A foreign matter detection sensor includes a sensor section, power supply members, a sealing member, and includes an elastic elongated hollow insulating body with separated electrode wires inside the insulating body. The sensor section includes a first end and a second end and detects foreign matter by receiving external force from the foreign matter and being elastically deformed. The power supply members are electrically connected to the electrode wires at the second end of the sensor section via electrode connecting portions. Each power supply member includes a direction changing section, extending from an associated electrode connecting portion in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the sensor section and further extends in a direction toward the first end of the sensor section. The sealing member on the second end of the sensor section seals the electrode connecting portions, the direction changing sections, and one end of the hollow body.

Foreign matter detection sensor

An object detection sensor includes a hollow insulator, a plurality of electrode wires, a terminal molded member, and a blocking member. The hollow insulator includes a longitudinal end. The electrode wires are arranged in the hollow insulator with the electrode wires spaced apart from each other. Each electrode wire includes a drawn-out portion that is drawn out of the hollow insulator from the longitudinal end of the hollow insulator. The terminal molded member is formed from an insulative terminal molding resin material. The drawn-out portions are embedded in the terminal molded member. The blocking member, which is arranged at the longitudinal end of the hollow insulator, blocks entrance of the terminal molding resin material into the hollow insulator.

Object detection sensor and method for producing the same

An output power transmission device has a transmission plate and a C-ring. The transmission plate is attached to a wheel gear in an axial direction of the wheel gear such that the transmission plate directly engages with the wheel gear in a rotation direction. The transmission plate functions as a transmission member for transmitting rotation of the wheel gear to an output shaft. The C-ring is provided at a position where the C-ring sandwiches the transmission plate with the wheel gear in the axial direction. The C-ring functions as a restriction section for restricting movement of the transmission plate in the axial direction opposite from the wheel gear side. An elastic claw section as a pressing member is formed on the wheel gear. The elastic claw section presses the transmission plate against the C-ring in the axial direction.

Output power transmission device and motor with speed reducing mechanism

At the time of assembling an electric motor, plain bearings are installed over a worm shaft to form a shaft assembly. Then, the worm shaft together with the plain bearings is inserted into a gear housing in an inserting direction, which is generally parallel to an axial direction of the worm shaft, such that each of the plain bearings is press fitted into a corresponding installation part of the housing.

Rotatable shaft assembling method, rotatable shaft assembly, and electric motor having the same

A brake device arranged between a drive shaft and a driven shaft arranged coaxially with the drive shaft is disclosed. The brake device includes a first rotor, a second rotor, an engagement member, a braking mechanism, and a cam mechanism. The braking mechanism includes a movable friction member rotatable integrally with the second rotor, a fixed friction portion, and an urging member that urges the movable friction member toward the fixed friction portion. When rotational force is provided from the drive shaft to the first rotor, the cam mechanism permits transmission of rotation of the drive shaft to the driven shaft. When the rotational force is provided from the driven shaft to the second rotor, the cam mechanism restricts rotation of the driven shaft. The cam mechanism is provided independently from the engagement member.

Brake device and motor with speed reducing mechanism

A drive apparatus for opening and closing a window glass provided in a door having an inner panel is disclosed. The drive apparatus includes a motor provided in the door and a regulator that receives drive force from the motor and selectively open and close the window glass. The door noise includes motor operating noise and vibration transmission noise that is generated when vibration of the motor is transmitted to the inner panel via the regulator. The motor is configured such that a first-order frequency component in vibration of the motor is greater than any other nth component (n is an integer greater than or equal to two), so that the first-order frequency component in the door noise is greater than any other nth frequency component (n is an integer greater than or equal to two).

Door noise suppressing structure in open/close body drive apparatus

A motor controller that outputs a drive signal to a direct-current motor to drive the motor is provided. The motor controller includes a drive circuit that generates the drive signal. The drive circuit superimposes on a direct-current voltage an alternating-current component having a frequency in the audible frequency range of the human ear, thereby generating the drive signal.

Motor controller

A motor controller that outputs a drive signal to a direct-current brush motor to drive the motor is provided. The motor controller includes a drive signal generating section that generates the drive signal. The drive signal generating section generates the drive signal by superimposing on a direct-current voltage a compensation voltage for generating a compensation torque that can cancel rotation torque fluctuations in a no-load rotation state of the motor.

A conductive movable body opens and closes an opening portion formed in a conductive opening forming body. The movable body has a front edge portion positioned in a front side in the closing direction of the movable body. The opening portion has an opposed edge portion opposed to the front edge portion. The sensor is arranged in a layout body corresponding to one of the opening forming body and the movable body, and is arranged in one of the front edge portion and the opposed edge portion. The sensor is capable of detecting a conductive object-to-be-detected on the basis of a change of a capacitance between a sensor electrode and the object-to-be-detected coming close to the sensor electrode. A guard electrode is provided between the layout body and the sensor electrode. An electric potential of the guard electrode is kept equal to an electric potential of the sensor electrode or kept at a fixed rate with respect to the electric potential of the sensor electrode. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent an improper operation of a capacitance type sensor in the opening and closing apparatus.

Opening/closing device

A commutator having a plurality of segments, a short-circuit member assembly, a holding portion, and a plurality of spacing members is disclosed. The short-circuit member assembly includes a plurality of short-circuit pieces. Each short-circuit piece has an outer terminal, an inner terminal arranged radially inward from the outer terminal and circumferentially offset from the outer terminal at a predetermined offset angle, and a connecting portion connecting the inner terminal to the outer terminal. The holding portion covers the segments and at least a portion of the short-circuit member assembly to hold the segments and the short-circuit member assembly. The spacing members each have an insulated support portion and a plurality of insulated spacing projections formed integrally with the support portion. Each support portion extends in a radial direction of the short-circuit member assembly. The spacing projections are arranged in the direction in which the corresponding support members extend in such a manner that the spacing projections are each provided between the corresponding circumferentially adjacent pair of the connecting portions.

Commutator, direct-current motor, and method for manufacturing commutator

A pressure-sensitive sensor which is a load detecting device of the present invention is structured to include: an optical fiber of a predetermined length; a light-emitting element, disposed at a longitudinal direction one end side of the optical fiber, for emitting light and making the light incident from one end of the optical fiber; a light-receiving element, disposed at a longitudinal direction other end side of the optical fiber, for receiving light which has passed through the optical fiber and outputting a signal corresponding to an amount of received light; and a power source wire for light-emission and a ground wire for light-emission which are wound around an outer periphery of the optical fiber, and are formed in spiral forms along the outer periphery, and are connected to the light-emitting element. The power source wire for light-emission, which forms a spiral form at the outer periphery of the optical fiber, functions as a pressure element and improves sensitivity of the pressure-sensitive sensor.

Load detecting device

An opening/closing apparatus including a trapping detection structure which reliably implements detection of trapping of foreign objects, even at a structure at which an outer peripheral edge of a moving body or an inner peripheral edge of an opening includes corner portions with small radii of curvature. A pressure sensor which detects external forces from directions intersecting a length direction thereof is provided at an outer periphery portion of a back door. However, at a corner portion, at a lower end portion of a door side portion or the like, the pressure sensor is provided with a large curvature such that the pressure sensor keeps distant from the corner portion. In place thereof, another pressure sensor, with a facing pair of electrode sheets, is provided along the corner portion. When one or more of these pressure sensors detects an external force, the back door is moved for opening.

Opening and closing apparatus

A pinched object detection apparatus includes a couple of pressure sensors arranged at lateral end portions of a backdoor of a vehicle and another couple of pressure sensors arranged at lateral end portions of a rear opening of the vehicle. An object pinched between the lateral end portions of the rear gate and the backdoor can be detected with the corresponding pressure sensor arranged at the backdoor or pressure sensor arranged at the rear opening. Furthermore, an object pinched between the lateral end of the rear opening and an opposing gas damper can be detected with the corresponding pressure sensor arranged at the rear opening.

In a foreign material detector for a sliding door, a pressure sensor is disposed being offset toward a vehicle interior side and a substantial vehicle front side of a hem and being offset toward a substantial vehicle exterior side with respect to a position supported by a bracket as well, in order for the foreign material to be detected, even though a direction of a reaction force effected from a foreign material is tilted and intersected with respect to a moving direction of the sliding door.

Foreign material detector for sliding door and detecting method thereof

According to a pressure sensitive sensor and a method of treating a terminal of a pressure sensitive sensor of the invention, a covering portion is formed by a thermoplastic resin material for hot melt molding or a photo-curing resin material cured by absorbing light energy. That is, molding pressure in molding is lower than molding pressure in molding by a general injection molding method. Therefore, a possibility of effecting adverse influence on respective connecting portions of an electrode line, a resistor, a conductive piece and a lead wire by the molding pressure is extremely low and disconnection caused by operating the molding pressure on the connecting portions can reliably be prevented.
