A tape cartridge includes a platen roller, a winding up core, and a cartridge casing that accommodates a printing tape, an ink ribbon, the platen roller, and the winding up core. The cartridge casing includes an insertion hole in which a head cover on a cartridge installation portion of a tape printing apparatus is inserted when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion. The insertion hole includes a first concave portion and a second concave portion that face a first convex portion and a second convex portion, respectively, on the head cover when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion, and the first concave portion and the second concave portion are formed on an inner wall of the insertion hole.

Tape cartridge

A tape cartridge includes a platen roller, a winding up core, and a cartridge casing that accommodates a printing tape, an ink ribbon, the platen roller, and the winding up core. The cartridge casing includes an insertion hole in which a head cover on a cartridge installation portion of a tape printing apparatus is inserted when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion. The insertion hole includes a facing portion that faces a convex portion on the head cover when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion. The facing portion is part of an inner wall of the insertion hole.

A tape cartridge to be installed in a cartridge installation portion of a tape printing apparatus, to which the tape cartridge is detachably installed and which includes an installation base for positioning the tape cartridge, includes a printing tape and a cartridge casing in which the printing tape is accommodated and forms an outer shell of the tape cartridge. The cartridge casing includes a first casing disposed at a front side of the tape when the tape cartridge is installed in the cartridge installation portion, and a second casing disposed at a back side of the tape cartridge when the tape cartridge is installed in the cartridge installation portion. The first casing is formed with an elastic portion which is deformed by a pressing force of a pressing portion of the tape printing apparatus on a casing wall of the first casing at the frond side of the tape cartridge.

A tape reel device includes a cartridge case () rotatably accommodating a spool () around which an ink ribbon () is wound, and a brake () for providing back tension to the ink ribbon () unwound from the spool (). The brake () includes a sliding contact member () in sliding contact with end surface of the rotating spool (), a coil spring () urging the sliding contact member () in shaft direction of the spool (), and a rotation restrictor () for restricting rotation of the sliding contact member (). The rotation restrictor () includes an engaging portion protruded from the cartridge case () to be inserted into the sliding contact member (), and a to-be-engaged portion () which is protruded from inner circumference of the sliding contact member () and with which the engaging portion engages in rotation direction of the spool ().

A tape cartridge includes a platen roller, a winding up core, and a cartridge casing that accommodates a printing tape, an ink ribbon, the platen roller, and the winding up core. The cartridge casing includes an insertion opening in which a head cover on a cartridge installation portion is inserted when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion. The insertion opening includes an inner wall portion including a first inner wall that is disposed at a printing tape accommodation side of the insertion opening and a second inner wall that is disposed at a winding up core side of the insertion opening, and a facing portion that is a corner portion formed by the first inner wall and the second inner wall and faces a convex portion on one of the corners of the head cover when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion.

A tape cartridge configured to be mounted on a tape printer having a print head. The tape cartridge includes a platen, a cartridge case, an insertion opening, and a platen bearing hole. The platen has a contact portion that contacts the print head with a print tape and an ink ribbon arranged therebetween. The cartridge case houses the print tape, the ink ribbon, and the platen. The insertion opening is formed in the cartridge case so that the print head may be inserted into the insertion opening. The platen bearing hole supports the platen rotatably.

Tape cartridge and tape printer

A tape cartridge is installed detachably on a cartridge installation portion of a tape printing apparatus in a predetermined detachable direction. The tape printing apparatus includes a detection portion which detects closing of an opening/closing cover provided on the cartridge installation portion. The tape cartridge includes a displacement input portion. When the opening/closing cover is displaced from an open state to a closed state in a state where the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion, the displacement input portion receives displacement of a detection-target element provided on the opening/closing cover to be displaced according to the displacement of the opening/closing cover, and the displacement output portion actuates a detection element of the detection portion according to displacement of the opening/closing cover to be further displaced in the same direction from the open state to the closed state.

A tape cartridge includes a printing tape, an ink ribbon, a platen roller, a cartridge casing, an insertion opening, and a facing portion. The platen roller receives power from a tape feeding mechanism portion and faces a printing head portion so that the printing tape and the ink ribbon are provided between a platen roller and a printing head at a printing position. The cartridge casing accommodates the printing tape, the ink ribbon, and the platen roller. The insertion opening is provided on the cartridge casing and in which a head cover is inserted when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion. The facing portion is provided on an opening peripheral wall portion of the insertion opening and receives a convex portion to restrict a displacement of the tape cartridge in the cartridge installation portion.

A tape cartridge to be installed in a tape printing apparatus by which a printing tape is fed out to perform printing on the printing tape. The tape cartridge includes the printing tape, a cartridge casing in which the printing tape is accommodated, and an elastic portion by which a reaction force is generated when the elastic portion is deformed by a pressing force of a pressing portion of the tape printing apparatus. The elastic portion is provided on a front surface of the cartridge casing.

A tape printing device or the like in which the misalignment of a loaded tape cartridge can be restrained is provided. A tape printing device includes: a cartridge loading section in which a tape cartridge is loaded; a platen drive shaft which outputs a forward rotational force to feed a print tape of the loaded tape cartridge; a take-up drive shaft which outputs a reverse rotational force to take up an ink ribbon of the loaded tape cartridge; and a main body-side abutting portion which is provided in the cartridge loading section and abuts against the tape cartridge so as to resist the rotational forces generated on the tape cartridge by the platen drive shaft and the take-up drive shaft.

Tape printing device and tape printing system

A tape printing device in which the closing of an open/close cover and the presence/absence of a tape cartridge can be detected simultaneously is provided. The tape printing device includes a cartridge loading section in which a tape cartridge is loaded in an unloadable manner; an open/close cover which opens/closes the cartridge loading section; a cover detection section which is provided in the cartridge loading section and detects closing of the open/close cover; and a protrusion to be detected which is provided on the open/close cover, corresponding to the cover detection section. The protrusion to be detected displaces a displacement portion of the tape cartridge loaded in the cartridge loading section, with the closing of the open/close cover. The cover detection section is actuated for detection, with the displacement of the displacement portion.

A tape cartridge which can be positioned near a print head is provided. A tape cartridge is loaded in a tape printing device including a print head, a head support frame causing the print head to swivel, and a protrusion provided on the head support frame, and has a print tape. The tape cartridge includes a platen roller which receives a pressing force of the print head; a cartridge case having a platen support section which supports the platen roller; and a receiving section which is provided on the side of the print head, of the platen support section, and receives the protrusion.

A tape cartridge to be installed in a tape printing apparatus by which a printing tape is fed out to perform printing on the printing tape, includes the printing tape, a cartridge casing in which the printing tape is accommodated, and a reaction force application portion that is provided on a front surface of the cartridge casing, displaced by a pressing force of a pressing portion of the tape printing apparatus, and applies a reaction force against the pressing force to the pressing portion according to a displacement of the reaction force application portion.

A tape cartridge includes a printing tape, an ink ribbon, a platen roller that receives power from a tape feeding mechanism portion and faces a printing head portion so that the printing tape and the ink ribbon are provided between a platen roller and a printing head at a printing position, a cartridge casing that accommodates the printing tape, the ink ribbon, and the platen roller, an insertion opening that is provided on the cartridge casing and in which a head cover is inserted when the tape cartridge is installed on the cartridge installation portion, and a facing portion that is provided on an opening peripheral wall portion of the insertion opening and receives a convex portion to restrict a displacement of the tape cartridge in the cartridge installation portion.
