In connectors including a housing having a separation wall, an impedance of a portion of a terminal in close proximity to the separation wall is suppressed from dropping excessively. Housings of the connector include a separation wall positioned between adjacent terminals. The separation wall includes a one-side opposing face and an other-side opposing face. Furthermore, the separation wall is formed between the one-side opposing face and the other-side opposing face, and includes a gap portion positioned between the adjacent terminals.

Connector

A connector is provided that includes a terminal for which, taking a plate width direction of a first retained portion as a first plate width direction, a plate thickness direction of a second retained portion faces in a direction intersecting with a flat plane perpendicular to the first plate width direction, and that is easy to manufacture and is applicable to high speed transmission.

For a connector including a terminal and a housing into which the terminal is inserted, the degrees of freedom of design are raised for a retaining portion that retains the terminal, and adjustment of connector characteristics such as impedance is facilitated. A connector is configured including terminals (signal terminals and power source terminals) and housings into which the terminals are inserted. The housings are configured including a first housing (the fitting housing) and a second housing (the mounted housing). The first housing includes first side retaining portions (signal terminal retaining portions and power source terminal retaining portions of the fitting housing) that retain portions of the terminals. The second housing includes second side retaining portions (signal terminal retaining portions and power source terminal retaining portions of the mounted housing) that retain other portions of the terminals.

Connector with first and second side retaining portions

A connector includes a movable housing, a fixed housing, plural signal terminals, and a pair of power source terminals. Each of the power source terminals is formed in an elongated shape with a length in a span direction as viewed along an insertion/removal direction, spans between a pair of sidewalls, includes a span direction intermediate portion retained by a terminal array direction end portion of the movable housing, and includes second elastic portions each capable of undergoing elastic deformation at a location positioned between the movable housing and the pair of sidewalls.

A movable connector including a stationary housing to be fixed to a substrate, a movable housing configured capable of moving relative to the stationary housing, and a terminal including a stationary-side retained portion retained at the stationary housing, a movable-side retained portion retained at the movable housing, and an elastically deformable movable portion positioned between the stationary-side retained portion and the movable-side retained portion. Retention of the stationary-side retained portion with respect to the stationary housing is achieved by performing insert molding. Retention of the movable-side retained portion with respect to the movable housing is achieved by performing press-fitting.

Movable connector

A connector includes: a first connector including a fitting portion and a first terminal provided in the fitting portion; and a second connector including a fitted portion configured to be fitted into the fitting portion of the first connector and a second terminal that is provided on the fitted portion, extends along a fitting direction, and comes into electrical contact with the first terminal in a case where the fitted portion is fitted into the fitting portion of the first connector, in which in the second terminal, a wide-width portion is formed in the second terminal, and the first terminal comes into contact with the wide-width portion of the second terminal from a state in which the fitted portion of the second connector is started to be fitted into the fitting portion of the first connector to a state in which the fitted portion cannot be fitted any further.

Electrical connector to increase connection reliability and control the impedance of the terminals

A movable connector including a stationary housing for fixing to a substrate, a movable housing capable of moving relative to the stationary housing, and a restriction fitting that has been integrated with the stationary housing. The restriction fitting includes a counterpart engagement portion. The counterpart engagement portion is configured to abut an engagement portion that is part of the movable housing from a connector upward direction so as to enable the engagement portion to be restrained in a restraint space that is a predetermined region. The counterpart engagement portion forms a through-pass section to permit the engagement portion to pass into the restraint space from outside.

A connector includes a fixed housing provided with a first side wall extending along an array direction of plural signal terminals, and a second side wall extending along an array-orthogonal direction that is orthogonal to both a fitting direction and the array direction. Each of the signal terminals spans between the first side wall and a movable housing, and a power source terminal span between the second side wall and the movable housing.

Connector with prevention of lopsidedness in a movable region of a movable housing with respect to a fixed housing

A connector includes: a stationary housing; a movable housing; a stationary terminal that is retained in the stationary housing; a movable terminal that includes a contact portion and that is retained in the movable housing, the contact portion of the movable terminal being configured to follow movement of the movable housing; a movable shield that follows movement of the movable housing; and a stationary shield. The movable shield and the stationary shield are in mutual contact so as to have electrical continuity. The stationary shield and the movable shield are configured to slide against one another while maintaining electrical continuity when the movable housing moves in the front-rear or the left-right direction with respect to the stationary housing.
