Disclosed is a thermal transfer image-receiving material comprising a support which has thereon an image-receiving layerr for receiving a dye transferred by heat application from a application from a thermal transfer dye-donating material and for forming an image. The image receiving layer comprises a fluorine-containing high-molecular weight compound, a fluorine-containing surfactant, and a matting agent. Such a transfer material produces a printed color image which has excellent clarity and resolution.

A silver halide color photographic material having improved granularity and sharpness is disclosed which comprises at least one coupler represented by formula (Ia), (Ib), or (Ic). ##STR1## wherein A represents a coupler residue which can split away from the coupler by A--X bond cleavage upon reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent; X represents an oxygen atom, or a sulfur atom; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group; Y represents a substituent group; and n represents 0, 1, or 2, and when n is 2, the two Y's represent the same or different substituent groups, or two of substituents R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and Y represent divalent groups that combine with each other to form a ring structure.

Silver halide color photographic material

A silver halide color photographic material is described, comprising a support having thereon at least a light-sensitive silver halide and a coupler represented by the general formula: A-RED-P, wherein A is a coupler residue capable of cleaving RED-P on reacting with an oxidized color developing agent, P is a group capable of releasing RED after cleavage of RED-P from A, and RED is a group capable of undergoing an oxidation reduction reaction with the oxidized color developing agent only after the cleavage of A and P. This material is greatly improved in sharpness and graininess.

A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, the color photographic light-sensitive material containing a coupler which releases a compound after the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a developing agent, the released compound being capable of releasing further a photographically useful group by an oxidation-reduction reaction with the oxidation product of another developing agent. The compound used in the present invention is chemically stable and can release a photographically useful group under control; therefore the silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material containing the compound has good stability during storage and high sensitivity and provides a color image having good image qualities such as sharpness, graininess, color reproducibility, etc.

A recording material comprising (1) at least one thiazine compound capable of forming a color when contacted with an electron accepting material and represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein A.sub.1 and A.sub.2, which may be the same or different, each represents an aryl group or a hetero ring residue or, when taken together, A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 represent a hetero ring or a fluorene ring; ring B represents an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or a hetero ring; and Y represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group, a hetero ring residue, an amino group, an amido group, a hydroxy group or a thio group; provided that at least one of A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 or, when A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 are taken together, the ring formed by A.sub.1 and A.sub.2, is an electron donating aryl group, an electron donating hetero ring residue or an electron donating fluorene ring residue; and (2) an electron accepting material.
