A display module includes: a display unit having a display screen for displaying information; a display unit housing including a transparent front cover covering a display screen of the display unit, and a pair of side covers covering both sides of the display unit, wherein the display unit is attached to the display unit housing so as to be detachable; and shafts projecting outwards from the pair of side covers and supported so as to be freely rotatable when fitted in a pair of supporting holes made in a housing provided for an apparatus.

Display module

A plug-in unit-mounting structure which makes it possible to efficiently mount plug-in units having different sizes in all slots. PIUs of printed board type which are different in size are mounted using respective mounting frames associated therewith. Box-shaped PIUs are also mounted using respective mounting frame associated therewith. However, no guide rail is provided on the metal shelf per se, for guiding each PIU for mounting the same therein.

A PIU plug-in/plug-off mechanism for an electronic apparatus, which is capable of efficiently applying a force required for a plugging-in/off operation of connectors to a printed board by pressing a portion of the printed board close to a backplane. An operating handle of a card lever is turned counterclockwise to thereby bring a push pin into abutment with a rear edge of an open recess. When the card lever is further turned in this state, a pressing force for moving a plug-in unit in the insertion direction acts on an engaging member via an arm. This starts fitting the printed board into a plug-in connector without causing warping of the printed board.

PIU plug-in/plug-off mechanism for electronic apparatus

A heat radiating apparatus includes a radiator adhering to an electronic component mounted on a circuit board via an elastic member provided on the circuit board so that the electronic component is cooled. The radiator includes a plurality of projection parts, the elastic member includes an engaging part configured to engage the projection part and a radiator insert hole forming part where the radiator is inserted, and a pushing force is applied from the elastic member to the radiator by rotating the radiator so that the projection part is engaged by the engaging part, and thereby a bottom surface of the radiator is adhered to the electronic component.

A communication device includes a sub-rack unit and a plurality of plug-in units. The sub-rack unit includes a back wiring board having first connectors arranged in lines thereon, and a frame plate including vertical ribs and placed on said back wiring board so that the vertical ribs separate the lines of the first connectors. Each of the plug-in units includes: a printed board including top and bottom sides and parallel first and second sides, the printed board having second connectors provided on the first side thereof; a metal case including top and bottom faces, and parallel first and second side faces so as to cover the printed board; and first and second spring members. Each of said plug-in units is mounted in the sub-rack unit with the first and second connectors being connected so that the first and second side faces of the metal case are pressed outward against the vertical ribs of the frame plate by resilient forces of the first and second spring members, respectively.

An optical unit includes photoelectric conversion modules, a plurality of adapter support members whose upper parts are rotatably supported, and a plurality of optical connector adapters attached to lower ends of the adapter support members so as to be arranged next to each other, the optical connector adapters being contained in the optical unit. The adapter support members are rotated separately so that the optical connector adapters are extracted outside from the optical unit with a space formed between each adjacent two of said optical connector adapters. Each of the optical connector adapters has insertion holes to which optical connectors of optical fibers extending from the photoelectric conversion modules and optical connectors of external optical fibers are connected.

An electronic apparatus includes an optical connector adapting unit to which optical connectors of external optical fibers are connected. The optical connector adapting unit includes a plurality of optical connector adapters which are diagonally arranged on the front side of the apparatus. The optical connectors of the external optical fibers are diagonally detachable from the optical connector adapters. In this electronic apparatus, a large number of optical connectors of optical fibers can be connected and arranged in a restricted space.

A fan unit adapted to be detachably inserted and mounted into a cabinet for an electronic device accommodating a plurality of electronic circuit units, for forcibly air-cooling the interior of the cabinet. The fan unit includes a fan, a unit housing, and a connector. The fan has a frame member and a motor supported to the frame member. The motor has a rotating shaft on which an impeller is mounted. The impeller is rotated by the motor to generate an air flow. The unit housing is integrally formed by resin molding. The unit housing is of a substantially rectangular parallelepiped box-shape having a front plate, a rear plate, a lower plate, a first side plate, a second side plate, and an upper opening. The unit housing has a recessed fan mounting portion having an upper opening inside the lower plate, for engagingly accommodating the fan. The lower plate has at its portion corresponding to a bottom surface of the fan mounting portion a ventilation opening for allowing pass of the air flow generated by the fan. A rack comprises a plurality of lower guide rails arranged side by side to form the bottom thereof, and a plurality of upper guide rails arranged side by side to form the top thereo, for accommodating a plurality of electronic modules such as modems. Each of the modules includes a rectangular casing, lower and upper side edges of which are rounded or chamfered. The lower and upper guide rails are in vertical register with each other, respectively, and are vertically spaced from each other by a distance corresponding to a vertical height of the case. Each of the lower and upper guide rails has a pair of ridges coextended in parallel with each other and defining therebetween a guide path for complementarily and slidably receiving the corresponding side of the casing, whereby an outer width of the guide rails can be generally equal to a thickness of the casing due to the rounded or chamfered sides thereof. Also, a resilient detent element is provided in either of each lower guide rail or each upper guide rail to partially define an access opening formed therein for a person's finger to remove a module from the rack, and is engageable with the casing to lock the casing when it is accommodated in the rack. The detent element is resiliently deflected by putting a person's finger in the access opening, to thereby release a lock-engagement with the casing.
