An inverter control device for driving a motor with small size, light weight and low cost is provided. The inverter control device includes a first motor voltage command corrector that corrects a voltage command of each phase by multiplying the each phase voltage command by a PN voltage correction coefficient, and a second motor voltage command corrector that corrects again the each phase voltage command once corrected by the first motor voltage command corrector, only when any one of the phase voltage commands corrected by the first motor voltage command corrector is larger than the inverter DC voltage, by multiplying the voltage command of each phase corrected by the first motor voltage command corrector by the inverter DC voltage value, and dividing the product of the multiplication by the maximum value of the phase voltage commands corrected by the first motor voltage command corrector.

Inverter control device for driving a motor and an air conditioner

A reactor having a predetermined small capacity is connected to a rectifier, and a capacitor having a predetermined small capacity is connected between DC bus lines of the inverter, so that a small, light and low-cost inverter controller for driving a motor can be implemented, and even when an inverter DC voltage largely fluctuates and it is difficult to drive the motor, the motor can be kept driving by operating the inverter such that a voltage applied to the motor may stay constant by a motor voltage command corrector which generates a motor voltage command correction value of the motor.

In a motor control apparatus of the present invention, a control section which receives an input voltage to an inverter circuit, a motor current flowing to a brushless motor and a motor current command value indicating the value of a current required to flow to the inverter circuit, and controls the inverter circuit by maintaining a phase of the voltage applied to the brushless motor when the value of the input voltage to the inverter circuit is smaller than the value of a voltage required to be applied to the brushless motor.

An inverter control device for driving a motor with small size, light weight and low cost is provided. The inverter control device generates PN voltage correction coefficient by dividing the reference DC voltage by the detected DC voltage, and corrects the voltage command of each phase by multiplying the voltage command of each phase obtained by the motor voltage command generator with the PN voltage correction coefficient output from the PN voltage corrector, thus resulting in the corrected motor voltage command. The inverter control device has, in generating PN voltage correction coefficient, a first mode in which the PN voltage correction coefficient is set to 1 when the DC voltage value is more than the reference DC voltage, and a second mode in which the value obtained by dividing the reference DC voltage by the detected DC voltage is set to the PN voltage correction coefficient.

A reactor having a predetermined small capacity is connected to a rectifier, and a capacitor having a predetermined small capacity is connected between DC bus lines of the inverter. A PN voltage corrector calculates a ratio of the DC voltage detection value of the inverter obtained by the PN voltage detector to a predetermined DC voltage reference value of the inverter to thereby generate a PN voltage correction factor. A beat amount corrector calculates a fluctuation amount of the motor current from the motor current detection value obtained by the motor current detector and generates a reverse phase component of the motor current fluctuation amount. Thus, a small, light and low-cost inverter controller can be implemented.

An inverter controller for driving a motor includes a rectifier having a reactor, an inverter, a capacitor, a generator which generates a voltage command value for each phase of the motor, a detector which detects a DC voltage between the DC buses of the inverter, a first corrector which calculates a voltage correction coefficient by comparing the DC voltage with a predetermined DC reference voltage, a second corrector which corrects the voltage command value by multiplying the voltage command value and the voltage correction coefficient, a selector which selects either two-phase modulation or three-phase modulation as a modulation type, a computer that computes a carrier frequency, and a pulse width modulation controller which controls a pulse width modulation so that a value of a voltage to be applied to the motor equals to the corrected voltage command value, by using the selected modulation type and the selected carrier frequency.

In a brushless motor control method and a brushless motor controller in accordance with the present invention, a rotor rotation position detection means detects the time of the intersection of a detected induced voltage and an induced voltage reference value. In addition, a motor speed calculation means calculates the rotation speed of a brushless motor on the basis of the interval of the intersection times detected by the rotor rotation position detection means. Furthermore, a speed control means outputs a duty factor index on the basis of the deviation between the command speed and the rotation speed of the brushless motor. Still further, a switching signal generation means outputs switching signals to groups of switching devices on the basis of the rotation speed and the duty factor index at the time of the intersection.

Synchronous reluctance motor control device

The invention provides an motor drive apparatus comprising a detector for detecting a terminal voltage in a non-energized phase and a detector for detecting a DC voltage applied to the main line of an inverter. The rotation of the brushless motor is controlled by specifying the inverter circulating current period from the terminal voltage and the DC voltage and calculating the magnetic pole position of the rotor from the terminal voltage after the end of the inverter circulating current period and a waveform of the terminal voltage predetermined from the characteristics of the brushless motor. As a result, the brushless motor can be rotated stably throughout a wide revolution range from low to high speeds.

Apparatus and method for driving a brushless motor

Device and method are provided for starting a brushless motor easily enables reliable motor starting, and prevents overcurrent supply when starting the motor. The permanent magnet rotor is firstly positioned by supplying current from one phase to another phase (or the other two phases) before starting the motor. The motor is then started by controlling the switch-operation of the switching devices of the inverter based on output signals from Hall ICs which detect the pole position of the magnet rotor. Thus positioning the rotor before starting motor ensures output of stable Hall IC signals, and enables the brushless motor to be started without affection of electrical noise or the slight moving of the magnet rotor.

Device and method for starting a brushless motor

A converter circuit has a reactor connectable to an AC power supply. It further has a PWM converter circuit connected to the reactor, the PWM converter circuit including a high speed diode, a rectifier diode and a switching element connected in parallel to the rectifier diode. The converter circuit further has an input current detector for detecting an input current of the PWM converter circuit, a DC voltage level detector for detecting an output voltage of the PWM converter circuit, a voltage polarity detector connected to the AC power supply, and a control device. The control device measures a variation period of the output voltage measured by the voltage level detector to judge a power supply frequency. It then controls the PWM converter circuit based on a power supply frequency judgement result, a detection result from the voltage level detector, an input current detected by the input current detector, and an output voltage detected by the DC voltage detector.

Converter circuit having control means with capability to short-circuit converter output

A fan drive device is not affected by variations in the strength of the fan drive motor rotor magnet or the components of the circuit for detecting fan drive motor induction voltage, or by the capacitance of a high capacitance capacitor in a dc supply circuit, and can therefore detect with good precision and without added components the speed of a high voltage, PWM drive fan drive motor when driven by an external force such as the wind. The fan drive device detects fan drive motor speed using a plurality of signals obtained from Hall ICs disposed in the fan drive motor for detecting the rotor magnet position, and prohibits fan drive motor drive when the fan drive motor speed is detected to exceed a specific threshold value.

The present invention provides a power supply apparatus which can suppress a raising and hunting of output (DC voltage) to a load which is light. The power supply apparatus comprises an AC-to-DC converter for supplying a load with a DC voltage, and a switching operation controller for correcting a power factor and controlling a switching element so that an output or a DC voltage of the AC-to-DC converter becomes a predetermined target value. The switching operation controller has a low-pass filter for smoothening the DC voltage with a variable cut off frequency. By varying the cut-off frequency of the low-pass filter, it is possible to recognize a rising of the DC voltage to suppress and stabilize a boost and hunting of the DC voltage in a light load state.
