked directly onto the inorganic sealing layer with a planar expanse, and the soft adhesion layer is made of a resin, and has flexibility.

Provided is an organic EL light emitting element that prevents variations in brightness caused by resistance in a transparent electrode layer without a separate auxiliary electrode being provided. This organic EL light emitting element has a transparent conductive layer, organic light emitting unit layer, and metal layer in that order on a transparent substrate. The metal layer is divided into negative electrode regions and auxiliary electrode regions that are electrically separated by a metal layer dividing channel. In the auxiliary electrode regions, the metal layer and transparent electrode layer are electrically connected via first type connecting channels, which are opening parts in the organic light emitting unit layer. The dividing channels and connecting channels are preferably formed by laser beam irradiation.

Organic EL light emitting element and method for manufacturing same

An organic EL device that efficiently extracts light includes an organic EL element formed by laminating a first electrode layer, functional layer, and second electrode layer on a substrate and a sealing member sealing the organic EL element. The organic EL device has a first electrode communicating part electrically connected to the first electrode layer at one side of the substrate and a second electrode communicating part electrically connected to the second electrode layer at the other side of the substrate. The organic EL device has first cross grooves crossing the organic EL element from the second electrode layer located at the one side to the second electrode layer that is located at the other side. The first cross groove is formed by removing the first electrode layer, functional layer, and second electrode layer. The sealing member and the substrate are connected outside of the first cross grooves.

The present invention aims at providing an organic EL device that emits light by an alternating current, has a simple structure and provides little increase of production processes, while downsizing an overall configuration and a simplifying a method for producing said organic EL device. The organic EL device includes a power feeding part and an organic-EL-element forming part. The organic-EL-element forming part includes a plurality of unit EL elements formed on a substrate. There is provided a plurality of series-connected parts each formed by a plurality of the unit EL elements that are electrically connected in series in a forward direction. A plurality of the series-connected parts are electrically connected to the power feeding part in parallel. The series-connected parts that are connected in parallel include a series-connected part that is connected to the power feeding part so as to have a reverse polarity.

In a device according to the present invention, a first conductive electrode layer being patterned and light transmissive is formed on a light-transmissive substrate and a laminated layer containing a plurality of organic-compound layers is formed so as to cover at least a part of the first electrode layer. The laminated layer is partly removed so that the first electrode layer is partly exposed. At least one layer containing a second conductive electrode layer is formed on the laminated layer and the exposed part of the first electrode layer. A part of the laminated layer and a part of the second electrode layer are simultaneously removed by application of a laser beam from a side of the substrate, so that a plurality of light-emitting sections are electrically connected in series on the substrate.

An ionic liquid formed of a cationic component and an anionic component characterized in that the cationic component contains fluorine atoms. When defects of an oxide film formed on the surface of a metal are anodized by a two-electrode system under existence of the ionic liquid, a current-voltage curve being obtained by applying a forward voltage from 0 V at a constant voltage rate of 1 V/s has an initial peak voltage and gives a withstand voltage of 50 V or above. This ionic liquid does not evaporate easily, exhibits hydrophobicity and low hygroscopicity, and has excellent metal oxide film-repairing ability.

A solid electrolytic capacitor having an electrolytic layer containing at least two types of ionic liquids and a conductive polymer is provided. Preferably, the ionic liquids include at least one type of ionic liquid for supplying an excellent impedance characteristic and at least one type of ionic liquid for supplying an excellent withstand voltage characteristic. Thus, a solid electrolytic capacitor exhibiting a high withstand voltage and an excellent impedance characteristic can be obtained.

The present invention provides means for forming an oxide film on a metal surface, means for repairing a defect of an oxide film, a high-performance electrolytic capacitor using the means, and an electrolyte of the capacitor. Namely, the prevent invention provides a method for easily forming an oxide film on the surface of a metal or an alloy thereof by anodization using a solution containing an ionic liquid. A method is provided for producing a thin-film photovoltaic device which has a rear electrode including a transparent conductive rear layer and a light-reflective metallic layer. In forming the light-reflective metallic layer, a first plasma region including fine particles of zinc oxide and a second plasma region including fine particles of silver are formed in a chamber at a sputtering gas pressure of about 0.1 to about 0.27 Pa. This invention provides a method of fabricating a thin-film photovoltaic module having a structure in which a plurality of thin films are stacked.
