A coordinate measuring instrument wherein a measuring element is related to a work to be measured, and a configuration or the like of the work is measured from a displacement of this measuring element. In this measuring instrument, one of supports is supported by one of guide rails in a manner to be positionally adjustable in direction of X- and Z-axes and the other of the supports is supported in a manner to be displaceable only in a direction of one of the guide rails. A slider guide rail racked across the supports can be adjusted in its posture in the direction of X- and Z-axes by a posture adjusting mechanism provided on connecting portions between the slider rail and the supports. The slider guide rail thus adjusted in posture in non-displaceable in the moving direction of a slider in a state where adjustment members provided on the slider guide rail are closely abutted against abutting surfaces of the supports.

Coordinate measuring instrument

This disclosure depicts a clamp device in a measuring instrument wherein a slider having a detecting portion is clamped to a guide member, comprising: a holder provided on the slider and penetrated therethrough with the guide member; a movable block received in the holder and having a through-hole, through which the guide member extends; a screw member threadably coupled into the movable block; and a rotation locking mechanism for locking the movable block. Rotation of the screw member causes the forward end face thereof to contact the guide member, so that the slider can be clamped.

Clamp device in measuring instrument

A coordinate measuring instrument in which a touch signal probe is brought into contact with a workpiece to be measured and a contour of the workpiece is measured in response to an electric signal on the basis of the aforesaid contact. The touch signal probe used in this measuring instrument comprises a first member held on a main body of the probe and a second member rotatably provided on the first member and having a contact member. The second member has a forward end constantly positioned on the rotary axis of the second member irrespective of any position of rotation of the second member.

The present invention relates to a measuring instrument, and this measuring instrument comprises a main frame for axially movably supporting a spindle, a first tubular member having loosely inserted thereinto an engageable member projected from the spindle so as to axially move the spindle, a second tubular member coupled onto the first tubular member and having an elongate groove having inserted thereinto the engageable member, an outer tube coupled onto the second tubular member hand having a spiral groove engaging the forward end of the engageable member and a displacement value detector for detecting a displacement value of the spindle in the axial direction thereof, and the spindle is made linearly movable through the rotation of the outer tube.

Measuring instrument

A two-directional touch sensor for use in a height gauge, other measuring instruments or the like, wherein an abutting contact with a workpiece (W) to be measured is detectable in two directions opposed to each other at 180.degree.. The main body (1) of sensor has a probe shaft (13) rotatably supported by the main body (1) and provided at one end with a spherical measuring element (18) and at the other end with a contacting element (20). When an abutting point (18A) or (18B) of the measuring element (18) being in abutting contact with the workpiece (W) is aligned with a neutral axis (M), the contacting element (20) comes into contact with either one of electric contact points (54B) and (54A) to emit a touch signal.

Two-directional touch sensor

This invention relates to measuring instruments such as a three-dimensional measuring instrument having a device for protecting the surface of a scale provided on a guide rail for moving a measuring element support member. A scale (7) secured to one side surface of one of guide rails provided at opposite side surfaces of a bedplate (1), on which a work (18) to be measured is rested, is covered by a pair of a constant load spring. These constant load springs (8) and (8) are solidly secured at the ends at one side to shock absorbers (20) and (20) provided at the end portions of the guide rail (4) and connected at the ends at the other side to a pair of retractors (27) and (27) provided in a support (10) of a measuring element support member (9), and the constant load springs (8) and (8) can be suitably extended or wound by following movements of the measuring element support member (9), so that adhesion of oil to the surface of the scale (7) and the like can be effectively prevented, thus enabling to secure the stable measuring accuracy.

A digital indication type measuring machine comprising: a main body having a spindle displaceable in the axial direction thereof and a digital indication portion; a plurality of measuring heads detachably mounted to the main body, being different in size from one another, and each incorporating therein cone, in each of which a displacement value of the spindle is converted into a radial projection value of each of measuring elements at conversion rates equal to one another; an encoder for sensing the displacement value of the spindle; and a circuit for processing an output from the encoder and digitally indicating the resultant value.

Radially adjustable internal grinder

A coordinate measuring instrument wherein a measuring element is supported through a measuring element support member in a manner to be displaceable relative to the upper surface of a bedplate in directions of X, Y and Z axes perpendicularly intersecting one another, and a shape and the like of a workpiece to be measured are measured from displacements of the measuring element. This coordinate measuring instrument is provided with a guide rail projecting from one side of the bedplate, for guiding the measuring element support member in the direction of the Y axis and the upper surface of this guide rail is disposed in parallel to the upper surface of the bedplate.

A touch signal probe comprises a probe casing fixed to a shank body through a shank anchor, the probe casing containing a stylus shaft held for inclining relative to the probe casing, a fixed contact on the inner bottom of the probe casing, a contact receiving portion carrying a movable contact which is fixed to the stylus shaft and defines a set of contacts together with the fixed contact, and a spring operably located between the shank anchor and the contact receiving portion to urge the movable contact toward the fixed contact, whereby the displacement of the stylus shaft can be detected on the separation of the contacts. The touch signal probe is characterised in that the shank anchor slidably receives a spring seat having an engagement face engaged by the spring at one end and in that an adjusting screw for forwardly and rearwardly moving the spring seat is threadedly screwed into the shank anchor, the tip of the adjusting screw engaging the opposite face of the spring seat, whereby the spring can be constricted or expanded to adjust a pressure of contact between the fixed and movable contacts by moving the adjusting screw in either of the opposite directions.

Touch signal probe

A touch signal probe including a shank, a probe case, a contact sensor shaft, a leaf spring, three stationary contact bases of steel balls, a contact plate having three movable contact bases of contact point screws, a spring, a ring shaped stopper, and a detector, whereby the touch signal probe can be obtained in small sizes and in light weight so that it can be operated with ease and obtained with low cost.

A spindle driving mechanism includes a spiral groove having a comparatively large pitch for transferring a spindle and an engageable portion to be engaged with this spiral groove. The spindle is provided with a rotation preventing device, and an indicator is driven by an axial movement of the spindle.

Micrometer gauge

A height gauge wherein a control wheel of a driving mechanism for moving a slider at high speed is secured to the slider, and a finger grip of a fine adjustment mechanism for driving the driving mechanism at low speed so as to move the slider at low speed is mounted on the control wheel.
