An engine control device controls an engine provided with an EGR device. The engine control device is provided with an abnormality determining unit, a restricted operation unit, and a restriction released operation unit. The abnormality determining unit determines whether an abnormality has arisen in the EGR device. The restricted operation unit performs restricted operation in which some functions of the engine are restricted, if the abnormality determining unit has determined that an abnormality has arisen in the EGR device. If a manipulation to release the restricted operation has been performed, the restriction released operation unit switches from restricted operation to restriction released operation in which the restrictions on some of the functions of the engine are released, and performs said restriction released operation.

Engine control device

An engine unit including a heater provided in a blow-by gas returning path for returning a blow-by gas that leaks out from a combustion chamber of an engine to an intake path. The heater is electrically connected to a controller of the engine through wiring harnesses. The controller is configured to, while controlling energization of the heater, perform an abnormality detection on the wiring harness based on a magnitude of current flowing to the wiring harness during energization of the heater, and perform an abnormality detection on the heater and the wiring harnesses based on a magnitude of voltage applied to the wiring harness located downstream from the heater during non-energization of the heater.

Engine unit

An engine device includes an engine, an exhaust gas purification device arranged on an exhaust path of the engine, and an engine control device that controls drive of the engine. The engine control device executes a plurality of regeneration controls with which particulate matter accumulated in the exhaust gas purification device is combusted and removed. As the plurality of regeneration controls, at least non-work regeneration control, in which an exhaust gas temperature is raised in combination of post-injection and a predetermined high rotational speed, is included. The engine control device drives the engine so as to solely combust and remove the particulate matter in the non-work regeneration control and compulsorily executes isochronous control in which a rotational speed of the engine is maintained constant, irrespective of variation in load of the engine.

Regenerative engine device

The application is directed to a diesel engine. If the rack cannot complete a predetermined operation within a predetermined amount of time due to the key switch being held at a start-position, the control unit controls a starter to cause a plunger to perform a preparatory stroke operation, and the stroke operation by the plunger is stopped before the diesel engine starts.

Diesel engine

It is an object to make it possible to burn and remove particulate matter without generating runaway even if the particulate matter is excessively accumulated at the time of regeneration of an exhaust gas purification device. A common rail engine and the exhaust gas purification device placed in an exhaust gas path of the engine are provided. A plurality of regeneration controls for burning and removing the particulate matter accumulated in the exhaust gas purification device can be executed. The plurality of regeneration controls include at least non-operation regeneration control for raising exhaust gas temperature by combining post injection (E) and predetermined high speed rotation speed, and recovery regeneration control which can be executed when the non-operation regeneration control fails. In the non-operation regeneration control and the recovery regeneration control, the engine is driven exclusively for burning and removing the particulate matter. The recovery regeneration control is carried out at exhaust gas temperature lower than that of the non-operation regeneration control while taking time longer than that of the non-operation regeneration control.

Exhaust gas purification system

An engine control apparatus in which a fuel injection apparatus injects a fuel to an engine; detecting means detects a drive state of the engine, and an ECU controls actuation of the fuel injection apparatus on the basis of a detection information of the detecting means and a specific output characteristic data of the engine, wherein compensating means for compensating the output characteristic data is provided, and the ECU is structured such as to compute a limit torque value on the basis of a result of compensation of the output characteristic data by the compensating means and the detection information of the detecting means, and actuate the fuel injection apparatus in correspondence to the limit torque value.

Engine control apparatus

An exhaust gas aftertreatment system for an engine can perform manual regeneration control for regenerating a particulate removal filter by increasing the engine rotation speed. The system can suppress the engine rotation speed increase while maintaining the exhaust gas temperature required to regenerate the particulate removal filter. The system can set the target engine rotation speed to a first set value when a regeneration instruction signal from a manual regeneration switch is received. When, although the engine rotation speed falls within a predetermined engine rotation speed range including the first set value that is the target engine rotation speed for a predetermined time period, the exhaust gas temperature does not reach the filter's regeneration temperature within the predetermined time period, the target engine rotation speed is repeatedly reset by being increased from the first set value by a predetermined rotation speed.

Exhaust gas treatment system for engine

An engine governor calculates the amount of fuel supplied to an engine based on the difference in speed between the target engine speed (Nset) and actual engine speed (Nact). The amount of fuel supplied to the engine is adjusted based on the calculation results. When the difference in speed between the target engine speed (Nset) and low idle engine speed (Nlow) is equal to or less than a first predetermined speed, the difference in speed between the actual engine speed (Nact) and target engine speed (Nset) is equal to or greater than a second predetermined speed, and the calculation results are equal to or less than the minimum value of the actual engine speed (Nact), the P gain is set at a value equal to or greater than the normal value, and in cases where the I component is a negative value, the I component is set to zero.

Engine governor

In an engine such as an engine for driving a pump or dynamo, in which a load increasing state does not appear as an accelerating state of rotation speed, it is intended to prevent the smoke emission in an abruptly load-increasing state, which might otherwise be caused by the suppression or interruption of an EGR quantity. The enginecomprises a superchargerand an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) device. The enginemakes an isochronous control or a droop control, when its rotation speed N is shifted from a no-load (idle) or light-load run to a high-load (load-increasing) state. In case it is detected, when the state of the engineshifts to a load state, that the actual rotation speed N becomes lower by a predetermined rotation speed &#x394;N than a target rotation speed Nm, an EGR valveof the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) deviceis either throttled to an opening smaller by a predetermined opening &#x394;F than the ordinary set opening F corresponding to the load state or fully closed.

Engine

In an electronic control governor that adjusts the amount of fuel supplied to an engine so as to coincide an engine rotation speed with a target rotation speed, by driving an actuator for actuating a fuel adjusting mean due to an actuator driving current overlapped with a dither current, an amplitude or frequency of the dither current is changed, corresponding to a change in the supply quantity of the actuator driving current. Or, the amplitude and frequency of the dither current are changed corresponding to a change in the engine rotation speed. Alternatively, a ratio between turn-on time and turn-off time during one period of the dither current is changed, depending on the velocity ratio between the increased velocity and the decreased velocity of the actuator driving current. Preferably, the ratio of the turn-on time to one period of the dither current is set at 20 to 40%.

Electronic control governor

A propulsion apparatus for synchronizing the revolution speeds of a plurality of engines, each engine having a screw propeller shaft. A single regulator lever synchronously adjusts a revolution speed of the propeller shafts of the engines. When an output rpm of one of the engines has dropped, a control means lowers the revolution speed of the propeller shafts of the remaining engines to a revolution speed which is synchronized to the revolution speed of the propeller shaft of the engine whose rpm has dropped. Synchronization of revolution speeds of the remaining engines with the engine having reduced output rpm is terminated if the output rpm of that engine falls below a predetermined threshold.

A high-pressure pump () for providing a pressurized supply of fuel in an engine furnished with a common rail type fuel injection apparatus is provided with two actuators (). Of these actuators (), one () is stopped and the operation for providing a pressurized supply of fuel is performed from only the other actuator (), so that the timing at which the load torque that acts on the crankshaft of the engine becomes a local maximum and the timing at which the load torque that acts on the driveshaft of the high-pressure pump () becomes a local minimum are made to coincide with one another.

Accumulator-type fuel injection apparatus and internal combustion engine provided with that accumulator-type fuel injection apparatus

Rotation recognition means for recognizing a revolution of a crankshaft based on the cylinders before the combustion cycle of a cylinder in question is provided. When the supply of fuel by injection from an injector to a certain cylinder of the six cylinders has become impossible, then control is performed to change the number of cylinders targeted by the rotation recognition means so as to recognize the revolution of the crankshaft for all six cylinders whose combustion cycles are consecutive prior to the combustion cycle of the cylinder in question, and to stop the supply of fuel from the injectors for supplying fuel to cylinders whose combustion cycles are equally spaced from the cylinder to which the supply of fuel is not possible, so that the spacing between the combustion cycles in the cylinders whose combustion cycles come before and after and sandwich the cylinder to which the supply of fuel is not possible becomes uniform.

A fuel injection device of a diesel engine capable of smoothly starting the diesel engine to match an environment around the engine by saving fuel, reducing the exhaustion of carbon dioxide, and suppressing black smoke in starting the diesel engine. A rack is operated by an actuator from a lowest rack position to a starting increased fuel amount position at a lower speed than that at which the rack is operated by the actuator from the lowest rack position to the starting increased fuel amount position at the maximum operating speed. The operating speed of the rack is set in two stages, and the later operating speed of the rack is reduced less than the operating speed of the rack up to a set intermediate rack target value P. Then, the operating amount of the rack per hour is reduced after the ignition of the engine is recognized. Also, the operating speed of the rack is controlled according to an atmospheric temperature in starting the engine.

Fuel injection device of diesel engine
