A printing paper having a base paper and an outermost coating layer is provided, and satisfies at least one of the following characteristics (I), (II) and (III): (I) when an aqueous solution having a surface tension of 20 mN/m is dropped on the side having the outermost coating layer of the printing paper, a contact angle between the droplet and the outermost coating layer is 40&#xb0; or more and 65&#xb0; or less; (II) for the side having the outermost coating layer of the printing paper, a transfer amount of an aqueous solution having a surface tension of 20 mN/m at a contact time of 1 second as determined by the Bristow method is 5.0 ml/mor more and 12.0 ml/mor less; and (III) on the surface of the outermost coating layer of the printing paper, a maximum peak value of specular reflection light quantity of a point image is 2,000 or more and 30,000 or less.

A coated paper for industrial inkjet printing presses that achieves excellent uniformity in color densities and ink absorbability, has the capability of suppressing strike-through of inks, and achieves excellent paper feeding characteristics is provided. The paper comprises: a base paper, and a coating layer containing at least one selected from the group consisting of a cationic resin and a water-soluble polyvalent cationic salt, and a pigment containing kaolin, on the base paper. The coated paper surface on the side where the coating layer is located has an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) of is 4.5 &#x3bc;m to 7.5 &#x3bc;m, and has 1 to 350 protruding parts per 1.0 square centimeter, wherein a protruding part has a maximum width of 10 &#x3bc;m to 100 &#x3bc;m measured using a photographed image of the coated paper surface taken by magnifying 50 times using an electron microscope.

Coated paper for industrial inkjet printing presses and method of producing the same

An imaging apparatus having an opening of a front casing caulked with a pressure member. An O-ring is used for caulking the front casing and is designed to have an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the first lens, and an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the pressure member. When the pressure member is screw fitted, the O-ring is compressed. Thus, a clearance formed by the edge portion of the first lens and the inner wall surface of the pressure member is caulked by the deformation of the O-ring occurring when the O-ring is pressed.
