According to one embodiment, a lighting device includes a light source, and at least one light distribution control member configured to control distribution of light from the light source. The light distribution control member includes a base member higher in refractive index than air, and two optical control layers located opposite each other with a predetermined space therebetween on either side of the base member. The two optical control layers each includes a first region and a second region formed in correlative patterns. The light distribution control member is configured to control the light distribution based on a change of an overlap between the first and second regions depending on a direction of transmitted light.

Lighting device

According to one embodiment, a lighting device includes a base member, a light source on the base member, a light-transmitting cover configured to cover the light source and to emit light emitted from the light source to the outside, and a light guide body provided opposite the light source and configured to guide, to the rear of the light source, at least part of the light from the light source. The cover includes a back light-transmitting region having a plane-normal line directed rearwardly. The light guide body includes a light-incident portion facing the light source and a light guide-emitting portion curvedly extending outward from the light-incident portion, having a distal end portion extending along the back light-transmitting region and directed to the rear.

A method for manufacturing a polyelectrolyte material includes: synthesizing disulfonyl difluorobenzophenone; and polymerizing the disulfonyl difluorobenzophenone, 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone, and phenolphthalein with a crown ether as a catalyst. The synthesizing is performed by reacting 4,4&#x2032;-difluorobenzophenone with fuming sulfuric acid, performing salting-out the reaction product, and recrystallizing the salting-out product.

Electrolyte membrane, electrode, and fuel cell

The present invention is to provide an electrolyte membrane for fuel cell of low fuel permeability and high proton conductivity and to provide a fuel cell comprising the electrolyte membrane. According to the present invention, a polymer membrane including repeating unit of five-membered heterocyclic rings is used as an electrolyte membrane of the fuel cell. The electrolyte membrane has high proton conductivity with free from moves of the fuel or water when the proton conducts in the electrolyte membrane.
