A magnetic detection device includes a substrate including a penetration part, a magnetic detection part supported on the substrate to overlap the penetration part, a pair of magnetic guiding parts arranged to sandwich the penetration part and the magnetic detection part, the pair of magnetic guiding parts being configured to guide a magnetic flux from a magnetic generation part to the magnetic detection part, and a soft magnetic member at least partially provided inside the penetration part.

Magnetic detection device, torque sensor and electric power steering device

Output signals of a torque sensor include a first output signal used in an assist control and a second output signal used in controls other than the assist control. An adjusting device of an electric power steering device includes an input torque meter for measuring an input torque applied to the input shaft, an output torque meter for measuring an output torque output by the steering mechanism, and a sensor output corrector for correcting an output signal of the torque sensor. The sensor output corrector corrects the first output signal so that a relationship between the input torque measured by the input torque meter and the output torque measured by the output torque meter becomes an ideal characteristic set in advance, and corrects the second output signal so that an input torque detected by the torque sensor coincides with the input torque measured by the input torque meter.

Electric power steering device and adjusting device and adjusting method of electric power steering device

An adjusting apparatus for an electric power steering device includes a steering mechanism converting an input torque into a steering force and transmitting the steering force to wheels, a torque sensor outputting a torque detection signal according to an input torque, an electric motor applying a steering assist torque according to a torque detection signal output from the sensor, a sensor circuit changing output characteristics of the sensor, an actuator applying an input torque to the steering mechanism, a steering force meter actuating the motor via the sensor according to an input torque and measuring a steering force output by the steering mechanism, and a sensor output adjuster adjusting the output characteristic of the sensor circuit to approximate a steering force measured by the meter to an ideal value set in advance according to a deviation amount calculated based on a difference between the steering force and the ideal value.

Apparatus and method for adjusting electric power steering device

A torque sensor includes a magnetism generation portion that rotates together with a first shaft, a rotating magnetic circuit portion that rotates together with a second shaft, a fixed magnetic circuit portion fixed to a housing, a magnetism detector that detects a magnetic flux density guided from the magnetism generation portion to the fixed magnetic circuit portion through the rotating magnetic circuit portion in accordance with torsional deformation of the torsion bar, and a shield disposed between the rotating magnetic circuit portion and the magnetism detector in order to shield the magnetism detector magnetically.

Torque sensor

In a torque sensor that detects torque acting on a torsion bar on the basis of a magnetic flux density conducted to a magnetism collecting ring provided in a housing, the magnetism collecting ring is an annular member formed such that an axial direction end portion thereof is thinner than a central portion. The housing includes an annular groove formed to be capable of accommodating the magnetism collecting ring and provided as a recess in an inner peripheral wall of the housing so as to be deeper than a thickness of the end portion of the magnetism collecting ring, and a caulk portion provided in the inner peripheral wall to caulk the magnetism collecting ring by covering the end portion of the magnetism collecting ring that is fitted into the annular groove.

Power steering device

A torque sensor detects a torque acting on a torsion bar provided between a first shaft and a second shaft on the basis of a magnetic flux density led to a rotating magnetic circuit portion from a magnetism generating portion. The magnetism generating portion includes a back yoke and a ring magnet. The back yoke includes a fitting portion fitted onto the first shaft, a joint portion to which the ring magnet is joined, and a stress reduction cutout that suppresses a transmission of a deformation stress generated in a radial direction of the fitting portion to the joint portion.

A torque sensor () detects an input torque input into a torsion bar () using a magnetic force generating part (), a rotating magnetic circuit (), a fixed magnetic circuit (), and a magnetic sensor (). The rotating magnetic circuit () comprises a first soft magnetic member () and a second soft magnetic member (), each of which comprises a magnetic ring (), a magnetic tip () facing the magnetic force generating part (), and a magnetic column () connecting the tip () and the ring (). By disposing the first soft magnetic member () and the second soft magnetic ring () so as to face each other, the soft magnetic rings () are formed in an identical shape that can be manufactured by press-working a plate material, thereby realizing a compact and lightweight torque sensor ().

A torque sensor () comprises a magnetic collecting ring () fitted into an annular groove () formed on the inner periphery () of a housing (). By providing a staking part () on the inner periphery () of the housing () in the vicinity of the annular groove () using a staking device (), the magnetic collecting ring () can be secured in the annular groove () through a simple process.

Torque sensor and manufacturing method thereof

A torque sensor is provided in which a magnetic body can be easily positioned and fixed, and in which an excessive force is prevented from being exerted on a resin or the magnetic body when the magnetic body is press-fitted to a shaft, whereby no resin is damaged, and further stress is not left at the magnetic body. The torque sensor is characterized in that a press-fit member to be press-fitted to a shaft is molded with a resin in a state in which a part thereof is exposed to the outside of the resin, whereby the part thereof becomes a pressure receiving portion, and the pressure receiving portion is pressed with an assembly jig when a magnetic yoke assembly is incorporated to a shaft.

A magnetism generation portionis provided at a first shaft, and a first magnetic yokeand a second magnetic yokebent in L shape are provided at a second shaftso that a magnetic flux generated at the magnetism generation portioncan be detected on the outer circumference side of the second shaft, and a magnetism detecting device for detecting the magnetic flux can be provided on the outer circumference side of the second shaft.

A rotation angle sensor comprises permanent magnets having opposite poles facing each other, and a flux density detecting unit which performs relative rotation between the permanent magnets . Opposite magnetic pole surfaces of the permanent magnets are formed in a curved shape so that the flux density between the permanent magnets can be suitably distributed. In this way, the resolution of the sensor can be increased without increase in cost.
