A method of manufacturing a light emitting module is provided. A plurality of light-emitting diodes are aligned on an elongated base board. By a dispenser, an uncured paste of sealing material is continuously applied on a plurality of light-emitting diodes aligned on the elongated base board. The applied paste of sealing material is cured.

Light bulb shaped lamp

A light emitting module includes a base board having a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface. A plurality of light-emitting diodes is provided on the first surface of the base board. A seal covers the plurality of light-emitting diodes, includes a wavelength conversion material, and covers the second surface of the base board.

An LED light bulb includes a base board having a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface. A globe houses the base board. A plurality of light-emitting diodes is arranged on the first surface of the base board. A seal covers the plurality of light-emitting diodes and includes a wavelength conversion material. A first power supply lead and a second power supply lead support the base board. A base is disposed outside of the globe for receiving power.

A light bulb includes an elongated base board having a first end and a second end at opposed ends of a longitudinal axis of the base board, and an upper surface. A single line of light-emitting diodes is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the base board and between the first end and the second end. A base is provided for receiving power. A translucent seal that includes a wavelength conversion material is provided, in which the seal covers the light-emitting diodes and covers the upper surface of the base board. A light bulb shaped lamp according to the present invention includes a translucent base board, an LED chip mounted on the base board, a base for receiving power from outside, at least two power-supply leads for supplying power to the LED chip, and a globe partially attached to the base for housing the base board, the LED chip, and the power-supply leads. Each of the two power-supply leads extends from a side of the base toward inside of the globe and connected to the base board, and the LED chip is provided between a portion at which one of the two power-supply leads and the base board are connected and a portion at which the other of the two power-supply leads and the base board are connected.

A light bulb shaped lamp according to the present invention includes: a hollow globe; an LED module including a base platform and an LED chip mounted on the base platform, the LED module being provided in the globe; a lead wire for supplying power to the LED module; and a stem extending toward the interior of the globe, in which the base platform is directly fixed to the stem.

An LED lamp has an envelope that includes a globe and a case, an interior space of the envelope being divided in two by a mount closing an opening of the globe, the lamp containing, in a globe side of the interior space, an LED and, in a case side of the interior space, a circuit unit for causing the LED to emit light. The LED is thermally connected to the mount, and the mount and the case are joined to the globe such that, during light emission, at least as much heat from the LED is propagated from the mount to the globe as from the mount to the case.

The wavelength converting layer () includes a wavelength converting portion () that converts a wavelength of light from the light-emitting element (), and a light guide portion () made of a light-transmitting material, and the light guide portion () extends from a light-emitting element () side to a light extraction side of the wavelength converting layer (). In a lamp: an LED module and a circuit unit for lighting are housed within an envelope composed of a globe and a case; the LED module is attached to an end of an extension member that extends from a mount, which closes an opening at one end of the case, into the globe; the circuit unit is mounted inside the case; an insulation member disposed inside the case ensures insulation between the mount, which is made of metal, and the circuit unit; the insulation member has a bottomed cylinder portion inserted into the mount, and a protrusion portion formed on an outer circumference of the based cylinder portion that protrudes toward an inner surface of the mount; and the insulation member is attached to the mount by the protrusion portion pressing against the inner surface of the mount.

Lamp having improved insulation of the circuit unit

A light bulb shaped lamp includes: a hollow globe having an opening; an LED module having a base platform and an LED chip mounted on the base platform, the LED module being housed in the globe; a stem extending from the opening of the globe to the vicinity of the LED module; and a regulating component which regulates movement of the LED module with respect to the stem.

To the lighting device, AC power under phase-controlled is supplied. The lighting device is provided with a light emitting elements array and a switching unit. In order to achieve the above object, the semiconductor light emitting device according to the present invention includes a luminous layer, a light transmission layer disposed over a main surface of the luminous layer, and having depressions on a surface facing away from the luminous layer, and a transmission membrane disposed on the light transmission layer so as to follow contours of the depressions, and light from the luminous layer is irradiated so as to pass through the light transmission layer and the transmission membrane.
