To provide a dental glass ionomer cement composition having excellent adhesion strength to a metallic prosthesis. A dental glass ionomer cement composition includes a copolymer (A), a fluoroaluminosilicate glass powder (B) and water (C). The copolymer (A) includes a polymer or copolymer of &#x3b1;-&#x3b2; unsaturated carboxylic acid, or includes a copolymer of &#x3b1;-&#x3b2; unsaturated carboxylic acid and one or more kinds selected from a group of acrylamide, acrylonitrile, methacrylic acid ester, acrylates, vinyl chloride, allyl chloride and vinyl acetate. In the copolymer (A), the number of molecules of &#x3b1;-&#x3b2; unsaturated carboxylic acid occupies 50% or more of the total number of molecules. The dental glass ionomer cement composition further includes a compound (D) which contains a sulfur atom in one molecule, includes a carboxylic group and an amino group and does not include a polymerizable group.

Dental glass ionomer cement composition

To provide a dental glass ionomer cement for a sealer to be used for sealing a gap between a gutta-percha point filled in a root canal in a dental root canal treatment and a root canal wall, with a prolonged setting time and with sufficient setting property even in a root canal having much water content, the dental cement for a sealer includes a polymer of &#x3b1;-&#x3b2; unsaturated carboxylic acid, oxide powder capable of reacting with the polymer of &#x3b1;-&#x3b2; unsaturated carboxylic acid, and water, and further includes an organic acid salt of metal selected from Mg, Ca, and Sr and/or a hydroxide of metal selected from Mg, Ca, and Sr.

Dental cement composition

To provide a polymerizable composition having more excellent preservation stability of pastes than a conventional composition using a combination of a copper compound, cumene hydroperoxide, and N-acetylthiourea, and having a polymerization curing time which does not change with time, that is, does not delay or quicken from a time set for a product even though the composition is stored, the polymerizable composition includes a first paste and a second paste, wherein the first paste includes a polymer of &#x3b1;-&#x3b2; unsaturated monocarboxylic acid or &#x3b1;-&#x3b2; unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, water, and a hydroperoxide as a peroxide, and the second paste includes a (meth)acrylate compound not having an acid group, fluoroaluminosilicate glass powder, a thiourea derivative as a reducing material, and a vanadium compound as a polumerization accelerator.

Polymerizable composition

To provide a dental adhesive composition which does not decrease preservation stability when reacting with acidity for acquiring dental adhesive property, even though using a filler having X-ray imaging property, and does not need the conventional mixing and kneading of two or more components, the dental adhesive composition includes (a) a (meth)acrylate compound having an acid group, and (b) aluminosilicate glass powder containing Sr and/or Ba and/or Ca, and the dental adhesive composition further includes a filler and (c) a photopolymerization catalyst, where the filler does not substantially make a neutralization reaction with the (meth)acrylate compound having an acid group as the (a) component because a filler content is 15% by weight or less in terms of oxide of AlO, and those coexist is one.

A dental restorative material is disclosed, comprising an amorphous inorganic material having a refractive index in a D-line of sodium in the range of 1.470&tilde;1.520 and having an X-ray opacity; a (meth)acrylic ester monomer not having a benzene ring in a molecule thereof; and a polymerization initiator, if desired, the dental restorative material according to the invention further comprises an amorphous inorganic material having a refractive index in a D-line of sodium equal to or less than that of the (meth)acrylic ester monomer not having a benzene ring in a molecule thereof, the dental restorative material of the invention has an X-ray opacity and translucency close to natural teeth, and has superior esthetics not using a monomer having a benzene ring which has a fear of an environmental hormone action.

Dental restorative material

A dental filling resin composition is disclosed, comprising: a reaction product between an aluminosilicate glass powder containing at least one element selected from Ca, Sr, and Ra and an organic acid containing one or more carboxyl groups in one molecule thereof, a methanol-insoluble polymer, a monomer containing at least one unsaturated double bond and having no acidic group, and a polymerization initiator, and optionally a filler. The dental filling resin composition of the invention has not only superior mechanical characteristics and esthetics but also an ability to release a fluorine ion and therefore, can be suitably used for a wide variety of clinical applications such as filling restoration of tooth, core construction, or sealing of pit and fissure.
