A driving unit includes a rotor, a plurality of vibratory members, and a driving circuit. The vibratory members each include an action part in contact with the outer periphery of the rotor and a motional part including an expansion-and-contraction driver to expand and contract in response to an applied voltage. The motional part allows the action part to slide along the rotational direction of the rotor. The driving circuit applies voltages to the expansion-and-contraction drivers. The vibratory members are disposed in such a way that the action parts of the vibratory members hold the rotor between the action parts.

A sensitivity adjustment device adjusts radio wave sensitivity of an antenna which wirelessly transmits/receives a signal to/from an external device. The sensitivity adjustment device includes: a sensitivity adjuster and an adjuster moving section. The sensitivity adjuster includes (a) a shielding part which shields a radio wave and (b) a penetration part which allows penetration of a radio wave. The adjuster moving section moves the sensitivity adjuster with respect to the antenna in such a way as (a) to change a position of the shielding part and a position of the penetration part with respect to the antenna, and (b) to adjust a covered area of the antenna covered with the sensitivity adjuster, so as to adjust the radio wave sensitivity of the antenna.

A solar power generating device of the present invention includes a first solar section which has a plurality of solar cells arranged flatwise, a second solar section which has a plurality of solar cells arranged flatwise and is placed a predetermined space away and below the first solar section so as to be shifted with respect to the first solar section in a surface direction, and a coupling section which couples the first solar section and the second solar section together. In the solar power generating device, the coupling section has a connecting section placed in an area below the second solar section, and the connecting section is provided with contact terminals to which the first solar section and the second solar section are electrically connected.

A hand illuminating apparatus is described. According to one implementation of the present invention, the hand illuminating apparatus includes a hand which is driven to rotate by a hand spindle. A light source is provided in a position below the hand spindle. A first optical guiding section is provided to guide light from the light source from a lower edge to an upper edge of the hand spindle. A second optical guiding section, in which a plurality of optical waveguides are formed on the hand, is provided to guide light which exits from the first optical guiding section from a base to a tip of the hand.
