An expansion anchor having an anchor bolt, an expansion sleeve surrounding the anchor bolt, and an expansion body located in a front region of the anchor bolt, wherein the expansion body has a converging zone for expanding the expansion sleeve. The expansion body has at least one expansion sleeve abutment wall facing the expansion sleeve. The invention also relates to a method for using such an expansion anchor.

An expansion anchor including an anchor bolt, and at least one expansion shell located at the anchor bolt, wherein the anchor bolt includes a wedge zone for expanding the at least one expansion shell, a neck zone accommodating at least parts of the expansion shell, the neck zone being located rearwardly of the wedge zone, an abutment zone forming a rearward stop for the expansion shell, the abutment zone being located rearwardly of the neck zone, and a rear zone for intruding tensile force into the anchor bolt, the rear zone being located rearwardly of the abutment zone, wherein the anchor bolt is provided with at least one forwards groove, located in front of the abutment zone. The anchor bolt is provided with an aligned rearwards groove, which is aligned with the at least one forwards groove, and which is located rearwardly of the abutment zone.

An expansion anchor includes an anchor bolt and an expansion sleeve which encompasses the anchor bolt. The anchor bolt has an expansion-sleeve expansion region and an expansion-element expansion region. The expansion sleeve has an expansion element which is disposed on the expansion sleeve. The expansion sleeve is radially displaceable by the expansion-sleeve expansion region and the expansion element is radially displaceable by the expansion-element expansion region. The expansion element is disposed on the expansion sleeve on a side of the expansion sleeve that radially faces the anchor bolt.

An expansion anchor includes an anchor bolt and an expansion sleeve which surrounds the anchor bolt. The expansion sleeve has an expansion tongue and an anchor tongue and the anchor bolt has a backward-pointing expansion slope for radially displacing the expansion tongue and a backward-pointing anchor slope for radially displacing the anchor tongue. The backward-pointing anchor slope extends more steeply than the backward-pointing expansion slope at least in some regions.

A device for torque limiting is provided, including a holding element for a nut or a screw head, the holding element including a top part having an entrainment profile in a rear area of the holding element for the rotatably fixed coupling of the top part with a setting tool, and the holding element including a receiving part having a receptacle in a front area of the holding element for rotatably fixedly accommodating the nut or the screw head. According to the invention, the holding element includes three torque-transmitting webs, which connect the receiving part and the top part and which form a predetermined breaking point. The invention also relates to a fastening arrangement made up of a device of this type and an expansion anchor.

A device for torque limiting, which includes a nut and a holding element including a top part having an entrainment profile in a rear area for the rotatably fixed coupling of the top part with a setting tool. A receiving part has a receptacle in a front area of the holding element, in which the nut is rotatably fixedly accommodated. A device for torque transmission from the top part to the receiving part connects the top part and the receiving part and breaks at a limiting torque, interrupting the connection between the top part and the receiving part. The holding element includes at least one holding claw situated on the receiving part and securing the nut in the receptacle on the front side of the nut. A fastening arrangement made up of an expansion anchor and a device of this type for torque limiting as well as a method for manufacturing a device of this type.

A device for torque limiting, has a nut having a female thread. A holding element includes a top part having an entrainment profile in a rear area of the holding element for the rotatably fixed coupling of the top part with a setting tool and a receiving part having a receptacle in a front area of the holding element, in which the nut is rotatably fixedly accommodated, the top part having a passage, through which a threaded rod screwed into the nut may be led out of the holding element through the top part along the longitudinal axis of the device. The holding element includes a web connecting the receiving part and the top part and which forms a predetermined breaking point. In at least one longitudinal sectional plane of the device, the smallest wall thickness of the at least one web is present on a line segment of minimum wall thickness, which runs at an angle greater than 45&#xb0; with respect to the longitudinal axis of the device. A method for manufacturing an expansion anchor is provided, in which a bolt is provided, which includes an expansion body for expanding an expansion sleeve surrounding the bolt, an annular sleeve blank having an opening is provided, the bolt is introduced into the opening of the annular sleeve blank, and the annular sleeve blank is reduced in diameter while the bolt is located in the opening of the annular sleeve blank. The invention also relates to expansion anchors, which may be obtained with the aid of the method according to the invention, in particular bolt-type anchors having closed annular expansion sleeves and, in particular, anchors having expansion sleeves with protruding noses, which are each situated on a closing fold of the expansion sleeve.

An expansion anchor includes a bolt as a first element and an expansion part as a second element. One of the two elements has a first rib running longitudinally along the bolt and the other of the two elements has a first groove running longitudinally along the bolt, where the first rib engages in the first groove. The one of the two elements has a second rib running longitudinally along the bolt and the other of the two elements has a second groove running longitudinally along the bolt, where the second rib engages in the second groove. A first catch of a snap connection is formed between the first rib and the first groove and a second catch of the snap connection is formed between the second rib and the second groove, where the first catch and the second catch hold the expansion part radially to the bolt.

The inventive method of forming anchors comprises following steps. A rod-shaped workpiece is roll-formed by penetrating the rod-shaped workpiece with two wedge-shaped tools at two points. The two points are arranged on opposite sides and axially separated of a plane perpendicular to an axis of the rod-shaped workpiece. The two wedge-shaped tools are axially approaching to the plane while the rod-shaped workpiece is revolved around the axis. The roll-formed workpiece is separated along the plane for forming two bolts. A sleeve is applied around the anchor bolts.

Method of forming anchors

An anchor bolt for an expansion anchor, and a method of producing the anchor bolt, is disclosed. The anchor bolt has an expansion body which is arranged coaxially with respect to an axis, where a circumferential surface of the expansion body has ribs and grooves in an alternating manner in a circumferential direction. Top surfaces of the ribs diverge from the axis in a direction along the axis. Bottom surfaces of the grooves converge in the direction of the axis.
