Various embodiments include an aperture stop for a camera with folded optics. In some examples, a folded optics arrangement of the camera may include one or more lens elements and one or more light path folding elements (e.g., a prism or a mirror). The aperture stop may be an elongated aperture stop. According to various examples, one or more prisms of the folded optics arrangement may have an elongated dimension in the same direction as an elongated dimension of the elongated aperture stop. In some embodiments, the aperture stop may be located between a prism and a lens group of the folded optics arrangement. In some embodiments, the aperture stop may be located proximate an optical element that optically powers a prism of the folded optics arrangement.

An optical power prism that may be used in folded lens systems that consists of a glass prism and a glass lens attached to a surface of the prism using a thin layer of optical glue or by optical contact. The glass lens does not have a flange and thus the prism can be smaller than prisms used in conventional power prisms with the same lens effective area, thus reducing the Z-height of the power prism when compared to conventional power prisms. An optical glass may be used for the lens that has a higher refractive index than can be provided by optical plastic which allows the lens to be thinner than plastic lenses. The lenses may be formed by molding a glass wafer to form lens shapes on a first surface of the wafer; the molded wafer is then ground from a second surface to singulate the lenses.

Each of pixels of recorded image is formed by a plurality of dots composed with ink droplets ejected from a plurality of different orifices at individual different main-scannings. With this recording process, the variation of ink ejection characteristics between a plurality of orifices in a recording head can be reduced in forming pixels.

In order to deposit a liquid for improving fixing ability and water resistance of an ink at an optimal position in an appropriate amount, to maximize an effect of the liquid, and to easily generate a driving data for ejecting the liquid, low resolution printing data for respective of four printing heads is read out from a frame memory. A logical sum of the printing data is calculated by an OR circuit. Then, the logical sum is processed by a look-up table to generate the driving data for the liquid ejecting head corresponding to high resolution.

In an ink jet printer, formation time of processing for generating data for providing a treatment liquid for improving fixing or water resistance of an ink by insolubilizing or coagulating a color material in the ink is reduced. For this purpose, to perform HV conversion for raster data for image data related to printing, processing for temporarily storing image data and processing of rewriting the HV conversion result are performed in a same sequence. For example, a treatment liquid data formation register having the same structure as an HV conversion register is provided. By selectively outputting the pattern data read from the memory in accordance with the forming position, color image data whose resolution has been converted is output to form an image.
