An optical scanning device includes a light transmitting member, a guide rail, a holding member, and a cleaning member. The light transmitting member extends in a main scanning direction and transmits a light beam. The guide rail extends in the main scanning direction and is arranged parallel to the light transmitting member. The holding member extends in a cross direction intersecting the main scanning direction and moves in the main scanning direction along the guide rail. The cleaning member is held by the holding member and cleans a light emitting surface of the light transmitting member by means of movement of the holding member in the main scanning direction.

Optical scanning device having cleaning unit and image forming apparatus having the same

An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, an exposure device, a supporting member and a main adjustment member. The photosensitive drum is provided for each of colors forming a color image. The exposure device is configured to emit a laser light on each of the photosensitive drums to form an electrostatic latent image. The supporting member is configured to support end portions of rotation shafts of all the photosensitive drums. The main adjustment member is configured to shift the supporting member in a vertical plane to adjust a skew of the laser light.

Image forming apparatus

A developing device includes a housing, a developing roller, a developer conveying section, and a conveying screw. The developing roller includes a stationary magnet, and a sleeve rotatable around the stationary magnet. The developing roller faces a photoconductive drum. The developer conveying section is disposed below the developing roller for circularly conveying developer therein. The conveying screw conveys developer to supply developer to the developing roller. The stationary magnet includes a separation pole for producing a magnetic field that causes separation of developer from the sleeve. The housing includes a standing wall disposed downstream of the developing position in a rotational direction of the sleeve and facing the developing roller. The standing wall is formed with at least one opening that faces the separation pole in a horizontal direction. The developing device further includes at least one filter section covering the at least one opening.

A toner container includes an elongated container main body, a first toner storage portion provided in one side of the container main body in its longitudinal direction, a first rotation member rotatably provided in the first toner storage portion, a second toner storage portion provided in the other side of the container main body in the longitudinal direction, and a second rotation member rotatably provided in the second toner storage portion. The container main body includes a flat plate-like lid member closing opening portions of a first housing of the first toner storage portion and a second housing of the second toner storage portion. First and second bearing portions rotatably supporting a first end portion of a first rotation shaft of the first rotation member and a second end portion of a second rotation shaft of the second rotation member are provided on an inner surface of the lid member.

An image forming apparatus includes a toner container storing toner, and an attachment portion configured to support the toner container in an attachable/detachable manner. The toner container includes a plurality of fixed terminals that are fixed to a facing surface that is a side surface located on one side in an attachment/detachment direction of the toner container with respect to the attachment portion, the facing surface facing the attachment portion when the toner container is attached to the attachment portion. The attachment portion includes a terminal support portion and a plurality of elastic terminals that are provided on the terminal support portion, elastically contact and electrically connect with the fixed terminals respectively, and include a first ground terminal. The elastic terminals project from the terminal support portion toward the facing surface. The first ground terminal is longer than the other elastic terminals in projection length.

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a sheet feed section, an image forming section, a partition unit, an air inflow portion, a first sheet conveyance section, a second sheet conveyance section, and an air sucking and discharging section. The partition unit partitions an interior of an apparatus casing into a first space in which the image forming section is disposed and a second space in which the sheet feed section, the first sheet conveyance section, and the second sheet conveyance section are disposed. Air outside the apparatus casing is taken into the first space through the air inflow portion. The second sheet conveyance section includes a conveyance guide disposed downstream of the image forming section in a conveyance direction of a recording sheet. The air sucking and discharging section sucks air around the conveyance guide and discharges the air into the second space or out of the apparatus casing.

Inkjet recording apparatus

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a control section, a conveyance section, a recording head, a negative pressure applying section, a gap forming section, and a first voltage applying section. The conveyance section conveys a recording medium placed on a conveying surface. The negative pressure applying section applies negative pressure to holes in the conveying surface to suck the recording medium onto the conveying surface. The gap forming section forms a narrow gap, with the conveying surface, further upstream in a conveyance direction of the recording medium than the recording head. The gap forming section is composed of at least a part of a conductive portion. The first voltage applying section applies a voltage to the conductive portion. The control section controls the first voltage applying section to apply the voltage to the conductive portion while the inkjet recording apparatus performs a specific process.

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a conveyance section, a plate member, and a negative pressure applying section. The recording head ejects ink onto a recording medium. The conveyance section conveys the recording medium to a position of image forming by the recording head and has a conveying surface on which the recording medium is to be placed. The plate member is located upstream of the recording head in a conveyance direction of the recording medium to form a narrow gap with the conveying surface of the conveyance section. The negative pressure applying section applies negative pressure to the narrow gap. A distance across the narrow gap in a direction perpendicular to the conveying surface is set so as to allow air flowing into the narrow gap from surrounding space to have a higher flow velocity in the narrow gap than before flowing into the narrow gap.

Inkjet recording apparatus that conveys recording medium while applying negative pressure

A developing device of the present disclosure includes a developing roller, a toner supply roller, a regulation blade, a casing, a toner receiving support member, a toner receiving member, a vibration generation unit, and a vibration inhibition member. The toner receiving support member is disposed in the casing so as to be opposed to the developing roller or the toner supply roller in an area between the regulation blade and an image carrier. The toner receiving member has a toner receiving surface that receives toner dropping from the developing roller, and is supported so as to be swingable about an end edge thereof on a toner supply roller side as a fulcrum. In a state where the toner receiving member is not vibrating, the vibration inhibition member is in contact with each of both end portions of the toner receiving surface in a longitudinal direction thereof.

A conveyor device is installed opposite to a recording head in a recording apparatus. The conveyor device includes a conveyor belt and a suction section. The conveyor belt conveys a recording medium. The suction section includes a guide member having first through holes within a first region and second through holes outside of the first region. The guide member has a surface that is located opposite to the recording head with the conveyor belt therebetween and that has first grooves and second grooves therein. The first region includes at least a head facing region located directly opposite to the recording head. The first through holes are located inside of the first grooves. Each of the first grooves is shorter than the recording head. The second through holes are located inside of the second grooves. The suction section sucks on the recording medium through the conveyor belt and the guide member.

Conveyor device and inkjet recording apparatus

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a control section, a conveyance section, a recording head, a gap forming section, and a negative pressure applying section. The gap forming section is disposed upstream of the recording head in a conveyance direction of a recording medium to form a narrow gap with a conveying surface of the conveyance section. The negative pressure applying section applies negative pressure to the narrow gap. The control section adjusts a distance across the narrow gap in the direction perpendicular to the conveying surface to a first distance in image formation. Upon receiving an instruction to clean the gap forming section, the control section adjusts the distance across the narrow gap in a direction perpendicular to the conveying surface to a second distance that is greater than the first distance and causes the negative pressure applying section to start applying negative pressure to the narrow gap.

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a conveyance section, a first voltage applying section, and a second power supplying section. The recording head ejects ink onto a recording sheet. The conveyance section conveys the recording sheet to a position of image forming by the recording head. The first power supplying section applies a voltage to the recording sheet upstream of the recording head in a conveyance direction of the recording sheet. The second power supplying section includes a plate member located between the recording head and the first power supplying section and applies a voltage to the plate member that is of opposite polarity to the voltage applied by the first power supplying section.

A conveyor device includes a conveyor belt and a suction section. The conveyor belt conveys a recording medium. The suction section sucks on the recording medium via the conveyor belt. The suction section includes a guide member that supports the recording medium via the conveyor belt. The guide member has a plurality of grooves including at least one pair of grooves that are adjacent in a conveyance direction of the recording medium. Each of the grooves in the pair has an end adjacent to an end of the other groove in the pair. The adjacent ends of the respective grooves in the pair each have a portion overlapping with a portion of the adjacent end of the other groove in the pair (groove overlapping region) in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction.

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a conveyance section, and a negative pressure applying section. The recording head ejects ink onto a recording medium. The conveyance section conveys the recording medium placed on a conveying surface thereof to the recording head. The negative pressure applying section includes an airflow chamber and causes the recording medium to be sucked onto the conveying surface by negative pressure through holes in an upper wall of the airflow chamber and holes in the conveying surface. Negative pressure applied through first holes in a first region is greater than that applied through second holes in a second region. The first region is located upstream of a head facing region in a conveyance direction of the recording medium. The second region is located downstream of the first region in the conveyance direction of the recording medium and includes the head facing region.
