The present invention relates to a method for producing a niobium solid electrolytic capacitor using niobium as an anode body, which comprises a step of chemically converting the anode, wherein the chemical conversion step comprises a first chemical conversion step of forming a chemical conversion coating of the anode, a step of heating the anode body having been subjected to the first chemical conversion step, and a second chemical conversion step of once again chemically converting the heated anode body; wherein electrolytic chemical conversion is performed in the first chemical conversion step and the second chemical conversion step using a chemical conversion liquid, which contains a metal nitrate salt as an electrolyte, at a temperature from 40&#xb0; C. to the boiling point of the solvent; and wherein the heating step is performed at a temperature of 150 to 300&#xb0; C. The method for producing a niobium solid electrolytic capacitor of the present invention can increase the stability of an oxide film which functions as a dielectric body and prevent increase in leakage current, thereby improving the yield and reliability in the method for producing a niobium solid electrolytic capacitor.

An aqueous dispersion of titanium oxide particles comprising chloride ion, and a Br&#xf8;nsted base other than chloride ion, preferably at least one kind of ion selected from nitrate ion and phosphate ion. Preferably the titanium oxide particles are predominantly comprised of brookite titanium oxide particles. The aqueous titanium oxide dispersion is prepared by hydrolyzed titanium tetrachloride in the presence of at least one kind of a Br&#xf8;nsted acid. A thin film formed from this aqueous titanium oxide dispersion exhibits good photo-catalytic activity, transparency and adhesion to a base material.

The interior member or indoor equipment exhibits a photocatalytic function upon irradiation of a weak ultraviolet ray having irradiation energy of from 0.001 to 0.2 mW/cm at 365 nm.

A composition comprising metal oxide particles having photo-catalytic activity, a solvent-soluble zirconium compound and a solvent. Preferably, the metal oxide particles having photocatalytic activity are titanium oxide particles; the metal oxide particles have an average particle diameter of about 0.005 to 0.3 &mgr;m; and the amount of the zirconium compound is in the range of about 3-200 parts by weight, as ZrO , per 100 parts by weight of the metal oxide articles. A composite of a film having a photo-catalytic activity with a base material is made by coating the base material with the above composition to form a film, and curing the film on the base material.
