A fundus photographing apparatus includes a wavefront detecting optical system having a wavefront sensor for receiving reflection light from a fundus and measuring wavefront aberration of an eye, a wavefront compensating device for compensating the wavefront aberration, and a deviation detecting part for detecting deviation information corresponding to deviation between an effective region in which aberration compensation by the wavefront compensating device is effective, and a wavefront measuring region in which the wavefront aberration is measured by the wavefront detecting optical system, with respect to a direction perpendicular to an optical axial direction.

Fundus photographing apparatus

A fundus photographing apparatus includes a first photographing unit arranged to obtain a first fundus image and including a first illumination optical system including a first light source and a scanning unit, a first photographing optical system and a wavefront compensating unit including a wavefront sensor and a wavefront compensating device, a second photographing unit arranged to obtain a second fundus image of a wide area including a scanning area by the scanning unit and including a second illumination optical system and a second photographing optical system arranged to obtain the second fundus image with a wider view angle under lower magnification than the first fundus image, a monitor, and a control unit arranged to display on the monitor the first and second fundus images, and display an indicator on the second fundus image displayed on the monitor, the indicator indicating a photographed portion of the first fundus image.

A laser treatment apparatus which is used to treat an affected part of a patient by irradiating a treatment laser beam to the affected part is disclosed. The apparatus includes a laser irradiation unit provided with a laser irradiation optical system for delivering the laser beam to the affected part; a contact member including a contact face which is brought into contact with at least one of the affected part and a periphery thereof; a cooler which cools down at least the contact face of the contact member; a sensor which detects at least one of a temperature of a periphery of the contact face made contact with the affected part, a temperature of a predetermined portion of at least one of the contact member and the cooler, a contact state of the contact face with respect to the affected part, and a relative substantially horizontal movement of the contact member with respect to the affected part; and an irradiation controller which controls laser irradiation based on a result of detection by the sensor.

Laser treatment apparatus

A laser treatment apparatus for performing treatment by irradiating a skin of a patient with a laser beam for treatment is disclosed. The apparatus includes: an irradiation unit including a laser source which emits a treatment laser beam and an irradiation optical system which delivers the treatment laser beam from the laser source to a treatment part of the skin to irradiate the part; a skin color detection unit including an imaging element which takes a picture image of the skin to be irradiated and an image processing section which detects a color of the imaged skin; a determination unit which determines an irradiation condition including at least one of output power of the treatment laser beam, irradiation time, irradiation density, and irradiation energy; a memory which stores data on the skin color detected by the detection unit and, in association therewith, data on the irradiation condition determined by the determination unit; and a control section which automatically determines an irradiation condition based on data on a skin color that is newly detected and the data having been stored in the memory, and transmits a control signal representative of the determined irradiation condition to the irradiation unit for control of irradiation of the treatment laser beam.

Disclosed are a laser irradiation method for laser treatment performed by irradiating a treatment part of a patient with a treatment laser beam and a laser treatment apparatus for practicing the method. The method includes the steps of: setting a shape and size of an irradiation area to be irradiated with the laser beam; determining a scanning sequence of beam spots based on the shape and size of the irradiation area set in the setting step, a spot diameter of the laser beam, and a predetermined rule; and performing laser irradiation to the beam spots within the irradiation area in accordance with the scanning sequence determined in the determining step, wherein the predetermined rule is a rule that the beam spots continuously irradiated with the laser beam become nonadjacent and scanning lines continuously irradiated become nonadjacent.

Laser irradiation method for laser treatment and laser treatment apparatus

Protective goggles for protecting the eyes of an operator and others from a treatment laser beam emitted from a laser treatment apparatus is disclosed. The goggles include a protective filter which selectively blocks the treatment laser beam, an operating section for moving the filter in or from the front of the eyes of the operator who wears the goggles, and a control unit which controls the motions of the operating section in time for the emission of the laser beam from the laser apparatus.

A laser treatment apparatus has a hand-piece unit with a laser scanner which deflects a laser beam emitted from a laser source to scan a treatment portion of a patient's skin. In the laser treatment apparatus, the first control device controls the laser scanner to perform a laser scanning irradiation. The detection device detects whether the hand-piece unit is electrically connected with the first control device. When the detection device detects the electrical disconnection of the hand-piece unit to the first control device, the second control device forbids the first control device to conduct the laser scanning irradiation.

A laser treatment apparatus which irradiates a laser beam produced by a treatment laser source to an area of treatment, the apparatus comprises an irradiation condition setting device which sets irradiation conditions of the laser beam, such as an irradiation area, a laser scanning device provided with a plurality of reflectors including at least a reflector which is continuously rotated in a predetermined direction by a motor to perform a laser two-dimensional scanning on the treatment area, a scanning controller which controls the operation of the laser scanning device, and an irradiation controller which controls the laser source to turn on and off the laser beam depending on the irradiation conditions in correspondence with the operation of the laser scanning device.
