A semiconductor device with high reliability is provided. The semiconductor device includes a first transistor, a second transistor, a capacitor, and first to fourth wirings. The first transistor includes a first gate and a second gate, and one of a source and a drain of the first transistor is connected to the first wiring and the second gate, and the other of the source and the drain is connected to one of a source and a drain of the second transistor and one electrode of the capacitor. A gate of the second transistor is connected to the other electrode of the capacitor, and the other of the source and the drain of the second transistor is electrically connected to the second wiring. The first wiring is supplied with a first potential, and the second wiring is supplied with a second potential and a third potential alternately. The third wiring is connected to the first gate and supplied with a first signal. The fourth wiring is connected to the gate of the second transistor and supplied with a second signal obtained by inverting the first signal.

Semiconductor device, display device, and electronic device

A highly reliable semiconductor device is provided. The semiconductor device includes first to third transistors and a capacitor. In the first transistor, one of a source and a drain is supplied with a first signal, the other of the source and the drain is connected to a gate of the second transistor and one electrode of the capacitor, and a gate is supplied with a second pulse signal. In the second transistor, one of a source and a drain is supplied with a first pulse signal, and the other of the source and the drain is connected to the other electrode of the capacitor and one of a source and a drain of the third transistor. In the third transistor, the other of the source and the drain is supplied with the first potential, and a gate is supplied with a second signal that is an inverted signal of the first signal. The first pulse signal is a clock signal, and the second pulse signal has a duty ratio of 55% or lower.

An electronic device using a novel optical module is provided. The optical module includes a first light-emitting element, an optical conversion element, and a first light-receiving element. The first light-emitting element includes a plurality of fluorescent substances and a light-emitting diode. The optical conversion element includes a first optical filter. The light-emitting diode emits first light, and the fluorescent substances can emit second light by being excited by the first light. The first optical filter can form third light having a wavelength range longer than 680 nm from the second light. The first light-receiving element has the function of detecting the third light, and the first light-receiving element functions as a sensor detecting the existence of a shielding object on a light path connecting the first light-emitting element and the first light-receiving element. Furthermore, the second light formed by the optical module can function as a light source of the display device.

Optical module or electronic device

A display device with improved display quality and reduced power consumption is provided. The display device includes a gate driver, a display portion, and a selection signal output circuit. The display portion includes pixel circuits and scan lines. Each of the pixel circuits includes a display element. The gate driver is electrically connected to the scan lines. The first scan lines are electrically connected to the pixel circuits. The scan lines are each configured to receive a first scan signal. The selection signal output circuit is configured to output a first selection signal. The first selection signal is configured to supply the first scan signal to a selected scan line. The display element is configured to update display by the first scan signal. In the pixel circuits, one display element displays an image updated with a different update frequency from another display element.

Display device, display module, and electronic device

A display device or the like with a novel structure which can ensure a sufficiently long period for writing data signals in pixels is provided. A display device or the like with a novel structure which can display an image of one frame without greatly degrading display quality is provided. The display device includes a gate driver and a pixel portion. The pixel portion includes a plurality of pixels. The gate driver is configured to output a first scan signal to a first gate line in a first frame period. The gate driver is configured to output a second scan signal to a second gate line in a second frame period. The second gate line is a gate line next to the first gate line. The pixels are configured to hold data signals, which are written in the pixels in the first frame period, in the first frame period and the second frame period.

A novel display device capable of adjusting color purity is provided. A novel display device with improved adhesion of a color filter is provided. A novel display device capable of excellent reflective display is provided. The display device includes a transistor, a reflective electrode layer formed on the same surface as a source electrode layer or a drain electrode layer of the transistor, a first insulating layer over the reflective electrode layer, a coloring layer which is over the first insulating layer and overlaps with the reflective electrode layer, a second insulating layer over the coloring layer, and a pixel electrode layer over the second insulating layer. The coloring layer includes at least a first opening and a second opening. The pixel electrode layer is electrically connected to the transistor through the first opening. The second insulating layer is in contact with the first insulating layer in the second opening.

Display device and electronic device with a color filter

A novel display device capable of excellent reflective display is provided. The display device includes a transistor including a gate electrode layer, a gate insulating layer over the gate electrode layer, a semiconductor layer over the gate insulating layer, and a source electrode layer and a drain electrode layer over the gate insulating layer and the semiconductor layer; a reflective electrode layer on the same plane as the source electrode layer and the drain electrode layer; a coloring layer overlapping with the reflective electrode layer; a pixel electrode layer overlapping with the coloring layer; and an anti-oxidation conductive layer connected to one of the source electrode layer and the drain electrode layer. The pixel electrode layer is connected to the transistor through the anti-oxidation conductive layer.

A highly reliable light-emitting device or lighting device is provided. Further, a light-emitting device or lighting device with a high manufacturing yield is provided. Provided is a light-emitting device having a contact structure which includes a separation layer having a shape typified by a reverse tapered shape in which an outline of the bottom portion is inside an outline of an upper portion and which utilizes the difference between an amount of a light-emitting layer extending inside the outline and that of an upper electrode extending inside the outline. Further, when the outline of the separation layer which forms the contact portion has a depression and a projection, the length of the contact portion can be increased, and thus, contact resistance can be reduced.
