An all-solid-state battery includes a pair of electrode layers consisting of first and second electrode layers, and a solid-state electrolyte layer positioned between the pair of electrode layers, wherein the first electrode layer contains an electrode active material having an olivine-type crystalline structure, the solid-state electrolyte layer contains a solid-state electrolyte having a NASICON-type crystalline structure, and the solid-state electrolyte layer in the vicinity of the first electrode layer is expressed by a composition formula LiACoM'M&#x2033;PO. The all-solid-state battery can improve the long-term cycle stability.

A dye-sensitized solar cell includes: a transparent electrode; a power generation layer on the first main surface of the transparent electrode, including a semiconductor layer, a photosensitizing dye and an electrolyte layer; a counter electrode on the main surface of the power generation layer, having an electrode extraction region, wherein at least a part of the side surfaces of the counter electrode and at least a part of the side surfaces of the power generation layer are positioned coplanar, the electrode extraction region of the counter electrode overlaps with at least a part of the main surface of the power generation layer in a top view, and the side surfaces of the power generation layer are covered with a sealing layer formed extending from one of the transparent electrode and the counter electrode to the other.

Dye-sensitized solar cell and method of manufacturing the same

A dye-sensitized solar cell includes four generation cells, wherein their negative electrodes and positive electrodes are facing each other, with an electrolytic solution sealed in between, and being contacted by generation layers. On the other main side of a polyimide layer on which the positive electrodes are formed, wiring layers corresponding to the positive electrodes are provided in positions overlapping with both the corresponding positive electrodes and the positive electrodes adjacent thereto. The wiring layers corresponding to the positive electrodes are connected by through holes and conductor penetrating the polyimide layer. The negative electrodes of the generation cells are connected, on the outer periphery side, with the wiring layers that are connected to the positive electrodes of the adjacent generation cells, except for the wiring layer and negative electrode on which leader terminal parts are formed.

Provided is an optical information recording medium employing an In-Groove recording system, and having a preferable recording characteristic with a high modulation degree and low jitter characteristics. The medium is comprised of a circular-disk shaped substratehaving a through hole at a center portion thereof and a helical guide grooveon one surface thereof; a reflective layerformed on the guide grooveof the substrate; a recording layerformed on the reflective layerand composed of an organic material including a dye; a protection layerprovided on the recording layer; and a light-transmissive layerformed on the protection layer. The recording layerincludes an organic dye which is an azo metal complex compound having a structure represented by (Chemical formula 1) and a functional group represented by (Chemical formula 2).

Playback durability of a writable optical disk is ensured. A method of controlling a playback condition includes continuously irradiating an optical disk with a laser beam having a power level lower than a mark formation level and detecting a change of a state of a signal caused by a return light from the optical disk, and setting a playback condition for the optical disk according to the change of the state of the signal. The playback durability of the optical disk can be ensured by adaptively controlling the playback condition as stated above.
