A communication system includes a host control device and a vicarious inputting and outputting unit that controls an electric device by communicating with the host control device. The vicarious inputting and outputting unit includes a standard board provided with a first control circuit which controls the electric device and at least one of an input circuit and an output circuit for a standard electric device. The first control circuit has an extension terminal for connection to an extension board provided with at least one of an input circuit and an output circuit for an extended electric device and is provided so as to be able to operate in response to respective specifications of plural kinds of extension terminals, and a specification of the extension terminal is set through communication with the host control device.

Communication system and vicarious inputting and outputting unit

In a vehicular power supply system according to an embodiment, passage current of a power MOSFET of an IPD of a sub power distribution box monitored by a sub controller of the sub power distribution box is transmitted from the sub controller to a main controller of a main power distribution box. When energy storage amount of a load-based path calculated by integrating the passage current received by the main controller exceeds a predetermined value which is a overcurrent state, the main controller determines that the load-based path is in the overcurrent, and notifies the fact from the main controller to the sub controller. The sub controller switches the power MOSFET of the IPD of the load-based path set to the overcurrent by the notification to a non-conduction state to interrupt the energization of the load-based path.

Vehicular power supply system with semiconductor switching device

Provided is a switch box comprising: a first circuit board; a pair of bus bars provided to the first circuit board; and a first switch portion that is provided to the first circuit board and that opens and closes a circuit between the bus bars. A second circuit board can be attached to and detached from the first circuit board, and the second circuit board comprises: one bus bar; and a second switch portion that opens and closes a circuit between the one bus bar and the bus bar of the first circuit board.

Switch box

A first connector includes a first core member, and a first positioning-purpose fitting portion for the second connector. A second connector includes a second core member, in which an induction electromotive force is produced by the first core member, and a second positioning-purpose fitting portion for fitting in the first fitting portion. The first fitting portions, as well as the second fitting portions, may be arranged at opposite sides of the first core member in such a manner that the first core member are interposed between the first fitting portions. A shock-absorbing elastic member, which can be elastically deformed upon contact, may be provided at the first fitting portion ( ) and/or the second fitting portion ( ).

Electromagnetic induction-type connector

When an ignitor is ignited by an abnormal signal sent from outside, a heating agent charged into a thermite case is heated, a retainer is melted by the heat, a compression spring is expanded to allow the thermite case to move up. Therefore, electrical connection between the thermite case and each of a first bus bar and a second bus bar is interrupted. Thus, it is possible to reliably interrupt a circuit within a short time. Further, a low-melting metal mounted to an intermediate portion of the second bus bar is blown out by heat caused by a current flowing through the second bus bar to interrupt the circuit. Therefore, even if an abnormal signal is not sent to the ignitor due to failure of a control circuit or the like, it is possible to reliably interrupt the circuit.

Circuit breaker

A circuit breaker includes: a heating portion charged with heating agent and having a conductivity which is arranged between a first connecting terminal connected to a power source side and a second connecting terminal connected to a load side; an ignition portion for causing the heating agent charged in the heating portion to generate heat by igniting an ignition agent; an expandable/contractable elastic member arranged near the heating portion or in contact with the heating portion and pressing the heating portion; an outer container receiving the elastic member, the ignition portion and the heating portion; a pressing operation restricting member preventing the elastic member from being pressed to the heating portion which is melted due to heat of the heating agent; and a heat conduction member bringing any one of the first connecting terminal and the second connecting terminal into contact with the ignition portion.

A current sensor detects a current flowing through a first buss bar . When a current value detected by the current sensor became equal to or greater than a threshold current value, a CPU outputs a driving control signal to a driving circuit and the driving circuit operates an, ignitor through a second substrate and a terminal Therefore, the ignitor ignites, a second projection is melted by heat of a heating agent a compression spring is expanded and a thermite case jumps up. Thus, electrical connection between the thermite case and the first and second buss bars is interrupted. Further, since an outer container in which the current sensor the CPU and the driving circuit are accommodated is integrally assembled with the cap and the resin case in which the thermite case the ignitor the compression spring and the second projection are accommodated, non-operational state of the ignitor due to disconnection of electric wire is not generated.

A connecting terminal and a circuit breaking device having the connecting terminal are provided. A plate-shaped second bus-bar,welded to a conductive thermit casing,through a low melting point metal,. The bus-bar,has an orifice,formed to fix a wire with a terminal body by thread fastening and a thin part,formed between the orifice,and the metal,to have a plate thickness smaller than that of the other portion of the bus-bar,. The thin part,is provided with wedge-shaped notches,. When fastening a screw inserted into the orifice,in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction, a stress resulting from the rotation is absorbed by the thin plate,and the notches,in pairs. Consequently, owing to the absorption, it is possible to restrict the stress from being transmitted to the welding part of the low melting point metal
