Cathode-ray tube having a non-circular yoke section

In a cathode-ray tube apparatus, a deflection yoke is provided on a funnel of a tube and a pair of closed loop coils are provided on a panel and the funnel of the tube at upper and lower sides, respectively. The deflection yoke generates effective magnetic fluxes in the tube and also generates ineffective magnetic fluxes as leakage magnetic fluxes outside of the tube. Some of the leakage magnetic fluxes pass through the coils so that currents are induced in the coils and the resulting induced magnetic fluxes compensate for the leakage magnetic fluxes. Thus, the leakage magnetic fluxes passing through a space in front of the tube are reduced by the compensating magnetic fluxes from the coils.

Cathode-ray tube apparatus having a reduced leak of magnetic fluxes

An image forming apparatus includes a scanner for scanning a light beam over an image carrier, an image forming unit for forming an image on the image carrier corresponding to the light beam scanned over the image carrier by the scanner and a movable supporting member for supporting an image forming medium and conveying the image forming medium to a position where the image on the image carrier is transferred to the image forming medium. The image forming apparatus further includes a first driver for driving the scanner, a second driver for driving the image carrier, a third driver for driving the supporting member, a generator for generating a reference signal, a first controller for controlling the first driver to regulate the scanning speed of the scanner based on the reference signal generated by the generator and a second controller for controlling the second driver to regulate the moving speed of the image carrier based on the reference signal generated by the generator and a third controller for controlling the third driver to regulate the moving speed of the supporting member based on the reference signal generated by the generator.

Image forming apparatus

In a cathode ray tube apparatus, a deflection yoke for generating an effective magnetic field to deflect electron beams in an envelope is provided around a funnel of the envelope. A pair of front magnetic coils are in substantially symmetrical with respect to a horizontal plane including a tube axis and a horizontal direction and are provided on a skirt of the envelope. A pair of rear magnetic coils are also arranged in substantially symmetrical with respect to the horizontal plane and are provided on the deflection yoke. Leakage magnetic fluxes generated from the deflection yoke are reduced by compensating magnetic fluxes generated from the front and rear magnetic coils.

Cathode ray tube apparatus intended to reduce magnetic fluxes leaked

In an electron gun assembly of an in-line type, electron beams emitted from cathode pass through first, second and third grid electrodes and are accelerated and controlled by the electrodes. The accelerated and controlled electron beams are converged by a fourth grid electrode structure and are also focused on the phosphor screen by fifth and sixth grid electrodes. The fourth grid electrode structure is comprised of first to third electrode segments having apertures through which electron beams pass. The first and third electrode segments is maintained at a variable potential which is varied in accordance with a deflection of the electron beams and the second electrode segment is maintained at a constant potential.

Electron gun assembly of color ray tube

An in-line type color CRT electron gun having a triode and a plurality of grids, characterized in that at least one of the plurality of grids is made of a black member or a member on which a black film is formed. The time required for attaining a stable temperature of the member is reduced, thereby improving deviations in static convergence and reducing the time required for an image to be normally displayed.
